This is not Haiti, this is Texas: Unbelievable pictures capture third world conditions in migrant camp under Del Rio bridge

Families with young children are forced to sleep on the dirty ground surrounded by mountains of garbage in the makeshift camp under the bridge in Texas. Many have resorted to fashioning makeshift tents using discarded clothing and tree branches. The punishing heat has soared to the high 90s while the cramped conditions have also fueled fears of a COVID-19 outbreak - especially given that the migrants crossing the border are not required to be vaccinated. The squalor is more reminiscent of a Third World country than the land of the American dream where thousand flocked to in recent days to seek asylum.

Trump is now MORE popular than Biden: Poll shows Americans regret voting for him after the president's disastrous exit from Afghanistan, border chaos and deadlock in Congress

Former President Donald Trump has overtaken President Joe Biden in approval ratings for the first time since his loss at the 2020 presidential elections, according to a new Harvard/Harris poll.

While Biden enjoyed his highest approval rating of 57 per cent in May, support for the president dropped dramatically to 46 percent as of September following the nation's chaotic exit from Afghanistan, crisis at the southern border with Mexico, and deadlock in Congress over his infrastructure bills.

Meanwhile, Trump's approval ratings remained at about 46 per cent since 2020 and surpassed Biden after rising to 48 per cent in September.

'The mounting issues on all fronts have led to the surprise conclusion that Trump is now seen as being as good a president as Biden, suggesting the honeymoon is being replaced with buyer's remorse,' Mark Penn, co-director of the Harvard/Harris survey told The Times.

Only about a third of independent voters approve of President Joe Biden's job in August, a new low as he trails his own vice president among the same group and across all voters nationwide, according to a Gallup poll released Wednesday.

Thousands of Haitian migrants who flocked to Del Rio were already working and living comfortably as refugees in CHILE and only set off for the US after Biden scrapped Trump-era deportation policy

The 15,000 Haitians who turned up in Del Rio did not come from Haiti - they mostly came from Chile, the wealthiest country in Latin America where they were granted asylum and have been living in modest comfort in Santiago and São Paulo for the past five or six years. They traveled up from South America through Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala before landing in a camp across the Mexican border in Tapachula. 'When Biden got in, word went out and they decided, we're coming now. That was the decision point,' says migration expert Todd Bensman. They flocked to the entry point at Del Rio International Bridge in Texas after hearing they could cross the border there for free. Todd Bensman, of the Center for Immigration Studies, said the lack of smuggling fees has made Del Rio crossing the cheapest on the border.

'Those people will pay': Biden warns Border Protection agents will face 'consequences' for debunked claim they 'strapped' migrants, despite photographer saying he saw no such thing - as Kamala compares it to SLAVERY

President Joe Biden on Friday vowed the border agents who ran down migrants will 'pay' and face the consequences of their actions. The president called the photos of agents on horseback chasing down migrants 'horrible to see.' 'It was horrible what to see, as you saw, to see people treat like they did - horses running them over, people being strapped. It's outrageous. I promise you those people will pay. There will be investigation underway now and there will be consequences. There will be consequences. It's an embarrassment. But beyond an embarrassment is dangerous, it's wrong, it sends the wrong message around the world, and sends the wrong message at home. It's simply not who we are,' he said.

So, does Biden just get ideas in his head and just run with them, ignoring any contrary advice, or is someone feeding him these notions?

So, does Biden just get ideas in his head and just run with them, ignoring any contrary advice, or is someone feeding him these notions?

I have to assume that Biden is making the final decisions and calling the shots on all the serious issues happening like this southern border, the vice president was put in charge of dealing with this and has done nothing constructive, it's only getting worse...If Biden isn't making the decisions and he is not calling the shots then what does that say about our president elect?...If that's the case who are the unelected people or unelected individual making the decisions instead of the man who was elected to make these sort of decisions?...Biden did comment twice something about being told not to take questions from the press, if that's true then who is telling him this?...Again if that's the case, then is that also an indication that maybe Biden isn't calling the shots?...Why did the majority party in Congress change the rules so the Executive Branch (Biden and his administration) cannot be investigated?...They are using covid as part of a reason to rescind rules allowing investigations that they used plenty of times in the past to investigate Trump, it keeps getting extended every few months, like kicking a can down the street...Both parties are so decrepit and corrupt, Trump's administration revealed to us all the worst shyte the right has to offer during his term and now the Biden administration is successfully showing us the worst shyte from the left and we haven't even got a year under our belts yet with Biden...

While I'm ranting lol, this cancel culture woke shyte should have never been allowed to gain the momentum that it has achieved, it's loosening the screws of many social and economic foundations at a time when other storms are moving in so to speak...Its astonishing that any level-headed person with a sound mind would think all of this is okay or turns a blind eye...The various corporations and college universities, for instance, changing their policies to accommodate such degenerative movements and/or ideologies is disgusting...

I think all of the turbulence we are seeing and experiencing or reading about in the world and in our country is just the beginning, we haven't seen any peaks yet except maybe with the covid pandemic (hopefully)...

