Northwest forest area

Venturing in to deeper thicker forest areas northwest of my house has been quite interesting, there are a scarce few human made trails by dirt bikes or 4 wheelers but these paths have not been used in some time and are over grown...

The best way into the thick forest is starting at this lake...







Then following a trail that's a little over grown it circles half way around this lake and turns northwest away and into a thick path full over many vines and strange vibes...



It gets thicker and darker as the trees cover the sun more...



Tomorrow evening we are going to follow this path to see where it leads...I checked Google maps and there are no manmade structures or anything, it's all thick forest for many many miles...

Have you ever seen any nests created by a big foot or any apparitions?

Not as of yet but I'm keeping watch of that, there are parts of the forest I've been close to that felt negative and dark, when I'm ready I will explore that area, looking at my gps ive inly explored a very small area of this forest region...

That body of water looks familiar. Is that where you saw that red object in the tree once?

Beautiful dog, I miss not having pets. They make such great companions.

I live near the titiwangsa mountain, it's the backbone of the country.. I haven't go venturing in there yet, its quite scary to drive in there, there got ravines, narrow roads, less to almost no people, probably some wild animals and etc.

I'm not sure but people don't go in there much, only the forest rangers.

Do you think they're hiding something? Have they crafted spooky folklore about the region to keep people away?

No, I don't think they are hiding anything, anyone can go in but that place is indeed spooky, near the mountain, terrible things has happened during the Japanese invasion, that place is still haunted but it's quite well know because of this one world war 2 heroine, her house is still there as a memorial and its near my home.

its said that people use to hide in these mountains to avoid the Japanese and the Japanese used to make a base or something up there but they left it after the bombing of hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Looks like very country....

Be a nice location for the first annual AE camping trip. A few kegs and few tents and it would be ready to go.

I'm not much of one for taking kids along for outings, but I like the one you've got, a good looking kid that one is too.

I'll be north up in the Appalachian mountains with kobi this coming Friday and Saturday, the area where I usually camp is about 3200 ft. elevation, with natural springs, dense forests and grassy meadows, lots of wildlife, even bears and black panthers...

That's an incredible place....spent some time camping on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Saw a bear near Mount Mitchell.

My trip has been postponed, there's too much going on at work and I may be needed or called upon so I'm staying close to home today...I still may go tomorrow morning for a day trip, but not the two days camping originally planned...That will have to wait for another upcoming weekend...

Kobi and I hiked the Northwest direction into the forest, a little more West this time, my property end with a mowed trail of grass between large oak trees and up a hill, once over the hill the trees start becoming denser until down in the small valley it's darker and moist...I don't care to stay there too long, just a few minutes in passing, the trees are not welcoming...

We move on up another hill and leveling off with open patches of grassy areas between tall maples, oaks, and poplar trees, I'm enjoying the feel of the sunshine rays hitting my body as I stand in one of the grassy spots...Its grasses are about a meter in height, I look to see Kobi 20 meters away stalking a squirrel from the tall grasses...

We circle around and head back and crossing a small creek where a deer had recently been, I see it's tracks and Kobi smells it...This is also an area that skunks have been running through and Kobi already chased a skunk once this year and got sprayed on the head, yuck..I put his harness on so he doesn't run off after something and we get back home just in time to see 2 guineas run right through the back yard...It was all I could do to hold him back from chasing those birds lol...
