Well, there's my laugh for the day. I got thrown off of EBay years ago. I opened a store here selling stun guns and cell phones. So I bought a bunch off of EBay, to stock the store. I was doing good and then about a week later, before I could buy everything, they told me I was buying too much too fast, and threw me off and cancelled my orders. Since when is buying too fast a crime? My money was good, and being taken, but somehow they don't like that. The sellers sure did.

Maybe they thought you were going to start a war. I won't get any of that from them, just a good tag teaming so I blow my wad. I thought it was over but I getting sloppy seconds on failed attempts. I'm buying everything tonight. Shopping pattern, hardly ever and then a big spender, algorithm for that would be one on each arm, bottle of house bubbly and heading for the black jack table for a good milking.

I've been seriously looking at buying another house recently, I began looking after Thanksgiving two months ago and found a decent 3 bedroom brick home on 7 acres that was one county to the north and closer to the mountains too...There was an inspection done and there's major problems with the septic system of the house that the owner refuses to address and also refuses to negotiate the price, so I'm looking again...The problem where I live now, well its the start of a problem that will grow as the years go on, a guy down the road sold his land a couple years ago, no problem there, but then the new owners then sold it to a veternarian who was going to build a house on it and decided to build a new vet office and kennel instead...Still no too much of a problem however he had the land re-zoned to commercial land and the small town captured it as part of theirs for the extra taxes...I've noticed the town has been doing that to businesses being built in the county outside the city limits of that town, looking on the county website maps you can see checked parts of land all around the town re-zoned and captured by the town as their jurisdiction instead of the county...So the city has a foothold in my area and directly down the street from me, its only a matter of time before the town absorbs more lands around me and re-zones more of it for commercial use...I will not wait for that to happen, so I'm moving as soon as I find the house I want to purchase...

...

A topic of frequent conversation. Ideally we'd like a single level home on some property - property that doesn't require the maintenance I have now. Detached garage with a big concrete pad. We have some time yet and are trying to figure out where.

** single level home means I could actually get the teacup pig I've always talked about.

I have been giving love to my septic system for 23+ years. Took down dozens of trees to open up the leech field, have the 1000 gallon tank pumped every third year and yet still managed to suffer a collapsed pipe between the house and the tank. Generally behaves itself and is unnoticeable except when it wants something - and when it wants something its usually s**tloads of money.

One of the things that I have found, since I have lived in the mountains for 12 years now, is that
a septic tank doesn't need too much, if it is placed properly to begin with. But most of the time
we ourselves have no choice in that decision - since it's done by the builder.
However, you can save yourself quite a bit of money if you will cut the load in half or rather
somewhere near a third less. Take a 55 gallon drum and punch a three inch hole on the bottom of one side. You will be making a hole to place this in, right side up in a bit, so you need to work on this when nobody is looking, such as building inspectors (at night is preferred).
Dig a hole in your yard, so that the top of the barrel is about two feet from
the level of your land, or below the street level. Yes, it's a deep hole, and that's why we do this part at night, or else your neighbors will swear you are burying one of your ex-wives there.

We will be attaching a three inch drain pipe in pvc, which we have pre-drilled with three eights
holes all over the damn place, and this should be two sections of pipe or about 24 feet total length.
This needs to go as deep as the drum, but since it is much narrower, it is easier.
If your ground is sandy you can even use a 1 inch sprinkler hose - which is what I got
away with in Florida, but up in the north you will need to wait for spring and use the pvc.
to the top of the buried 55 gallon drum and buried drain, you will input all of the water and
soap from your washing machine. And your shop sink as well if you like. That will
cut down on the work for your septic tank, and the total cost is less than $50. Mine in
Florida lasted at least 10 years that I was there, and I put one in Texas in the springtime
and it lasted a few years as well.
Happy digging.
PS Kids can dig too. Remember Hucklebury Finn when he charged the neighbor kids 5o cent
to paint his fence? Same concept.

