Thanks for the welcomes in other threads. My name is Paul and I love film and all things Sci-Fi. I call myself a movie and TV buff but to be a buff, you'd need to be an expert on movies and television - the history of movies and TV, the programmes, how they are made, etc. So my wife calls it being an addict or 'junkie' Ha, so she says!! I've searched for a place in the internet world to hang out looks like I found it!

When I'm intrigued by a movie I'll look up the trivia on IMDb. I recently looked up 'The Towering Inferno'. I wanted to know how Steve McQueen died and ended up on that site.

The Towering Inferno is probably the best disaster movie of the 70s. Even now there are still some scary moments in it, although most of it is pretty routine disaster movie stuff. A very exciting and rewatchable film.

I remember watching a behind the scenes clip that made me laugh. It was when Steve McQueen was tied to a post and I think they were going to let loose an extreme amount of water. I tried to find the clip but couldn't. He said, "If anything happens to me, Ali gets my pickup truck."

I always thought of this like Dream On where I've have maybe a bit too much TV and movie programming as a kid.
I think you've found some kindred spirits. Welcome to the forum!

Thank You! I find aliens an interesting topic that unfortunately also has alot of hogwash in it from movies, media, etc.
My personal belief is that ETs do exist. I believe they exist because this is a incredibly huge universe. From the movie Contact – it’d be an awful waste of space if we were the only ones here.
