The Roswell Bodies and Wreckage: The Most Controversial Theory of All?
By Nick Redfern

For decades, stories of alien abductions, UFO encounters, Flying Saucer sightings, and Area 51 have led millions of people to believe that extraterrestrials are secretly among us. But what if those same millions of people are all wrong? What if the UFO phenomenon has much darker, and far more ominous, origins than the realm of outer-space?

Since 2007, I have been carefully and quietly investigating the strange world of a secret group buried deep within the U.S. Government nicknamed the Collins Elite. In 2010, my book, Final Events and the Secret Government Group on Demonic UFOs and the Afterlife was published and told the story of my findings. It is the belief of the group that far from being extraterrestrial in origin, our purported alien visitors are, in reality, deceptive demons and fallen-angels; the minions of Satan, who are paving the way for Armageddon, Judgment Day, and the reaping and enslavement of our very souls. It’s important to note that I do not personally adhere to the beliefs of the Collins Elite, as I have consistently noted in just about every interview I did for the book. I wrote the book for one reason: because I found it fascinating there was a group in government that fully believes the UFO issue is demonic and – quite literally – hellish.

devil-2249063_640-570x443.jpg

I was prompted to investigate the story of the Collins Elite after speaking, in 2007, with a man named Ray Boeche, who is a priest and also a former State-Director for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) in Lincoln, Nebraska. Back in 1991, Ray was contacted by a pair of physicists who were working on a classified Department of Defense program to contact what were described to Ray as “Non-Human Entities”” or NHEs. Initially, the NHEs – contact with whom was done in a mind to mind fashion only, and in a way that paralleled the government’s remote-viewing programs of the 1970s and 1980s – were believed to have extraterrestrial origins.

That view changed radically when a deep and dark atmosphere enveloped the group. There were near-endless runs of bad luck, people attached to the program died under mysterious circumstances, and the group ultimately came to believe that the NHEs were not ETs after all, but deceptive and deadly demons, seeking to manipulate and control us, the human race. The two physicists were deeply troubled by all this, hence the reason why they contacted Ray Boeche, to determine if he was able to offer advice and guidance, given his background as both a priest and a ufologist. When Ray told me all this – and much more too – it prompted me to dig further into the work of this mysterious, shadowy think-tank-type organization, which I learned went by the nickname of the Collins Elite. Whether it has a more formal title I still do not know.

Roswell-Report-570x760.jpg

Beyond any shadow of doubt at all, the strangest belief of the Collins Elite was that relative to the Roswell affair of July 1947. In what is certainly a unique fashion, they came to believe that nothing – extraterrestrial or otherwise – crashed at Roswell. Rather, the group concluded that the event was “staged” – a “Trojan Horse”-type event provoked by demons trying to deceive us into accepting the idea that vulnerable ETs had crashed at Roswell, and who were responsible for the wave of Flying Saucer encounters that gripped the nation in the summer of 1947. For the Collins Elite, the “alien debris” and “memory metal” said to have been recovered at the crash site on the Foster Ranch, New Mexico, were nothing less than the result of diabolical “demonic alchemy.” In other words, the group formed an opinion that these strange entities “weaved” the materials, then had it manifest on the Foster Ranch, thus creating the image of a crash of something exotic from the skies. But, what of the bodies said to have been found at the site?

Well, the Collins Elite had an answer to that issue too. Their members claimed to have read reports suggesting that no literal bodies were ever found at Roswell – at all. Rather, they maintained that certain “biological materials” were recovered. Is it possible that some equally strange form of diabolical alchemy was at work to create not just the so-called memory-metal that a number of players in the Roswell saga described seeing, but also to generate a type of extraterrestrial Jackalope, a creature that looks real and that exhibits prime evidence of DNA, flesh, bone, and skin, but that is, in reality, nothing more than a brilliant piece of hoaxing? This is most certainly what the Collins Elite came to accept as – ahem – gospel.

There is interview footage with Frankie Rowe out there --I've seen it and it is good, but I've forgotten where I saw it! Anyone know?

