How is The Coronavirus affecting your life?

That's the same guy who was saying that the 'official narrative' the police gave in regard to Sandy Hook was false. I looked for his 'Full Disclosure' video and strangely, it's been pulled. Maybe Alex Jones knows what happened to it.

That's what this guy does - picks a topic and roots out the conspiracy.

If they are going to make it mandatory to wear masks then they should be provided free of cost for everyone living at or under the poverty level.

I don't agree with that, you can use a bandana or made a simple mask at home, masks should not be supplied for free...People have to wear clothing and shoes to enter a store, should clothes and shoes be provided for free?...

Well, when it comes to opinions about personal freedom you easily wind up out on the thin ice.

I ride a motorcycle - been down hard on one once. Wasn't fun. I wear a helmet, period. I'll refer you to Gary Busey to make the argument against doing that. I wear a seat belt in my truck too and don't consider it a burden.

Somehow this seems to apply. Not just to the damned masks but to the way the whole friggin' world has gone lately

A COVID-19 symptom-tracking app reveals that there are six distinct types of infections, each distinguished by different symptoms.

A team of British scientists at King’s College in London found that the six types of infection also correlate to the severity of an infection and the likelihood of the patient needing hospitalization and breathing aid. This new finding could help doctors predict which patients are at risk and likely to need more hospital care. “If you can predict who these people are at Day Five, you have time to give them support and early interventions such as monitoring blood and oxygen and sugar levels, and ensuring they are properly hydrated,” Claire Steves, a doctor who co-led the study, told Reuters. The six types of infections are described as:

  1. ‘Flu-like’ with no fever: Headache, loss of smell, muscle pains, cough, sore throat, chest pain, no fever.

  2. ‘Flu-like’ with fever: Headache, loss of smell, cough, sore throat, hoarseness, fever, loss of appetite.

  3. Gastrointestinal: Headache, loss of smell, loss of appetite, diarrhea, sore throat, chest pain, no cough.

  4. Severe level one, fatigue: Headache, loss of smell, cough, fever, hoarseness, chest pain, fatigue.

  5. Severe level two, confusion: Headache, loss of smell, loss of appetite, cough, fever, hoarseness, sore throat, chest pain, fatigue, confusion, muscle pain.

  6. Severe level three, abdominal and respiratory: Headache, loss of smell, loss of appetite, cough, fever, hoarseness, sore throat, chest pain, fatigue, confusion, muscle pain, shortness of breath, diarrhea, abdominal pain.
Patients with symptoms that match those of levels 4, 5 and 6 are more likely to need hospital care.

I have often wondered what would happen if the internet went down for a few days. I do believe that humans would turn into raving lunatics if they couldn’t access their social media.

This week a friend of mine who lived in Houston Texas moved out of Houston and drove here to North Carolina to get away from the horrors of the coronavirus that is out of control there...I've been helping him find a place to rent and get him moved in and settled...The county I live in has a much lower infection rate than many of the surrounding counties, so far its been relatively safer here lately, but it could change in a short time...The country is falling into a very serious situation with this coronavirus, death rates are spiking now that the hospitals are over capacity in many states...Best thing I can do now is stay home as much as possible which I have been, I go to the grocery store once a week at most, gasoline fill ups for the car are not as often since I'm not driving much...I buy 10 days to 2 weeks of food, both human and dog food, since the two grocery stores are enforcing mask wearing inside their shops I have felt better about going in those two places...I have noticed everyone keeps their masks on whilst inside the store and keeping their distances from each other as much as possible, in my area people are starting to do the right thing more so than a few weeks ago...

The nursing home my uncle died from the coronavirus had 11 more coronavirus deaths besides my uncle, two of the 11 were staff, the rest were residents...When my family had the funeral, 5 family members refused to wear a mask when they showed up at the funeral home...I do not know if they were allowed in the building or not, I just find it illogical for these people not wearing masks to a funeral of a relative who died because someone else did not wear a mask and exposed him to the virus which killed him...

I wonder if people continue to fight the idea of wearing a mask because it is a control issue. No one wants to be told what to do. I think that part of the problem is that politicians are ignorant and they have told the population they have nothing to worry about. We have found that advice is simple stupidity on a massive scale. I think the final part is that a segment of people are ignorant and no amount of truth will change their minds.

I think mask wearing or not has many issues, some being a control thing, some issues have been or have become a political stance as well which should never have been allowed to happen, I think some people see this mask issue as taking away more liberties, without considering it as being a short term inconvenience, I also believe that some people refuse to wear a mask because of vanity...

Try to get ten people in a room to agree on anything.

There will always be a certain percentage of people that will behave irrationally no matter what the circumstances or issue.

My car has been in the repair shop since June 15th. He is having a difficult time finding the old freon that my air conditioning unit uses.

I needed to take a taxi to go for groceries. I have severe motion sickness and cannot sit in the back seat. If I sit in the front seat and stare straight ahead, I can usually last about half an hour. I cannot use public transportation of any sort. If I try to bus it I am passing out while vomiting all over myself within 3 minutes.

Because of Covid 19 the city has passed a bylaw. No one is allowed to sit in the front seat with the driver Not even if you wear a face mask and gloves. My fridge, freezer, and cupboards are completely empty. I cannot order groceries online because I only have microsoft xp and therefore am unable to update my browsers so, I am not given access to online shopping. Not that I ever wanted to shop online but, now I am pretty much fucked. I have been shopping at 7 Eleven down the street where a 2 liter jug of milk cost almost $6 and a loaf of white wonder bread is almost $5 a loaf. They don't carry fresh produce or meat.

I have no idea how I'm going to get my car back when the time comes to pick it up.

I always thought they could drain out the old freon refrigerant and use the newer stuff in its place...?

I thought so too. I know that it isn't that easily done because they refused to refill my air conditioner in my last Oldsmobile when I went to Mr Lube for a oil change a few years back. I don't recall what the reasoning was but they were adamant about it.

He, my mechanic, says that if he were to just fill it with what he has, it would contaminate his tank and cost hundreds of dollars to flush it out. I am going to call him on Monday and ask what it would cost to flush my unit and put the more recent and accessible freon in it. I know that my air conditioner unit does leak, he could see a leak when he first looked at it.

Seriously, how much of the old chemicals could still be in there? But, I've been going to this person for at least the last 12 years that I have lived in this part of town. He's always kind, courteous, and fair if not cheaper priced. He has always been honest with me and I don't want to risk offending him because I would not know where else to take my car in the future if I pissed him off.

OK, not fully functional yet today but yes AC can be a giant pain in the shorts. Without bothering Google I think the old refrigerant was R12, then it went to R134a somewhere in the mid 90s, and now I think they've moved on to something else.

The refrigerant has oil in it to lube up the compressor that pushes it around the system. R12 had one kind (mineral oil I think) , the new stuff another and they don't get along well. So your mechanic has a contraption to clean that stuff out, plus there is an environmental consideration. Not supposed to just vent it. If you do - hypothetically speaking of course - it's messy. Then you have to ask yourself where the old refrigerant went and the answer is almost always "a leak somewhere that's a royal bitch to locate"

There. That cheer you up? :)

I haven't had AC in my car since I've had the car, over 4 years, just procrastinating buying a new compressor...So in the heat of the summer it's hot and sweaty if I drive, all the windows down all the time lol...
