In your opinion, what constitutes a good paranormal podcast/broadcast?

What's the first 3 words of the title of this thread?..."In your opinion"...

So these are all opinions, even yours, let the opinions be posted without being so rude, you think you are right and everyone is wrong but that is also an opinion...

...
Well, My opinion is, Your guy's opinions are going to mislead the person to make crappy content. That's not the lesson I want this person to take away from this.

Thank you all very much for your input. I promise I will take all of this into consideration when I get things going.

Also, yeah, I've been fairly vocal in that certain 100+ page thread... I'm well aware of the probabilities vs. the possibilities. Project Archivist has been going for how long? And they're still kind of a niche show that isn't making much on their Patreon.

I know it's getting hairy, But at least hear me on this, Content creation is called Art Because there is an Art to it. Don't just dump a bunch of sound files and call it done. Work on making it as amazing as possible. :)

I want to join the chorus saying no music while people are talking. Other times, fine.
Exactly, That's all I'm saying, what people aren't getting is you have to aim at a general audience. if it's just two voices talking the whole way through Most people by far will get bored and leave within eight minutes.

I know I am really pushing sound, But You can take the most boring conversation in the world and put a low volume upbeat energy track behind it and it will perform analytically better. I mean I know this is everyone's opinions and things. But I'm working on Analytical performance facts. At least it's seemingly what's working analytically anyway.

Its too disruptive and distracting to have music playing when people are talking that one is trying to listen to...I would rather have no noise and one person talking, music has its place but not when there is a discussion going on or when a transcript is being read...

the API files is a good example of how it is done!

one point I have about C2C. Snorry clearly has a political agenda.
He frequently has on Jarome Corsi
his books have savaged democratic candidates.
"unfit for command " helped sink John Kerry. swift boats anyone?
"where is the birth certificate?"
this book beat the "Birther " drum loudly. the release of the long form birth certificate from the white house sent the book into an foot note.

It's been so long since I've paid attention to c2c, I didn't know they had political alignments. I'll have to watch out for that.

Yet you were using them as an example to shore up your argument?...

...
Because they have been around for decades, Who hasn't heard a lot of C2c? especally back when Grey aliens where the popular thing, I wouldn't miss it, Come on,, Is it ride SP day? Cause it's five dollars and I buck.

for a "paranormal " Show Snorry spends a lot of time on quack medicine. his critical health updates and his avocation of carnavora is telling that snoory is in it for the money!

I mean, when it comes to alternative medications, down here we have Amish people, Some of them are what they call Amish doctors, They sell all this stuff, Some people claim it works. I've never tried it but I'm interested.

They claim to have a type of medicine that you put under your tongue it will make you sick for days but it will clear artery blockages. It may be all fake, But I'm interested.

I promise, friend, I am definitely going to have bumpers at least. Got to have something to indicate we're going from the intro to the main topic, etc. I'll do some research on having very faint music behind my intro and outro, too.

I'm avoiding politics if at all possible. That's a whole other nest of rattlers that I don't need drawn into.

I only intend on having one commercial break per episode, and that will be between the intro and the main topic. Most likely for Audible and/or maybe a crate thing -- CryptidCrate or Ghost Hunt or something. So don't worry about my pushing that kind of thing. Also, while I do believe in some alternative therapies as an enhancement to science based therapies, I don't think I want to go into having somebody who pushes just alternative therapies on the show.

Yeah, no, that's been done to death. Though I might see if I can get Stuart from Exposing Pseudoastronomy on sometime. Think "MonsterTalk" for space stuff, like the face on Mars, etc.

I would love to hear a discussion between Hoagland (Hoaxland as some call him) and a decent skeptic who knows what they are talking about, because Hoagland has only ever been on shows like C2C that would give him an easy ride and accept all the bullshit he vomits out about what he sees on the moon and mars.

Stuart rips up Hoagland a lot. Check out the show, you'll see.

One of my favorites is episode 99, The Saga of the Lunar Ziggurat. It's a live talk, so the audio isn't perfect, but it's definitely listenable.