Interestingly the person I know who used to live next to General Craigie, said he told her that "we shouldn't be afraid of them".. As if he knew what the secret official policy was, and was not in agreement. The person I know is quite old. I got her to make a statement on iPhone video once, but she was so nervous and it was so bad that I deleted it. She said I could talk about it with others so I am. She know nothing about UFO history but for her contact with Craigie. She told me he told her he promised Truman he wouldn't talk about it.. The rumor was for years that he said he promised the Air Force he wouldn't talk about it, and that backs it up. The most shocking thing was that she told me about the pictures he would take down in his study when folks would visit so they wouldn't be upset by them., What were they of? Roswell crash debris?

That's it! Thanks. I remember that Larry King segment. He had a lot about UFOs and some funny on-air debates too. I hope Bill Nye and deGrass Tyson live long enough to discover they are wrong, wrong. Very wrong.

The sad fact is that anyone who wrote a book on Roswell will never let this subject die. As long as a dollar can be made, Roswell will live on.

Cheers.
There was a documentary about it yesterday. (I'm not sure what's required to view it.)

I watched it. I didn't realize it would be a multi=parter as all the previous episodes were standalones. Yet I shouldn't be surprised that the "History" channel would milk the UFO topic as much as possible. There will be a minimum of two more parts.

The first part was okay, as I never expect any profound revelation from such shows. But I have reached some tentative conclusions. I'm inclined to trust the testimony of the original witnesses, even if given decades later. (Several clips of old interviews are played.) I include Jesse Marcel Jr. in this category as he directly handled some of the debris. But, I'm sorry, I just can't take the testimony of the Roswell area grandchildren seriously. It may be unfair, but I feel they are just trying to get a little TV-fame shortly before they die. "Civic pride" might even be a factor, as the community has been all-in regarding UFOs and aliens for a long time now. These considerations don't strictly rule out the truth of their testimony, but I can't help from being dubious about it.

I also want to mention how young Don Schmitt appears to be. I always thought he belonged to Kevin Randles' and Stanton Friedman's generation. But he doesn't have a wiki page and I can't find out when he was born.

It's also possible I have him confused with someone else.

Roswell: Pointing the Finger at the Ones Who Knew the Truth – Part 1
By Nick Redfern

As a result of my recent article on my thoughts and observations on the History Channel’s 3-part show on Roswell, a few people contacted me about my words and opinions. I mentioned in the same article that Roswell is now at a stand-still. We’ve hit a brick wall. The Air Force of today can’t find any files. Does that mean we are destined to never get the truth? Well, it depends on our approach. Almost all of the firsthand witnesses are gone. Records? None of an intriguing nature exist, aside from the so-called “Ramey Memo.” Admittedly, that is worth addressing. For all of the research that has been done, though, the memo issue – like so many other angles of Roswell – has now stalled. There is one way that might work, though, and that’s to focus our attentions on various people outside of the direct confines of the Roswell event. That might sound odd, given that we’re trying to find answers to Roswell. But, bear with me. Here’s one example that might work: while doing work for my two Roswell books – Body Snatchers in the Desert and The Roswell UFO Conspiracy – one name popped up on a few occasions. We’re talking about an extremely controversial man named Hubertus Strughold. Here’s a bit of background on the man.

In January 1994, President Bill Clinton appointed an Advisory Committee on Human Radiation Experiments (ACHRE) that was tasked with investigating unethical medical experimentation undertaken on human beings from the mid-1940s onward. The ACHRE was quick to realize that the notorious operation “Paperclip” personnel played direct roles in post-war human experimentation in America. To be sure, Paperclip was a totally disturbing, Faustian pact of hitherto unseen proportions. That brings us to the aforementioned Strughold. Born in Germany in 1898, Strughold obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 1922, an M.D. in Sensory Physiology in 1923 and between 1929 and 1935 served as Director of the Aeromedical Research Institute, Berlin.

