Spent the day working on the Lincoln, its an ol 90 towncar. I put a new door hinge pin in the drivers bottom hinge. That only took 2 hours, so i than changed the thermostat, i broke the ol housing trying to get it back on, and i ended up with a my gasket thermostat housing, it ended up going on alot more easily. it took 5 1/2 hours.. i figured it would`ve been the other way around, time wize. I also ordered new window regulators for both front doors, for me to do on my next day off sunday. So far i have spent $900 on this 30 year old car, cause i cant afford a new one at the moment. I have put new front rotors and brakes, muffler, rear springs in place of the airbags, door hinge, thermostat, and window regulators. The damn thing still wont have a/c and wont as far as i give a hoot. Bad thing about it its probably not worth what i got into it. But its been dependable for the last 15 years i had it, and i only paid $700 for it back than. I figure it can last 5 more years than by that time my house will be paid off, than i can get a new car.
