Federal court of appeals issues temporary halt to Biden vaccine mandate

A federal court issued Texas a temporary victory in its lawsuit against the Biden administration’s coronavirus vaccine mandate issuing a stay on the controversial federal government regulation in Texas.

"Yesterday, I sued the Biden Admin over its unlawful OSHA vax mandate," Texas’ Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton tweeted Saturday. "WE WON. Just this morning, citing "grave statutory and constitutional issues," the 5th Circuit stayed the mandate. The fight is not over and I will never stop resisting this Admin’s unconstitutional overreach!"

Earlier in the week, Paxton sued the Biden administration over the mandate and argued that the move to force workers at companies with over 100 employees to be vaccinated or undergo weekly testing is "flatly unconstitutional."

"Biden’s new vaccine mandate on private businesses is a breathtaking abuse of power," Paxton tweeted Friday. "OSHA has only limited power & specific responsibilities. This latest move goes way outside those bounds. This ‘standard’ is flatly unconstitutional. I’m asking the Court to strike it down."

OSHA is giving employers with more than 100 employees a Jan. 4 deadline to comply with President Biden's COVID-19 vaccine mandate and threatening thousands of dollars in fines for defiant businesses, according to a fact sheet released by the White House Thursday.

The White House has stood by the mandate despite pushback from several Republican led states and argued that the move is a workplace standard rather than a mandate. White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded to a question at a Friday press briefing about whether or not she is confident the mandate will stand up to legal challenges.

Report: Camilla Blown Away After Hearing Joe Biden ‘Loudly’ Fart

The Duchess of Cornwall has reportedly been telling close associates President Joe Biden made his own contribution to global supplies of natural gas when he farted “loudly” in front of her at the Glasgow COP26 climate conference.

Camilla was apparently blown away by the smelly incident and “hasn’t stopped talking about it” since: “It was long and loud and impossible to ignore,” an insider told the Mail on Sunday.

Ironically he has earlier pledged that one of the most important things society faces in the near term is to “reduce our methane emissions as quickly as possible.”

At the diplomatic reception, which was originally supposed to have been hosted by the Queen until she was ordered to rest by doctors, Biden was seen sharing a joke with Prince William, at one stage placing a hand on his shoulder.

The 78-year-old leader was also snapped falling asleep before his untimely release in front of the wife of Prince Charles.

His eyes closed for 30 seconds, and he was woken up by a man in a suit at the conference on Monday afternoon sparking the U.S. leader to quickly uncross his arms and began to clap for the opening speaker, as Breitbart News reported.

This was not the first time the president has been accused of being less than economical with wind.

In May 2020 he was accused of audibly farting during a campaign livestream.

On that occasion Biden was appearing with Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf and as the candidate was speaking, he shifted in his chair, and a strange noise was heard.

The White House declined to comment last night, the Mail reports.

Biden admin considering shutting down another pipeline, drawing criticism and dire warnings as winter nears

The Biden administration is reportedly weighing the potential market consequences of shutting down an oil pipeline in Michigan, drawing criticism from opponents. Former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, Biden's energy secretary, predicted Sunday that heating prices will rise this winter regardless of the Biden administration's decision on the pipeline. "Yeah, this is going to happen. It will be more expensive this year than last year," Granholm told CNN.

The administration has yet to decide on what to do with Line 5 and officials were gathering information only to present a clear picture of the situation, according to sources who spoke to Politico.

Line 5 is part of a network that moves crude oil and other petroleum products from western Canada, transporting about 540,000 barrels per day. Petroleum is taken from the pipeline in Escanaba, Michigan.

Looks like a legit poll (not pro-Republican Rasmussen).
Nearly half of voters say Biden worse president than expected, most don't want to see him run again: poll
The survey, which was taken after the Tuesday elections but before House Democrats passed the popular infrastructure bill Friday, shows Biden with nearly rock-bottom approval ratings, Harris with numbers that are even worse and Democrats trailing by a wide margin on the generic congressional ballot.

Among the topline numbers, according to USA Today/Suffolk University, are a 37.8% approval rating for Biden with a 59% disapproval – more than 21 points underwater. Forty-six percent of those included in the survey said Biden has done a worse job than expected, and 64% said they don't want Biden to run for reelection.

Sandy Hook started in NJ because a woman allowed her mentally ill son access to weapons that under no circumstances should he be anywhere near. He killed her and drove to CT to prove it. Makes me physically ill to go back and think about that.

I have no use for ARs and all the crap that goes with it. But after decades of war, movies and games things like that have saturated a generation or two of young people.

The NY Safe Act was a political knee jerk by ‘three men in a room’. I’d point out two were removed from office for corruption and jailed. Mostly, Sheldon Silver is slippery. And we know what happened to Cuomo. But the laws remain and the only observable effect has been on various manufacturers like Remington. I think Kimber up and left a while ago. None of those jobs list will be replaced easily if at all.

