I'm definitely going to watch it. Just not in a theater. I don't go out to movies anymore.

I rarely go to the theater anymore but I did for Avengers Infinity war and it was also the first time I saw a movie in an Imax theater...I plan to see this movie Avengers Endgame in an Imax theater as well...

Marvel Prepares to "Avenge the Fallen" in New 'Avengers: Endgame' Posters
With the release of Avengers: Endgame just a month away as of today, new character posters spotlighting the various heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have debuted on social media, offering a reminder of who’s still active — and redefining the name of the franchise in the process.

Each of the posters spotlights one of the MCU’s heroes — including some unexpected choices; Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan gets one, as does Tom Hiddleston’s Loki — in a portrait with each hero looking off camera, with a simple color code: Those active during the time of Endgame’s opening, i.e., those who survived Thanos' Snap, are in full color, while those turned to dust are black and white.

As part of this, at least one casualty was confirmed for the first time: Shuri gets a black-and-white poster, meaning that, although it happened offscreen, she was killed as part of the Snapture. Sorry, everyone who hoped she would secretly be the new Black Panther.

All posters feature the tagline “Avenge the Fallen,” which both offers a new definition of the Avengers title and a callback to 2012’s first Avengers movie, wherein a defiant Tony Stark told Loki, “If we can’t protect the Earth, you can be damn sure we’ll avenge it.” Of course, this time, the stakes are far bigger than just the Earth, with the entire universe — or, at least, 50 percent of it — up for grabs.

Black Panther and Nick Fury? That doesn't seem possible.
You mean that those two characters are gone? I hope someone doesn't come along and say it's a racist poster because of the black & white images and the color ones. ;)

It's not about race. It's because they are major characters, in the movies and comics. There's no way they are gone for good.

You do know they are fictional characters and can be erased with the stroke of a screenwriter's pen don't you?

The original Nick Fury was an American of English extraction.

Samuel L. Jackson doesn't look English.

But the character (Fury) still exists in a new incarnation. That seems to be done fairly often in recent decades. Rarely is a character simply terminated. And I've read that Jackson had signed a multi-year deal with the studio.

As for Black Panther, he recently appeared in a very successful standalone movie. For that reason it doesn't seem likely that Marvel would want to terminate an opportunity for sequels.

I have suspicions, about Endgame, Everyone believes that the entirety of the MCU will be restored, But consider the source material, Sometimes when a catastrophic event like this occurs in comics, they will instead reboot the universe with certain leftover side effects of the last tragedy, I fully believe the Entire MCU won't be fully restored. I mean, I have many reasons, Firstly, That's what everyone is expecting, How often do they give people the exact story they are expecting?

I feel some of those heroes we lost will be gone for the long run. While others will be brought back. Ultimately, I feel that what Thanos did in the infinity war movie will have lasting repercussions.

Sure we will get back what we need, Spiderman, The guardians of the galaxy, Black Panther. They will all return. But I don't feel everyone will return, And I don't feel like this event will be resolved with simple time travel, In the end, The heroes will still be living with great loss. kind of like the reboots in the comics, I strongly suspect Doctor Doom will actually be the next big bad.

I think it will be Kane the Conquerer...

As much of a comics fan as I am, I hadn't heard of this guy, I'm almost ashamed, I'm looking at a video about him now,
how did someone that powerful slip past my radar?

He seems really badass...
