The P C Madness thread.

Dejan Corovic

As above, so bellow
yeah, but we are all equal and everybody should be given equal chance.

Every human being has unlimited potential and by oppressing each other we destroy that potential and in turn harm society as a whole.

A good example is Isack Newton, who was just a village boy from Cambridgeshire, England. And he wrote equations that today enable us to travel between the planets of the Solar system and even colonize Mars in near future. What would have happened if Isac Newton was oppressed because he was Protestant, or provincial, or white, or whatever? There are hundreds of examples like that.

Case in point, among other things, Nazi's lost WWII because they gassed all the Jewish scientists who would otherwise build them atom bomb :) : "Only about 2% of the U.S. population is of full Ashkenazi Jewish descent,[1] but 27% of United States Nobel prize winners in the 20th century". from Wikipedia. Those Jewish scientists who escaped Nazis, like Einstein, than built atom bomb with which Allies defeated Japan ;-) .

Moral of the story, it's for your own benefit to give your best people a decent chance, regardless of idiosyncratic things like race, religion, politics etc.

There is nothing wrong with being woke, except when they destroy historical monuments. How are we going to learn from our mistakes if we erase history? That's censorship and brainwash. We should build new monuments, and leave old monuments as they are.

Oikophobia -- The fear and hatred of one's own culture and people. It has brought down civilizations since there have been civilizations. And now we're infected, too.

GOP reps push resolution to ban Democratic Party over past slavery ties

(excerpt)

"As outlined in the resolution, a great portion of the history of the Democratic Party is filled with racism and hatred," Gohmert said. "Since people are demanding we rid ourselves of the entities, symbols, and reminders of the repugnant aspects of our past, then the time has come for Democrats to acknowledge their party’s loathsome and bigoted past, and consider changing their party name to something that isn’t so blatantly and offensively tied to slavery, Jim Crow, discrimination, and the Ku Klux Klan."

He added: "To avoid triggering innocent bystanders by the racist past of the Democratic Party, I would suggest they change their name. That is the standard to which they are holding everyone else, so the name change needs to occur."

John Boyega says Disney 'sidelined' his Star Wars character Finn over his race

John Boyega says Disney 'sidelined' his Star Wars character Finn over his race

When I first heard that another young British actor had landed himself a nice juicy role in a very-much-anticipated movie franchise [and one of my favourites at that!] I was very pleased to see that it was a young man that I was familiar with, largely through a low-budget indie film that just about filled a spot in my "cheapie-but-watchable-couple-of-hours" list.
And then when I watched the first of the trilogy, I wasn't at all disappointed... it turned out that John Boyega had in fact bagged himself a pretty impressive role which by far outstripped his experience and qualifications [if you know what I mean] ... and then as the trilogy came and went with varying degrees of prestige , I was of the opinion that despite his obvious limitations ... or should I say 'acting and screen-presence averageness' he had acquitted himself satisfactorily. ... and should well be enabled to use this great opportunity that he was given as a mighty springboard to consolidate a fine character-driven career over there in Tinseltown and want for nothing ever again ... but having just read this 'sour-grape-chip-on-shoulder-BLM-bandwagon-jumping' article with this ... what I can only describe as a misdirected attempt at a publicity headline grab ... I sit here actually wanting his diminishing starlight to vanish from the memory of all future casting directors! ... And am wondering just which thoughtless oaf [agent] is failing to direct this idiot in his career publicity path???? ....
What do you guys think to this ungrateful brat? ... or am I not seeing things correctly? o_O

Cheers.

The danger in the current climate is that someone can see themselves as worthy of success out of proportion with their ability, and when it does not come, and they blame the denial of that success on racism, instead of everyone else responding 'whatever', the left wing media will rally to their cause and say 'that's correct'. The aggrieved party becomes a poster child of the Left's present fancy, and in return their success and status receives a boost.