Thanks. I put in something very similar as a dry well years ago to eliminate a drainage problem near the house. Came close to digging it up and replumbing it recently to allow a water softener discharge but went with an alternative. We have a town water supply and the water is excellent and not too hard, you can soap up just fine, but leaves a lot of white mineral buildup in the hot water feed. It jacked up the coil of a brand new boiler quickly and I had to 'sizzle' it twice to get hot water flow. Rather than condition the input and deal with all that I eliminated it in favor of a closed loop like my hydronic baseboards. The boiler now has a 4th zone that heats the water in a 35 gallon stone lined tank - I can take a steaming hot shower all day long if I want.

The guy that I've been going to for years, and now his son, explained the system to me in a way that made sense. They're not that complicated really but it's a hell of a lot of digging with a back hoe to replace. The best thing I did was to cut down all the trees that made the back yard so dark. Last step in the system is evaporation and now it works great.

If @nivek is negotiating (and sound like not) I'd have $20K in mind for something like that, maybe more.

OF course it's too early in the morning here and my brain was wired upside down.
You put the hole in the top of the side of the barrel, so that when it fills it overflows
into the drain line, which is thus only about two feet or so below ground level.
Sorry for the confusion.

Good for you, sounds like a really wizard solution that I will remember.

God bless you and yours and especially your dad. I lost my best friend and dad 20 years ago, and every now and then I still feel it. That's why sometimes you see me quoting things that my dad told me - as words of wisdom. Enjoy the snow.
I want to thank you. I was raised by my dad alone. My mom abandoned him after I was born. He taught me everything.
It is wonderful that he lived to see 3 of his grandchildren.
When the twins were born I told him
"I hope I will be half the father you were to me." He turned tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry I was not half the father I should have been."
It is to note my oldest son Ian has promised to become a marine. My dad was a marine his flag and bronze star along with his purple heart sit in a display In our den.
I been encouraging my son to prepare for OCS. I tell him " no one commands more respect than a marine corps officer.
I hope he follows his grandpa. He serves with honor. It's all a father can ask.
"The father begets the son. The son becomes the father." -superman.

There seems to be an increase in people trying to scam others in emails and by telephone. I get a couple of emails per week from people who do not know the English language. They generally state that if I help them out in some way I am due a huge windfall of money. They just need my personal information.

The other scam comes by phone. The latest message states I am in trouble with the law. If I don’t reply to this call the FBI is coming for me. This would be a first that law enforcement would give me a heads up that they were coming to arrest me.

Shadow case files :
The case of the purloned peanut butter and jelly.
Arrived in the kitchen found half opened peanut butter and jelly jars. Empty bread wrapping.
I went to the room of Samantha Justine the suspect was eating the evidence.
"I made them my self daddy. I'm a big girl."
I agreed with the suspect and helped her clean up while my assistant cleaned. The kitchen.

It's catching.

I am never a big spender and well used to it. One of my brothers is a foamer, when I see the strings of white in both corners as he jabbers on in excitement, I embed the image as a negative with him doing circles after his own tail.

I've come down back to Earth after a binge on two fronts. Another bail of weed has been ordered to see me through until the end and I have to do the deed by a dirty old canal under a bridge with a person who's face I have never seen. And then I get the weed...lol.

I'm seriously thinking about becoming a mobile gripper.

I had a job in my early teens, I undertook to re grip golf clubs for a small retail outlet and can bang a set out in under an hour. I've got the supply already set up and I don't know of anyone else offering this service.

Pull up outside your place and take them in the back of the van, be ready to use in two hours. I can fit for clubs too and alter lie and loft.

I was on the coach to Belgium when Tommy told me about his prostate exam.

He said he was on his side with his gown draping over the black hole of Calcutta and a young student came in to sit in on the exam. Tommy said he was asked if he was ok with this, inside he said he wasn't but the vulnerable position he was in forced out a yes.

During the exam the doctor then asked if the young lad got go hands on and poor old Tommy already feeling violated agreed. Tommy said for reasons he can't give, as soon as the young lad was in, he turned with a smile and said " tight inneye ".

I live for this sort of stuff.
