Really itching to go to the mountains for a few days camping in one of my favourite remote areas...It has all the luxuries that rough camping offers, no cellular service, natural springs, wildlife visiting the camp at night, and seclusion from humanity...

I've had problems copying links from Edge.

I'm not liking the update to Edge browser, it won't allow me to stop a page from loading...I used to be able to stop the page from loading so all the ads and popups arent loaded but now since updating the browser wont allow me to do this...grrrr

After downloading the new Edge I get around 300 MB's & 2 - 3 thousand items loaded per day. o_O

Yesterday morning I drove in to the small town near me to get some dog food, one thought led to another, then I was heading north to the mountains and spent the day hiking with my dog lol...We went up on the Blue Ridge Parkway hiking in Doughton park, it's a beautiful and large national park, the temperature at about 3700 feet elevation was 70 degrees and sunshine...I didn't have any gear for camping but decided to spend the night in the area, so I went into Sparta and picked up a few things and drove to Stone mountain state park nearby Doughton and got a campsite for the night...About 3 hours ago it started raining, my dog and I were sleeping in a small 2-man tent I picked up in Sparta and I decided to just head back home since the forecast was calling for more rain in the area all morning...I just got back home an hour ago...

Here's some scenic pictures of the area...

This pic you can see a small cabin from the early settlers way down at the bottom of the mountain I'm standing on in that small clearing below...

Kobi on one of the trails, I had him in a long lead because of drop-offs and deer nearby, didn't want him chasing something and fall off a cliff..

Now if I was one of those fancy-schmancy east coast Sasquatches, that's where I'd hang out

Slim pickings last night. Normally it's a local club that meets here once a week, now it's just whoever shows up and doesn't get too close. And it wasn't too many.

Oddly, to quite a few the hobby seems to involve sitting in lawn chairs getting fat and very little wrench turning.

I did see a 30K survivor '74 four door Satellite that I would gladly make mine but I have nowhere to keep the damned thing. Would make a fantastic sleeper. And money sucking black hole too ..... or metallic brown actually.

There. I've broken the wall of anonymity. That really is my hairy blurry knee.

I was looking for signs of Bigfoot during our hikes but nothing this time, I didn't see any panther tracks this time either, however did see bear tracks and bear dung, bobcat tracks, and of course plenty of deer, rabbits, and coyotes....

In the small town near me they have a classic car meet every Saturday morning during the Spring and Summer months but I haven't seen that happen this year...

Still tired from that road trip yesterday, was totally spontaneous, didn't have any gear with me but it was great...My dog is wore out too from all the hiking and we didn't sleep very good nor very much last night in our tent...

I've been on a cleaning spree today like a spring cleaning, breezed through half the house, all the back rooms, bath and kitchen, phew catching my breath now lol...

The generator project is coming along just fine but I may die as a result of it. Quite a lot of digging, a bit more than expected. Yesterday I got the 1" schedule 40 installed and got it through the walls of my house and the shed. Took about 85' of wire just for that part. Now I have to put in the various boxes and then connect the two circuits to my panel. Time consuming but not difficult and definitely not backbreaking.

With the gyms closed I actually welcome the exercise. Feels good in an aching-I-need-Ibuprofen kind of way.

The gyms have been open in Pennsylvania for the past month or so. My wife has a membership to Planet Fitness but she hasn’t gone back yet. There is a supposed limit to the number of people allowed in the building. Whenever we drive by the gym the parking lot seems full to me. I wonder how closely they are obeying the rules.

The shadow

The shadow knows!
The Twins bought fall clothes from Rikki's shop. As 18 year old girls they now can buy stuff from her. Most were high fashion. But the swimwear reminded me why her shop is 18 plus.
Rikki reminded me they are 18 besides she owns stuff from the shop.
Classes are set for virtual start.
So I was surprised as how much money they spent.
Again I was reminded it's their money..

They are reopening here in NY but at 1/3 capacity. Gold's says reservations are required. No showers, steam rooms, etc.
My wife and I were just talking about this - not too happy with covidgym so we'll wait and see what happens. Been working out regularly my entire adult life, this sucks.

Speaking of cars, I got mine back yesterday. Diagnostics, 4 new tires, new motor for the electric windows, oil change, and new exhaust system - $1,228.

He's still waiting for parts to come in from the US for my new air conditioning unit. He told what they were but it just went in one ear and out the other. lol

I gotta pay car insurance this month too. The government took the cap off insurance rates and now everyone pays 15% more this year.

I'm heading over to my mom's house to install a vinyl floor in her sunroom...It shouldn't be too difficult, a no-glue thick floating vinyl, the room is only 9 feet by 14 feet rectangle with one 5 inch tab for the doorway...