designate-427537_640-570x379.jpg

In 1947, as a result of Paperclip’s actions, Strughold joined the staff of the Air Force’s School of Aviation Medicine at Randolph Field, Texas; and in 1949 he was named head of the then-newly-formed Department of Space Medicine at the School – where, according to documentation uncovered by the ACHRE, he conducted research into “effects of high speed;” “lack of oxygen;” “decompression;” “effects of ultra-violet rays;” “space cabin simulator for testing humans;” “weightlessness;” and “visual disturbances.” Strughold was naturalized as an American citizen in 1956 and, four years later, became Chair of the Advanced Studies Group, Aerospace Medical Center at Brooks Air Force Base. Strughold – whose awards and honors included the USAF Exceptional Civilian Service Award and the Theodore C. Lyster Award of the Aerospace Medical Association – retired in 1968. And, as the Advisory Committee Staff stated:

“Perhaps the most prominent of the Paperclip physicians was Hubertus Strughold, called ‘the father of space medicine’ and for whom the Aeromedical Library at the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine was named in 1977. During the War, he was director of the Luftwaffe’s aeromedical institute; a Strughold staff member was acquitted at Nuremberg on the grounds that the physician’s Dachau laboratory was not the site of nefarious experiments. Strughold had a long career at the SAM, including the recruitment of other Paperclip scientists in Germany. His background was the subject of public controversy in the United States. He denied involvements with Nazi experiments and told reporters in this country that his life had been in danger from the Nazis. A citizen for 30 years before his death in 1986, his many honors included an American Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution.”

Roswell-Cover1-1-570x405.jpg

“An April 1947 intelligence report on Strughold states: ‘[H]is successful career under Hitler would seem to indicate that he must be in full accord with Nazism.’ However, Strughold’s colleagues in Germany and those with whom he had worked briefly in the United States on fellowships described him as politically indifferent or anti-Nazi. In his application to reside in this country, he declared: ‘Further, the United States is the only country of liberty which is able to maintain this liberty and the thousand-year-old culture and western civilization, and it is my intention to support the United States in this task, which is in danger now, with all my scientific abilities and experience.’

“In a 1952 civil service form, Strughold was asked if he had ever been a member of a fascist organization. His answer: ‘Not in my opinion.’ His references therein included the Surgeon General of the Air Force, the director of research at the Lovelace Foundation in New Mexico, and a colleague from the Mayo Clinic. In September 1948, Strughold was granted a security clearance from the Joint Intelligence Objectives Agency director, Captain Wev, who in the previous March had written to the Department of State protesting the difficulty of completing immigration procedures for Paperclip recruits.”

I can’t prove that after he came to the United States Strughold was quietly briefed (in 1948) on what happened at Roswell. Several of the old-timers I interviewed, however, were 100 percent sure that Strughold was briefed on it. Not because the Roswell affair involved aliens (it didn’t; the whole thing was a terrible series of unethical, monstrous experiments using people), but because it was hoped Strughold would be able to advance U.S. research in the field of high-altitude experimentation – something that had gone disastrously wrong at Roswell in 1947. So, my suggestion is that we expand our horizons: we’ve got just about all we can find concerning the Roswell controversy. But, something along the lines of an extensive investigation of just about every official document concerning Strughold might reveal. And, then let’s see where the threads and leads take us then. And so on. Maybe, there’s something sitting somewhere in a vault that contains a wealth of material on Strughold that has been overlooked, but that might reveal something important to us. I may, of course, just be grasping at straws. But, the fact that several people said Strughold knew all of what happened – having been secretly briefed – suggests it’s the people and their backgrounds we need to dig into to get answers. And, I’m not talking about U.S. personnel. I’m thinking of Paperclip and the people who were in it. Yes, a huge amount of material on Paperclip has been declassified. Maybe, though, there’s a lot still out of our hands. It’s these alternative avenues we need to go down if we’re going to stand a chance of getting some good, solid answers. They might be the only things left for us.

