How does one know if they have been scammed on Amazon?

I ordered this Watch on January 31st from a seller named FTQ-E-commerce, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0793M3K6X

The updates on the tracking have been slow, So slow I emailed them, And they emailed me back Saying here is a FedEx tracking number.

The problem is, There have been only two updates since the purchase, One update saying it has shipped and another saying it has arrived at the carrier, And neither of those updates came from FedEx, In fact, if you go to the FedEx site the tracking number doesn't exist in their system.

I've looked at the seller comments, All three of them and everyone complains that shipping is a five-plus week process. Every day, I get a little more pissed about this watch, some people may think well five to six weeks isn't that long of a waiting period,

Yes, yes it is, It's ridiculously long. I'm beginning to become upset over this Amazon issue. What takes five weeks to order no matter where it comes from on planet earth? What the hell have they got to do? find someone who has this watch and Mug it from them? Are they walking it here from Mars? I already had buyers regret from purchasing the watch in the beginning, But this shit is ridiculous, By the time I get it, I'll be dead of old age.

Grumble.....

Once it a while I have ordered things that have come directly from China which have taken slightly less than forever to get here. At least it's Amazon and not some noname store

I think it is from China, I used to import old video games from Japan when I was younger, But I've never ordered from China that I know of, I wasn't expecting it to take this long, My assumption is the long wait has something to do with customs or something.

Either way, After a lot of reading on the subject I've learned that apparently My phone carrier is CDMA and The Watch is WCDMA, You would think those would be compatible, however, No, WCDMA is a completely different technology that Get this, Every phone provider under the sun, Except for my phone provider supports, Because My phone provider is Verison Who does Micky mouse CDMA technology.. So, This watch I ordered will have to be Bluetooth tethered from my phone, Completely eliminating the very reason I bought it, So I wouldn't have to lug my phone around.

I question how sane it to take a hammer to the watch as soon as it arrives. I would pretend I'm not pissed off about it, But when something like this happens, CDMA v/s WCDMA That's literally making a Chinese knockoff technology just to confuse people, I try to pretend I'm not upset about this whole ordeal, But there is an 86% chance I literally will take a hammer to that watch when it comes in..

It will probably come eventually. If not, Amazon itself should refund you.
I always try to buy from sellers with a score in the high 90s numbering in at least the hundreds of customers.

That's what I wanted to do, The problem with this model of watch is, It's an allcall W1, I first found out about them through Youtube, Then I tracked it back to the original seller a place called Kingwear, Kingwear sold this model of watch to a company called Gearbest, Who Upgraded the watch from 512 Megs ram to 2 gigs ram and 16 gigs rom, I was going to order directly from Gearbest, But it turns out that GB was some sort of Chinese distributor who nearly always got held up in customs, So, I decided to do a search on Amazon and found this version of apparently the same watch, from a distributor called Docooler, Which really, They seemed to be less reliable than Gearbest, But they were basically an in house Amazon reseller so I took my chances on it.

Honestly, I've read up on almost every possible scenario about this watch, I think it will be exactly what I need, Except for the AMOLED Screen, Apparently, Amoled is a relatively new Screen technology used primarily in Samsung electronics, It's a Type of Led Screen that isn't backlit in a conventional way, each pixel has its own backlighting making the Dark colors really pop. But at the cost of screen bleeding. So really, no matter how one evaluates this watch, every Single possible aspect of it is some sort of cheap Chinese knockoff. On the bright side of things, At least it's not typical, I can at least lay claim that not everyone has this model of watch I suppose lol.

Here is a video about the watch,

I needed it because I needed something I could hold a few gigs of PC repair tools on, Believe me, It will eventually come in handy, I assume anyway :/ Plus If I can get it to play final fantasy tactics, All the better.

Also, It wouldn't be a lie If I said, I wanted a watch that would allow me to get notifications for the Forums, My old watch was very picky and didn't have a lot of notification options, This one will let me check the forums.

Yup. I was a flashlight junkie for a while. Got one the Coast Guard would be jealous of.

Speaking of flashlights, I've been wanting a Surefire flashlight, a bit pricy but damn they make them nice...

Oh and speaking of flashlights (again) I've been wanting to try one of these, I'm curious if they work "as seen on tv", no batteries required, just water...

It could be coming from Mars. I heard FedEx has two spacecraft they use to ship cargo. They could have been attacked and boarded by another race who also ordered that watch. You should update your will and request it be buried with you. We'll put together a nice memorial thread for you.

At Peace.
No offense, but that is a ridiculous looking watch. It must have some powerful nerd qualities to make you want it.

Oh absolutely, It can pretty much do anything a quad-core 1 GHz CPU can do, and The look of it is part of the charm, It's a safe watch, It's not something most people would look at twice and think of stealing it.

