The first one looks like a crater with a pipe coming up out of the side and an angle. The second one is the current airfield.

I do find the varying kinds of craters to be interesting in all the test area.

This link should put you directly over the image at 1,393 meters in elevation. You should see a cement pad with a hole in the middle, and just left of that some of the black lines. Copy and paste to a new window. Then wait for it completely load. Report back...Lol~
Oh yea,, and scroll out or upwards as this is as close to the ground as I could get.

Those are craters or part of the old bombing range. The site is directly to the left of the largest crater. left on the map should be to the West towards California.
Location by degrees and minutes.
37 degrees, 10 minutes, 47 seconds North
116 degrees, 05 minutes, 23 seconds West

You're starting with too high a number. Start with 37 North and then 116 West. Once there then add numbers slowly.

I think that airfield is a new one......it appears that there was an old one to the northwest.

I'd say it is likely for the current Nevada Test Site operations and facilities.
The drones would land at Groom Lake if they are classified. The current operations at that facility indicate it is testing smaller aircraft at the moment.

It is a depression.....and the wires to the west are running down hill into it. The eastern side of the crater in question slopes gradually down hill towards the center of the valley.

So you think it might be a depression then but how then, if that is the case, not saying it isn't, can we explain the rivulets of what looks like oil draining out and going up hill.

There is an erosional feature running into the crater for the last 10 or 12 years.