I comply with all regulations and have no problem with intelligent ones. But they are rare. Criminals are unaffected. As for the recently unemployed it’s a case of ‘your spoons made you fat’

PIERS MORGAN: Biden doesn't stand a chance in 2024 and neither does the epically unpopular and useless Kamala so unless Joe finds a new VP to succeed him soon the Dems can kiss goodbye to the White House

I regret to say that President Joe Biden and his Vice-President, Kamala Harris are fast becoming the political equivalent of 'Dumb and Dumber's' Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne. Barely a day goes by when one of them isn't doing something worthy of abject mockery - from Biden falling asleep at the COP26 climate change summit, to Harris appearing in a World Space Day video with hired child actors who she pretended were wide-eyed real kids enthralled by her exultation of space exploration. And it's not just me that thinks this. A truly shocking new USA Today-Suffolk University poll reveals crushingly bad approval ratings for Biden with just 38% of Americans approving of his presidency and 59% disapproving. But the President is basking in approval sunshine compared to his deputy. Staggeringly, less than 3 in 10 Americans (27.8%) approve of the job Kamala Harris is doing, with 51.2% disapproving. This makes her the least popular vice-president at this stage of an administration for half a century.

I ought to go find a Lone Gunman t-shirt. Been wondering if Kamala will take a powder and they'll replace her with whoever they think their 2024 heavyweight is. If that happens please somebody remember this comment :)

If it happened she and Megan Markle can go on a morning show tour together and giggle and talk about being anointed to a position you have no good reason to be involved in.

NYC Mayor-elect Eric Adams brushes off BLM threat to 'riot' and cause 'bloodshed' if he deploys plainclothes anti-crime unit: Doubles down on vow to send NYPD cops to crime-ridden areas and says 'this is my promise and I'm going to do it'

The comments came from New York BLM co-founder Hawk Newsome after debating Adams during a contentious closed-door sit-down event with the incoming Democrat leader. While Adams was able to make headway with the activists on his plans to fight poverty in the black community when he takes office, the former NYPD captain vowed to bring back the controversial anti-crime units composed of about 600 plainclothes officers that target violent crimes - something BLM was angry about. The mayor-elect doubled down on his promise Thursday, saying: 'This is what I'm going to do. That was my promise and I'm going to keep it.' Adams and Newsome also clashed about accountability on Wednesday, with the mayor-elect hitting back at the activist and saying Newsome, too, needs to be held accountable - not just sit back and make demands. The closed-door sit-down was held in Brooklyn and live-streamed on Instagram. Newsome said outside Brooklyn Borough Hall on Wednesday. 'There will be riots. There will be fire, and there will be bloodshed.' Bottom-inset: BLM protests in New York in September 2021.

Good news!...

Federal judges slam Biden's 'sledgehammer' vaccine mandate as they uphold decision to put it on hold with one blaming 'mere specter' of it for 'untold economic upheaval in recent months'

A federal court has upheld its previous decision to put a hold on President Joe Biden's COVID vaccine mandate for companies with 100 workers or more. A three-member panel of the 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans, which covers Texas, Louisiana and parts of Mississippi, affirmed it's ruling in a new opinion published Friday. That saw it order the US Department of Labor to take no further steps to implement its mandate, whose deadline is January 4. The Biden administration argued that halting implementation of the vaccine mandate could lead to dozens or even hundreds of deaths. However, Circuit Court Judge Kurt Engelhardt wrote in the prevailing opinion that the mandate goes too far, and that he has 'grave' concerns about whether the edict is legal or constitutional. 'The mandate is staggeringly overbroad,' the opinion said. 'The mandate is a one-size-fits-all sledgehammer that makes hardly any attempt to account for differences in workplaces (and workers).' The rule was issued by OSHA and mandates that businesses with at least 100 employees require staff to get vaccinated or face weekly tests and face mask requirements. White House officials had no immediate comment on the ruling, which was hailed as a victory by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. 'Citing Texas´s 'compelling argument' the 5th Circuit has stayed OSHA´s unconstitutional and illegal private-business vaccine mandate', Paxton said on Twitter. Fellow Texan and Congressman Chip Roy praised the ruling as helping to stop vaccine mandates. He tweeted: '5th Circuit reaffirms stay - because @JoeBiden is acting unlawfully and unconstitutionally in issuing order for employer vaccine mandate. #HealthcareFreedom #StopVaxMandates.'

Sounding like an old-school, "sane" Democrat.

Remember when the Dems weren't mostly whacked out extremists? Maybe the older Bush days? As of Clinton, maybe half and half?