Roswell: Pointing the Finger at the Ones Who Knew the Truth – Part 2
By Nick Redfern

Part 1 of this two-part article was on a notorious character in a post-Second World War-era program called Paperclip. It was a Faustian pact of the worst kind: to secretly bring Nazi scientists to work in the United States. Indeed, immediately after the Second World War came to an end in 1945, certain elements of the military and intelligence community clandestinely sought to bring numerous scientists within the German medical and scientific communities into the United States to continue research – and at times highly controversial research – they had undertaken at the height of the war. It was research that included studies of human anatomy and physiology in relation to aerospace medicine, high-altitude exposure, and what was then termed “space biology.” The startling fact that some of these scientists were ardent Nazis, and even members of the notorious and feared SS, proved not a problem at all to the government of the time. Thus was born the notorious Paperclip, so named because the papers of the recruits were paper-clipped to regular American immigration forms.

In part 1, I revealed that if we are going to solve the Roswell mystery of 1947, then we need to think of new approaches – mainly because we’ve pretty much hit a brick wall. This brought me to a man named Hubertus Strughold – also a Nazi and also someone brought to the United States to work. Strughold was also someone who knew what happened at Roswell. My view is that instead of just focusing on Roswell the event to try and find answers, we should focus on the scientists who may have know what really happened at Roswell. And that would include at least some of the Paperclip scientists. So, having addressed Strughold in the first part of this article, today I’m going to focus on another German scientist brought to the United States and who knew of the “human experimentation” angle of Roswell.

Wernher von Braun was born in Wirsitz, Germany, on March 23, 1912 and earned his bachelor’s degree at the age of twenty from the University of Berlin, where he also received his doctorate in physics in 1934. Between 1932 and 1937, von Braun was employed by the German Ordnance Department and became technical director of the Peenemuende Rocket Center in 1937, where the V-2 rocket was developed. Von Braun came to the United States in September 1945 under contract with the Army Ordnance Corps as part of Paperclip and worked on high altitude firings of captured V-2 rockets at the White Sands Proving Ground, until he became project director of the Ordnance Research and Development Division Sub-Office at Fort Bliss, Texas. On October 28, 1949, the Secretary of the Army approved the transfer of the Fort Bliss group to Redstone Arsenal; and after his arrival in Huntsville in April 1950, von Braun was appointed Director of Development Operations.

Von-Braun-570x727.jpg

Wernher von Braun

Major development projects under von Braun’s technical direction included the Redstone rocket, the Jupiter Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile, and the Pershing missile. He and his team of German scientists and engineers were also responsible for developing the Jupiter C Reentry Test Missile and launching the Free World’s first scientific earth satellite, Explorer 1. On July 1, 1960, von Braun and his team were transferred to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and became the nucleus of the George C. Marshall Space Flight Center at Redstone Arsenal. He served as Director of the Marshall Center until February 1970 when he moved to NASA Headquarters to serve as Deputy Associate Administrator. On 1 July 1972, von Braun left NASA to become Vice President of Engineering and Development for Fairchild Industries in Germantown, Maryland and was inducted into the Ordnance Corps Hall of Fame in 1973. Von Braun retired in January 1977 due to ill health and died on June 16, 1977.

The fact that several old-timers quietly told me that von Braun knew of Roswell – the truth of a horrifying human experiment and zero to do with aliens – makes me think that going after von Braun’s files might find something. Now, I’m not talking about the huge numbers of known files of the man. I’m talking about potential unknown files, ones that are perhaps tucked away in old archives – and that just might lead us to something important on Roswell. Going deeper and deeper into the work (and the still-hidden files) of Nazi scum just might throw light on the biggest controversy Ufology has ever had: Roswell.

Concerning Operation Paperclip, I’ve read reports that Heinrich Mueller, the head of the Gestapo, didn’t die when World War II ended. He supposedly was initially brought to the US by the OSS/CIA. After he was used up by the Americans he was shuttled to South America to join the Nazi expatriates.

If our government would bring a monster like Mueller to the US, they would do most anything.