DHS boss Mayorkas admits 30,000 Haitians entered US as Del Rio camp is finally cleared: 17,400 are applying to stay, 8,000 have been deported or left voluntarily - but 2,600 are missing . . . and thousands more are on their way

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas revealed on Friday that nearly 30,000 Haitian migrants have been encountered on the US-Mexico border as they try to enter the country. Additionally he noted that the camp under the International Bridge in Del Rio, Texas, which serves the length of the border, has been emptied. 'Nearly 30,000 migrants have been encountered at Del Rio since September 9 with the highest number one time reaching approximately 15,000,' he said at the daily White House press briefing. Meanwhile the BBC reported nearly 19,000 mostly Haitian migrants are heading towards the US. They are in Colombia waiting to cross the border to Panama, Colombian officials say. But, Mayorkas noted, 'today, we have no migrants remaining in the camp.'

Biden is booed at Congressional ballgame with his domestic agenda on the brink: Manchin decries 'fiscal insanity' as he and Sinema hold out on $3.5T budget vote while The Squad works to scuttle his $1.2T infrastructure bill

President Joe Biden made a surprise appearance at Wednesday night's Congressional Baseball Game, glad-handing lawmakers as members of his own party are threatening to strike out his domestic agenda. Moderate Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema are still endangering his $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill, while progressives could tank a House vote on the bipartisan infrastructure package Thursday. That's on top of Congress needing to pass a stop-gap funding bill by midnight Thursday - or else the federal government would shut down. And lawmakers must lift the debt ceiling - to avoid the U.S. government going into default. House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn told reporters that he'd 'find out at the baseball game' whether the House's planned infrastructure vote would be delayed. Biden huddled with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the Democratic dugout, before walking across the field to greet Republican lawmakers.

Central American nation warns 85,000 more Haitians crossing country on dangerous journey to the US

Nearly 30,000 Haitian migrants have already made their way over the U.S.-Mexico border in recent weeks, but Panama's foreign minister says far more are on their way – and she has been sounding the alarm for months.

In a new interview with Axios, Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes said that since the beginning of 2021 more than 85,000 Haitians have crossed through Panama and that she believes "they all are heading toward the U.S."

"We've engaged with every single authority that we can think of, that we can come across, to say, 'Please, let's pay attention to this,'" Mouynes told the outlet.

The Haitians have been coming from Colombia, traveling through the dangerous Darién Gap jungles into Panama before making their way northward through Central American and Mexico to to the U.S. Mouynes said senior officials from South American countries, Mexico, Canada and the U.S. met in August to address the issue, and she thought it was "shocking" that this had not happened sooner.

Welcome, Comrade! Biden's Soviet-born nominee for Comptroller of the Currency thinks Fed should 'end banking', admires USSR's economy because there was 'no gender pay gap' and says hedge funds are an 'a**hole industry'

Cornell University Law Professor Saule Omarova's nomination to lead an agency overseeing big banks has been opposed by GOP lawmakers and banking lobbyists. Despite her previous White House experience being under a Republican president, Omarova has written papers advocating for more government oversight and control over the nation's finance industry. One of her proposals has made it into the text of a progressive Democrat-backed bill aimed at expanding climate-friendly and affordable housing. Some speculate Biden's nomination of Omarova is a move made to placate progressives in Congress, who were rankled by reports that claimed the president is thinking of reappointing Jerome Powell to head the Federal Reserve.

TikTok star Gabriel Salazar, 19, was 'smuggling illegal immigrants from Mexico' in his Chevrolet Camaro muscle car when cops tried to pull him over: All four men died in fiery crash when he lost control of vehicle

TikToker Gabriel Salazar - aka GabeNotBabe on social media - posted this picture on social media with his 2014 white Chevrolet Camaro (left) - which reaches top speeds of 184mph - just days before he died in a car crash on Sunday in Zavala County, Texas (right) along with three other men, who were reportedly undocumented Mexican immigrants. Police said they tried to pull Salazar over but he refused. It's unclear why he was being pulled over. The chase ended when Salazar crashed into multiple trees, and the car rolled over and burst into flames. Gas spewed from the punctured fuel tank, which made it difficult for first responders to put out the fire. Salazar and three other men - later identified as Luiz Jimenez Mora, 41, Jose Molina-Lara, 23, and Sergio Espinoza-Flores, 36, all died at the scene. A GoFundMe page set up by another one of Salazar's friends, Chris Vasquez, as a memorial fund.

Black woman is charged with posing as Klu Klux Klan member and posting notes to seven African-American neighbors threatening to burn down their homes and kill their children

A black woman has been charged with posing as a member of the Ku Klux Klan and posting notes through neighbors' doors threatening to kill their children. Terresha Lucas, 30, has been charged with eight counts of making terroristic threats, according to the Douglasville, Georgia Police Department.

Investigators allege that Lucas wrote letters describing herself as a ‘six-feet-tall white male with a long, red beard who did not live in the neighborhood.’

In March, residents of the Brookmont subdivision of Manning Drive in Douglasville, some 23 miles west of Atlanta, began receiving threatening, racist letters in the mail. 'I received one two days ago and I was alarmed at what I read,' one resident told CBS46 News.

'The letter is using the N-word, talking about the KKK, hanging people, killing kids, killing whole families, and setting houses on fire.'

At least seven families reported receiving the threatening letters. The first letters were sent to two homes back in December of last year, according to investigators.

Douglas Police Detective Nathan Shumaker said that the letters were left in the mailboxes at night and found the next day.
