The shadow

The shadow knows!
After a short break our
marathon continues:
The voyage home.
This film is light fun and filled with humor and joy. If the trek movies ended here it would have been a perfect end..
10/10

The shadow

The shadow knows!
And so it ends.. for now.
Star trek marathon
The undiscovered country.
Better than part 5.
The cast is dailing in their performances. Drama such as Nimoy making up his lines as he went..
the curtain call for ToS cast deserve better.

The very last movie I saw at the theaters before the Covid circus got underway, was BLOODSHOT.
I give it an 8 out of 10.
Vin Diesel(Mark Sinclair Vincent) was very good.
I would love to see him in a 'SLIDERS' return.

I liked Bloodshot too.
Is there a Sliders movie in the works?

...Watched these two this weekend. ... The first one '7500' was pretty ok for a low budget effort, not too much action or originality , but a decent way of passing an hour and half if you like a little suspense. 7/10.

This second one , i have been putting off for a while now because it didn't read on the movies description nearly as good as it actually is. ... I recommend this one highly. 9/10.

Cheers.

Doctor who: in the beginning.
The year is 1963. The world still in shock over the murder of JFK.
And in England two school teachers blundered into the TARDIS for the first time. We have the cardboard sets. the Stellar performance of William Hartnell. cavemen and the daleks.
In the beginning is a movie version of the 1st 4 episodes of the BBC classic.
including a 30 minute version of the missing "Marco Polo " using animation screenshots and a voice recording. it is by nature a long watch. but well worth seeing the TARDIS for the 1st time.
And the amazing first outing of the daleks.
And shows why Doctor who became a iconic series.
10/10

Yes I agree 100% Shadow. ... Didn't watch it the first time around because of the obvious reason lol ... but have watched ever since I can remember. I've seen every episode that can be seen, and practically love them all, ... the older the better. [reminds me of my very happy youth] ... and as to the brilliant and original Hartnell episodes, ... the only thing that I can say is... WTF? ... I can't believe that i'm actually older now than he was there! .. must have had a few hard winters lol.

... but wasn't it good.

... and what do you reckon to this other little gem of my youth Shadow? ...

Well, movie night just finished ... time for bed, but I thought that i'd just post while the two that we just watched was fresh in mind.... Come To Daddy ...

... it was not the best of the genre ... but completely satisfying as an hour and half of a darkly-comic thriller .. [in the manner of the even more excellent Fargo T V series] 8/10.
...and . .. Ready Or Not ...
... This one I found ok, but not nearly as good as the general critic ratings from rotten tomatoes etc ... but would still give it a 7/10.

Cheers.

Rikki and I wanted to introduce the boys to Shakespeare. sometimes the bard can be dry and not appealing to young taste. Henry V solves This problem. Action Adventure and the immortal prose of Shakespeare make for an amazing movie. "we few, we happy few."
Chris was captivated by the tale of knights war and intrigue.
His SCA mentor was pleased he embraced the arts. so are we.

I just watched Kingsman: The Goldern Circle. Really shocked I enjoyed it. I think Elton John made it for me. He was so funny in it.
I watched the first in the series on Friday. I don't usually like comedies, but it was fun. I'll watch Golden Circle tonight.

I'm watching this movie later this evening, has anyone seen it?...

Yep... i'll not try to influence your thoughts on it though ... but imho, nowhere near the class of film that I would have expected for 'The Shining' follow-up. ... But maybe that's just me, and you might have a different opinion old mate.

Cheers Buddy.

Hello 1963, thanks I finished watching this movie a couple hours ago, I enjoyed it, I went it not seeing it as a follow-up or sequel to The Shining, but more of a stand alone movie...It was interesting how they played the vampire type entities, feeding themselves from not just anyone but those with higher psychic abilities, and that girl really showed them a thing or two lol...This was an entertaining movie for me, I'd give it a 7/10, it's a horror movie but wasn't horrible to watch lol...

I'm watching this one... so far it is pretty good and I think it's worth more than the 5.3 that imdb has given it but I'll have to wait and see. I don't have speakers just a wireless headset. I was watching a bunch of youtube clips this morning before I decided to watch the movie and my headset ran out of power so, I still have 25 minutes to watch. lol