Roswell: Four Lesser Known Scenarios for What Might Have Happened
By Nick Redfern

Just about everyone with an interest in the world of UFOs will know of the primary theories for what happened at Roswell, New Mexico in July 1047: A UFO crash, a secret military experiment, a weather-balloon, and a Mogul balloon. There are, however, some lesser known scenarios for what happened. So, with that said, here are my top weird theories for the Roswell affair. Here’s number one: The late Jim Keith was the author of a number of conspiracy/UFO-themed books, including Casebook on the Men in Black; The Octopus (co-written with Kenn Thomas); and Black Helicopters Over America. In a small article titled Roswell UFO Bombshell, Keith described his clandestine meeting with “a longtime researcher / instructor of engineering at a school in New Mexico” who claimed to know the truth of Roswell. As for what Keith was told, it goes like this:

“According to my source, the true story behind the alleged UFO crash was that there was an accident involving a B-29 flying from the Army Air Force Base in Sandia (Albuquerque) to Roswell…my source states that either an atomic bomb or what is termed a ‘bomb shape,’ or ‘test shape,’ the shell of a nuke lacking explosives and atomic capability, and sometimes filled with concrete to add weight, was accidentally or purposefully jettisoned above Corona, New Mexico, directly on the flight path between Sandia and Roswell. Along with the bomb, metal foil used for radar jamming, termed ‘chaff,’ may have also been dropped.”

In 2010, Anomalist Books published the final title from the late Mac Tonnies: The Cryptoterrestrials. Highly thought-provoking and deeply controversial in equal measures, the book focused on the idea that UFOs are not the products of alien races, but of very ancient, terrestrial people that dwell deep underground and who masquerade as extraterrestrials to camouflage their true identity. Tonnies speculated that the Cryptoterrestrials are likely very impoverished, but utilize subterfuge, hologram-style technology, and staged-events to suggest otherwise to us. He even theorized they may have made use of large, balloon-style craft, too. And on this very matter – of the Cryptoterrestrials using balloons in covert missions – Tonnies said: “Maybe the Roswell device wasn’t high tech. It could indeed have been a balloon-borne surveillance device brought down in a storm, but it doesn’t logically follow that it was one of our own.”

Roswell-Report-1-570x760.jpg

Nick Redfern

The Collins Elite is a quasi-official group within the U.S. Government that believes the UFO mystery is one of demonic origins. Yes, fork-tails, horns, fiery pits, and maybe even spinning heads – that kind of thing. It must be stressed that the conclusions of the group were chiefly belief-driven, rather than prompted by hard evidence. One of the conclusions of the group was that Roswell was nothing less than a brilliant Trojan Horse. For the members of the Collins Elite, deceptive demons had, essentially, used a kind of “cosmic alchemy” to create both (A) the so-called “memory-metal” found by Mack Brazel on the Foster Ranch; and (B) the curious bodies – or body-parts – also located on the ranch. In other words, Roswell – perceived by the Collins Elite, at least – was an ingenious ruse, a staged-crash, designed to have us believe vulnerable ETs are in our midst, when it’s really the all-powerful minions of Satan.

Trojan-Horse-570x680.jpg

Timothy Cooper provoked a wealth of controversy in the 1990s, thanks to an enormous body of allegedly leaked, and, supposedly highly secret, documentation in his possession on everything from crashed UFOs to alien autopsies and from sinister deaths in the UFO field to alien viruses. One such document –titled UFO Reports and Classified Projects – offers a non-UFO-themed explanation for what occurred at Roswell. The relevant extract reads as follows: “One of the projects underway at that time incorporated re-entry vehicles containing radium and other radioactive materials combined with biological warfare agents developed by I.G. Farben for use against allied assault forces in Normandy in 1944. When a V-2 warhead impacted near the town of Corona, New Mexico, on July 4, 1947, the warhead did not explode and it and the deadly cargo lay exposed to the elements which forced the Armed Forces Special Weapons Project to close off the crash site and a cover story was immediately put out that what was discovered was the remains of a radar tracking target suspended by balloons.”
