Gene Steinberg's Financial Shenanigans @ Paracast forums

Yep and sometimes more extensive repairs are needed, batteries and tires are not considered extensive repairs, those items fall under something called Preventative Maintenance...I've recently spent over 3000 dollars on repairs to my vehicle however 700 dollars of that actually did get spent on tires and a battery, four new tires and a new battery...The rest of that 3k went towards some major repair work in the fuel injection and would you believe 700 dollars for a new radiator, never thought they cost that much...It's still not running right and going back in the shop soon for some electrical work, after that I'm considering to trade it in on something else, because of the higher than normal repairs cost I've been paying lately, but it also may not need anything else done to it for a while lol...

My point, simply expounding upon yours, is that preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance are required for these vehicles we operate...You're going to be faced with those ordinary repairs bills sooner or later Gene Steinberg, you can only ignore changing your tires for so long, that's your responsibility not anyone else...I know what's it's like to be tight on cash, and if you really are, do something responsible people do, create budgets and live within your means...

...
Not lost on me: This jerk was ready and willing to transport strangers in that car for money. On bald tires.

Changes are afoot.

After nearly two decades, I've sold the technightowl.com domain and site.

But it doesn't mean that I'm giving up writing about technology.

Or retiring for the matter. I continue to host and produce my paranormal radio show, The Paracast, and I"ll continue to focus on other businesses.

Including this forum.

Now other than getting an occasional offer or two over the years, I've long considered giving up on technightowl.com. For one thing, just telling support people my email address, with that domain, has been surprisingly difficult. After spelling it out, three simple words, over and over again, I often end up giving out my mac.com or Gmail addresses instead.

Going forward, I've moved the forum and nearly a decade of episodes of The Tech Night Owl LIVE to a new site -- macradio.net. There's a story about that too, since I first bought this domain in 2002 when I actually hosted a radio show at Mac Radio. The ".com" domain is out there, but the owner is doing nothing but hoping to sell it, and I'm not buying.

So I will continue the tech newsletter as "Gene Steinberg's Mac Radio Newsletter." Once emailed, issues will be posted in this forum. Shows will remain available for download from such sites as iTunes, Blubrry and Stitcher. Although I stopping making new episodes last year for the GCN network, there's always the possibility that I'll record a new episode from time to time.

I've lots to write about, such as the increasing rumors that Apple plans to move Macs to its own ARM design from Intel, that Apple is now a $1.5 trillion company. Well you get the picture.

In the meantime, I have always treasured your support. If you want to show your appreciation, fell free to send a donation to fund my ongoing work.

Hunh, I thought he'd given up on Tech Night Owl at least a year ago, more like a year and a half. I guess the "change" here is that he actually managed to sell the domain name?

Hopefully he got enough to get his car repaired, though I'm skeptical the domain name / site could be seen as of much value to anyone save Scheme Gene Steinberg himself.

What makes Steinberg think that by selling the tech night owl domain that anybody will go to his new radio program? His logic escapes me.

"Sold" a defunct web address, yet managed to hold onto the content it housed???

Right.

Who was it that said you cannot trust a single word from this guy?

But. But! He hasn't been in a casino in like forever, except that one time he got his picture taken in one, and that's only because some family gathering took place there for some reason. :yes3:

Folks any thoughts that gambling was going on is wiped away as to what the old tech night owl had become.. take a look..

Now he may have sold it but this makes it clear.. This and the massive ads for online casinos on the Paracast.

The apple disclaimer is odd as well..
Gene claims he never been in a casino may be true.. because he gambles on line.. no wonder he begged..

This falls under the saying of an old dog can’t learn new tricks. Steinberg will go to his grave saying the same old nonsense. He is incapable of changing his tune. It’s all about him and his precious Paracast website.

By the way, does anyone still frequent his website these days? I would imagine it is still a ghost town.

Well, it's "precious" if the currency is dongs, I suppose. Good one. lol
