You hate it when:

The shadow knows!
I hate it when I learn my 12 year old son has been skateboarding for weeks and I had no clue.
I also hate it when I find out about it when he sprained his ankle showing off and I get called to the emergency room..

Would you still have hated it if the second part hadn't happened?

yeah thinking about it..
I let my kids make some choices.
I'm just angry that he hurt himself.
that I could have been more diligent in what he chooses to do.
That could have warned him about showing off.
or trying tricks he was not ready for.

As Above So Below
Again this morning, I received an email from a prospective customer asking about costs to do some work for him, not even 45 minutes goes by, I get another email from the same individual, "Hello, did you get my email?"...Seriously? and its also Sunday morning, about 0815 in the morning when that first email arrived...I generally do not do business with people like this, as it may seem like a minor thing, their impatience is not bound to an email response...That impatience will ride me until I'm done with the work, if I choose to take it...

...

I hate it when someone conflates email and texting, you should not expect an immediate response via email...An immediate reply is not guaranteed nor should ever be expected when sending an email...Our society riding on instant gratification is causing people to become increasingly impatient...

when you save something - sometimes for years - and when you finally need it and actually remember you have it you find out that whatever it used to be it's garbage now ......

Interesting.

:) only seems interesting until I reveal what I as talking about. Probably a lesson there for some paranormal investigator somewhere - imagination has a lot more flavor. Yesterday was just a stupid can of spray primer I have been using. Almost full. Used it about 6 months ago. Properly cleaned & stored and yet when I need it ... pfffft ....

The other day it was a snow shovel. In 1994 I bought a nice shiny red Thunderbird and bought a compact snow shovel for the trunk. Never used it. Been carrying that p.o.s around since then. Until the other day when it had the chance to shine. First scoop an it shattered like sugar glass !! 25 years and it was useless!

I bought two Austrian military surplus folding shovels for about 30 bucks - one for my wife and one for me. Designed for serious digging. Like, as if your life depended on it because it might. Leftovers from probably the '70s. I won't be needing any more shovels.

Like that damned can of primer (Rustoleum Clean Metal Primer has the PF seal of approval when it works) I hate it when you can't get the last bit of product out of a container. WD-40 and PB Blast have now attached their spray tubes directly to the can - solving a problem I hadn't been having. Now I always wind up with a certain amount sloshing around the can that I can't get out. Drives me nuts. Not to worry though! I casually mentioned that to a chatty Home Depot employee and - wait for it - he suggested that I boil these large aerosol cans and that'll solve the problem .......
:cute:

Well, to be fair that will likely get the rest of the stuff out. I guess I'm being too picky.