Another scenario that I've seen on social media as of late; someone stating they did not know this or that about a particular subject when a discussion forms about said subject, so they go on to blame their ignorance on society or the media or anybody else they can for hiding or concealing or covering up that information instead of accepting their own ignorance in lacking to learning for themselves...Spoon-fed snowflakes IMO...

I read something recently in a blog post randomly recommended to me, I think it might have been something to do with the Mozilla Foundation, where the author, in a piece about systemic racism, said they had heard of Elvis Presley, but claimed to have been until recently ignorant of Chuck Berry and Little Richard. I thought yeah, right. Who, out of anyone who knows even a smattering of information about the history of rock 'n' roll music, has not heard of Chuck Berry and Little Richard?

Historical accounts in television and in popular books have long tried to market themselves as 'previously untold' stories. Often, if you have read accounts of the subjects being discussed you find that the 'untold story' is actually already in many such accounts. Latterly, these previously-told 'untold stories' are often styled by left wing agitators as people of colour being written out of history by systemic racism.

Dreyer's announces new name for 'derogatory' Eskimo Pie months after pausing production

After more than 100 years, Dreyer’s is changing its popular Eskimo Pie ice cream bar to Edy’s Pie. The new name was announced by the brand Monday.

The new name was a long time coming. Back in June, the company stated its intention to rename its “derogatory” product name.

“We are committed to being a part of the solution on racial equality, and recognize the term is derogatory,” said Elizabell Marquez, head of marketing for its parent Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, the U.S. subsidiary for Froneri, in a statement to FOX Business in June. “This move is part of a larger review to ensure our company and brands reflect our people values.”

Since then, Dreyer’s has paused production of the ice cream bars while coming up with new branding and packaging for the treat.

After months of discussion, the brand decided on Edy’s Pie, named after one of the company’s founders, Joseph Edy.

The chocolate-coated ice cream bar will be available under its new name early next year, according to the company.

“We anticipate Edy’s Pie ice cream bars to be on shelf in early 2021. Our mission at Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is to bring joy to everyday life with ice cream and we look forward to our Edy’s Pie ice cream bars continuing to do just that,” Marquez said in a statement to Fox News.

In June, in the wake of Black Lives Matter protests following the death of George Floyd during an arrest by Minneapolis police, several brands underwent name or logo changes in an effort to eliminate racially-insensitive branding. Among them were Aunt Jemima, Mrs. Butterworth’s and Uncle Ben’s.

This is one subject that makes my teeth grind when I read it. Here is an actor who landed a plum role in a monster movie franchise and now he is bellyaching. Does he realize how good he has it? Evidently he doesn’t. It isn’t just him. There are plenty of other Hollywood types who bitch and complain from the comfort of their mansions.

How is it that these people have forgotten where they originally came from? They are making more money from one movie than most of us will make in a lifetime. Another complaint that gets me is when someone bitches about not being able to handle “the pressures of success.” Step aside please and let me take over for you.

I don't get it. Is merely referencing an ethnicity derogatory? How about Irish whiskey? French toast?

Precisely SS, ... I also think that 'his gripe' was in fact a calculated attempt to glean more bigger and better roles via guilt-trip-sympathy rather than suitability and talent. ... I mean... well, being that the average 'hollywood star' manages to make more than one film per year at their height of fame. ... which is all that John Boyega has managed [including the Star Wars movies] since his big break. Is that really down to being black? ... if so then why has other young black actors such as ? ... say Michael B Jordan made a heck of a lot more? ;) .. So, as Standingstones says... "shut up bitching John, and go and enjoy your luxurious lifestyle and work a bit harder at being irreplaceable when you get work!"

Cheers.

They had better not mess with 'Yorkshire Puddings' ... or there will be trouble here in the dales!!:p ... No seriously now wwkirk, it just simply gets sillier by the day doesn't it?! ... it really irks me that I would be attacked as being 'racist' if I were to criticize the fact that the ancient names of many of our streets over here are going to be changed to accommodate the BLM movement in Britain. There's never been any racism in my family, but I can assure you that both my Mother and Father would have had something to say about all of this stupidity if they were still here with us! :(

Cheers Buddy.
