Alien Autopsy Fakery Spelled out in Detail

The boys over at Astonishing Legends have put out another gem.

I'm sure almost everybody is familiar with the sensational Alien Autopsy special that first aired on Fox in 1995. The film that was broadcast has been both debunked and defended. However, the line presently being put forward by the producers Ray Santilli and Gary Shoefield is that they had "restored" the damaged footage by filming a simulated autopsy on a fabricated alien, based upon what Santilli said he saw in 1992, and then adding in a few frames of the original film that had not degraded. So, while what was aired was technically fake for the most part, it is based on reality and incorporates some actual footage of an autopsy of an actual extraterrestrial being.

Now to the present podcast episode:

Enter tonight's guest, magician and media producer Spyros Melaris. Spyros has a convincing story of his own, that he and his friend, sculptor and Special Effects artist John Humphreys created the film and everything seen in it – that there is no authentic autopsy film. Whatever you may decide after hearing part one of our interview with Spyros, one thing is sure: the Alien Autopsy film captured the imagination of the world and might be one of the greatest hoaxes of all time.

Even if you never bought into the notion that the alien autopsy was legit, I think you'll be impressed with the degree of care Spyros and Humphreys applied in producing the model and the film, as well as the craftiness Spyros exercised to fool both experts and the general audience.

That and they have to have the military to prove their case then think its the military's responsibility to inform the public about it...99.9% of the public does not know what national security means! We are suppose to expose our entire playbook to the DAMN world according to truthers!

I think the horse done got pulverized long ago, and we've just been beating a big dusty hole in the ground for the past few decades. But any minute now...

....that's just what They want you to believe.

As for this episode - I'm not all the way through it. Good background noise while I'm farting around with something.

Quite a bit more thought put into the fakery than I suspected. They spliced in leaders of real film from the era to make it appear as if it were done in 1947. Whoever it was at Kodak that verified the film age got the same treatment my uncle once gave to an IRS auditor; only show them what you want them to see and not all at once. There was expert verification of something that, well, wasn't.

Bet you a dollar that Bill Munns would have caught the obvious splice in the film right out of the gate. The Kodak guy might have too had Spyros not been there putting the whammy on him.