That's an ongoing problem I've had repeated my entire life with tiny and microelectronics, I invite a few friends over and suddenly I can't find my earbuds or little knick-knacks, You can bet, If I pay out the ass for something like a watch, It's going to look like a piece of garbage, It's the only deterrent I've found that works most of the time. ;)

Oh ho ! Well, if you want to run with the big dogs you have to up your game! Always felt Surefires were overpriced.
This makes me nostalgic for the days of bucketfuls of disposable income.....

If you want to throw a lot of light you need a power source to do it with. 18650 batteries are it. I have been using Orbtronic 18650 Li-Ion 3.7v batteries and a Nitecore Professional series charger.

You either get a spot or a throw. I have a spot Olight Javelot M3XS-UT that will produce a beam of light like a friggin' lightsaber out to ridiculous distances. I forget the spec but it might be a half mile or more. I can stand on my deck and literally interrogate the woods out back at a minimum of 100 yards away with an intensely focused ridiculously bright cone of light that literally blinds any number of woodland creatures. Impressive. I have the add on allowing two of those 18650s for additional runtime. If you had a man overboard on Deadliest Catch you would want one of these bastards to find the guy in the water in his survival suit. Or, if Roy Neary had one he could have answered back when they caught him in his service truck. If I were Squatching I'd absolutely have this thing on my hip (next to a stoked .454 Casull). If that Hudson Valley Triangle p.o.s came back I'd have some luminous medicine for that annoyance you betcha.

There are throw lights you screw to a tripod that will light up a landing strip.I forget just which one but it reminded me of the eye from a Martian War Machine and even then the price made me pause lacking a specific use.

I also use a Nitecore MH20 in my garage that runs forever on a single charge using the same battery, albeit a single. It has the advantage of a standard micro USB port for charging, and since I have various bluetooth speakers and headphones that need the same charger/plug it's quite handy. Cool but I could've lived without it. Have to tone it down to a lower level because it's too bright for general use sometimes.

A Thrunight TI5 is also handy because it runs off a single AAA and is tiny.

Then we get into Panasonic Eneloop AA and AAA batteries. These are Ni-Mh. I use a Panasonic BQ-CC17 charger and run them in all sorts of things. Four years later they all hold a charge and just keep on cooking. The Energizer Bunny would consider them Viagra.

Many of those lights, including the ones I have mentioned, are button style. Some are on the end cap and some are on the body an all require a bit of fiddling to adjust what beam level - there are usually several - you want. Most have a strobe anti-bear or emergency setting too. Neat but annoying.

I carried a number of flashlights over the years as inspection lights. Found myself in the damnedest places and they were indispensable. Believe it or not, Maglite LEDs are the hands down winner for daily use. Pair them with those Panasonic Eneloop batteries and they are absolutely terrific. I use them every day to take the dog diva out back or whatever. They are just a twist to turn on and you don't have to find buttons or fiddle with settings. I carry one on my current incredibly mundane and more than slightly mortifying job daily - a AAA version. Bought several of them a couple of years ago at Home Depot on clearance -like $15 for an AA and AAA package. It gives that watch fob pocket on the right hip of my blue jeans a purpose.

Then, you get into the hot rodders. These are the real flashlight junkies. I have an ancient 6 D-Cell Maglight that I converted to LED using a kit from https://malkoff-devices.myshopify.com/

It's my 'most likely to use as a bludgeon' right by my bed. Damned impressive home grown retrofit kit. Pricey but all cool things tend to be that way. And the beauty of it is that the man is an honest- to-God actual pig farmer from somewhere down South closer to your neck of the woods somewhere. Like, real oink-oink bacon, not Harley. Naturally, I was inclined to buy one of his kits. The website looks slicker than I remember. Found him on eBay. Glad to see he's doing well for himself. Cottage industry.

And then I hit the saturation point and had enough. On to something else.....

I just got a new AA Maglite Pro or something, and it's pretty impressive for what it is. 272 lumens, I think, which is more than my favorite 12 volt Milwaukee flashlight. I carry it at work so I don't have to use my phone. Still made in Californy too! $25 at Ace Hardware, even.

This is really cool, too: TANGO
I've had mine for about a year and it has survived being dropped onto concrete more times than I care to admit.

Amazon does some very shady things with their "fulfillment" program and the resulting reviews. I'd never buy a camera from them, especially since B&H is awesome to deal with and seems to have everything you might want, and for a good price.

Okay, So the watch finally came in, It turns out The Bluetooth calling feature is being held hostage, At first the only way to make a call on it was to direct dial the number, It wouldn't hold a call log or allow you to pick a contact from your list and call them directly, It cost me 1.95 on google play store to purchase a Bluetooth call log that was designed for this watch, Overall, I'm pretty happy with it, The battery life is absolute garbage but I only turn it on when I need to use it, I mean, What's the point of leaving it on all the time when I'm not using it anyway.

It does play final fantasy tactics and a few other games, But Who wants to play a game on a screen the size of a stamp, Overall, It's a good watch, I'm just too old and my eyes are too bad to make use of it, Expensive lesson learned I guess. :/
