Another one of my solid cases down the tubes....yawn

Creepy Green Light

Don't mistake lack of talent for genius
Remember the Allagash incident (in Maine) where 3 men (including one set of twins) were abducted at their campsite at the lake? Seemed like the real deal and they passed muster on all regular checks and balances. That is until one of the brothers decides to tell the public that the entire thing was a lie.

So added to my list of cases I once believed;

Billy Meier (yeah I know, I was a teenager so cut me some slack)
Rex Heflin
Trindade
Paul Trent/McMinnville
Exeter, NH
Betty & Barney Hill
Travis Walton
Rendlesham
Coyne Helicopter UFO case
Roswell
Falcon Lake
Belgian Triangle
Tim Edwards Salida, CO UFO video
and now Allagash
...plus some others I'm sure I'm forgetting

Then there are the more ludicrous cases that I never believed in the first place like;

Ed Walters and his see through, goofy looking flying saucer (he got bonus points for including a diagram of the goofy looking robot/alien complete with magic wand that knocked on his door)
Guardian case
Cisco Grove case
Flatwoods Monster
Pascagoula case
There's a lot more that I don't remember the names of. All I have to do is watch one of those ridiculous FOX "Worlds Best UFO Videos" and most of them will show up on there.

I'm also tired of the phrase "...a fleet of UFO's". There never has been a picture/video of a "fleet" of structured objects. They are always usually balloons or birds.

I must admit the subject was way more fun and appealing when I was around 9-18. Then little by little all my cases that I thought were solid dismantled themselves. Oh well.

one of the brothers decides to tell the public that the entire thing was a lie.

Maybe he lied about lying, maybe he was paid to discredit the experience...

...

It's a pretty complicated story, with the one making the "admission" dealing with the whole thing by way of some fundamentalist religion (or some such questionable thing). In my opinion, it has always been a solid case, and one of the brothers had more trouble handling it than the others. I haven't seen anything about this in a while, but the others had some enlightening comments.

well said.....I'd add Kenneth Arnold and the Maury Island incident to the former list.

As for whether or not they are lying I'd have to see them in a video.....preferably at the time. Its easy to tell about the people on the Rendelsham incident are lying.....as was "Dr" Jonathon reed.

Beer therapy has helped me come to terms with all this. But I think I'd like to keep Betty & Barney Hill, Rendlesham and the Pascagoula case in my WTF file. These are the three that I'd really like to Forrest Gump myself into and see what the actual source of all the hububbery is about. Not that I think it was necessarily ET, just that I find them interesting.

With Betty & Barney Hill I tend to believe what Dr.Simon had to say as a first person contemporary participant. Something happened - don't think it was aliens. The story has grown legs and is still being humped relentlessly. Maybe it's that TV movie that scared the hell out of me as a kid. Regardless, I'd love to know what the rest of the story is. Hard to listen to some of the recordings of Barney and not be affected. I think those ulcers came from Betty.

Rendlesham. It's Halt's cassette tape I find interesting. Not too many cases with something like that available. Unfortunately that story has grown more legs than a centipede over the years and I've even hear Halt say some weird stuff in later years. Always wondered what I would have seen if I were there.

Pascagoula - I could be wrong but I don't think either of those two shopped it around the way others have. Also can't say I've delved into it that deeply, but a recent video of Calvin Parker intrigued me. Having dealt directly with the unwashed masses of humanity for years on a daily basis my spidey-sense it tickling me. Story doesn't seem to have changed much and at a minimum he seems to believe what he's saying. It sounds ludicrous and not quite the same as other accounts obviously drawn from popular entertainment that I am saying 'one of these things is not like the other.'

There was an Unsolved Mysteries or some such piece on it years ago. I found the witnesses believable. But when you decide you can tell if someone is lying in a video, phone conversation, or even in person, you have crossed the line into Linda Moulton Howe territory, which is a part of the world I avoid.

Once I heard that Betty Hill believed her cat had "the power of flight" - that kinda ruined the case for me. That and along with aliens wearing ball caps. And the little "winglets" the flying saucer had. I think the entire case is bogus.

Rendlesham was definitely the lighthouse. The timing of light house was a perfect match to when Halt said he kept seeing the light. Then the rest of it was a comedy of errors. Then the one guy had to go overboard and say he received a binary message that they are time travelers from the future, blah blah. Yeah, whatever dude.

The one thing that intrigues me about Pascagoula is the secret recording the police made of them when they were alone. They didn't know they were being recorded and to listen to the tape alone - you would think it was legit and that something really did happen. But it's another odd case like Cisco Grove.

Hey - CRL - glad you're back!!Always liked that name. Had no idea that Betty's cat could fly and if it was in Interrupted Journey I missed it. More interested in Barney. Maybe he died young because he wanted to. Having a hard time embedding this at the correct time so FF to 4:20

Lighthouse? Yes I know. Could very well be. Point was I'd like to be there for all of these and see for myself. No, I don't really see ET I just want to know where this stuff started.

Yes me too. That's the hook.

Not sure who she is......but I was going by layered voice analysis that nailed reed and halt as lying. But I knew ahead of time.

I don't find the "witnesses" at rendlesham the slightest bit believable....especially with burroughs and pennistens stories getting more and more embellished with each telling. They are becoming tall tale legends now.....lol.

the second and third problems can be excused, but the first, yep betty had mental problems, so if they had a real encounter there is sadly nothing we really can do

while there are some interesting details buried in this story, like the giant red "eye" that shoot sparks, just like roswell the bullshit is louder than the anomalies, and that binary code thing, just no, when they decoded it the found a bunch of crackpot shit

Thank you and I totally agree with you. I went to "like" one of your comments today on the Paracast & I couldn't because I am on "restriction" - like I'm a 3rd grader or something lol. Glad I jumped ship to here.

This would be a lengthy message to try and explain all the cases. But I will mention that the Coyne case was solved by a fellow (I forget his name but can supply the link). It totally makes sense. When I have more time I can go through each case one by one :)

That would not surprise me.
Could also be a family disgruntlement and this was some form of offense.

To many fence sitters this is an easy reason to disregard a case.
I simply find it very suspect......

Great that you are here and absolutely ridiculous that you are restricted on the Paracast. How dare you have a different opinion to Gene!!
