He abandoned his dog...

Who will care for Captain? Movers arrive at the Governor's mansion for Cuomo's final day in office but his dog Captain is LEFT BEHIND and he asks staff if anyone wants the rescue pup

Outgoing New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has abandoned his dog, Captain, at the state executive mansion while he stays at his sister's Westchester home - as movers arrive for his final day in office.

The move began three days prior as moving trucks were seen transporting the disgraced governor's belongings to the Westchester house of his sister Maria Cole, and her fashion designer husband, Kenneth Cole.

Cuomo had recently begun asking staff at the mansion if anyone would like to keep Captain, a shepherd, Siberian and malamute mix, according to a report by the Albany Times Union.

Cuomo adopted the dog as a puppy in 2018, and he has been known to have nipped people during his time in the mansion. One mansion staff member reportedly took Cuomo up on the offer and brought Captain home with them, but the he proved too much to handle, two state police sources told the Times Union.

I tried to find the list Maher had on his show on 8/13/21...he showed a list of famous people, politicians mostly, who were involved in sex scandals....of course Clinton and Trump were both listed ...two who got away with it btw.
There were 3o names on the Dem side and 36 on the Gop side. If anyone can find it please post it..I looked but couldn't bring up that part of the show on you tube.
Seems like Cuomo just didn't have enough power or support to make it go away. :dry8:
Did he have Clarence Thomas on his list?

Of the 'three men in a room' that brought us so many great things in NY state politics two have been locked up for corruption and this putz just resigned in disgrace. Look back not that far and you'll see David Paterson who proved that blind people can be *******s too and then there's Client #9 who was at least doing something involving sex that you look at and say, well .... yeah ..... but you can't get caught doing that and for the sake of decency remove your black socks first.

I think he was mentioned ...it was a long list of politicians who have been embroiled in sex scandals.
And many of them including DT and Clinton got away with it.
As I said there were 30 Dems and 36 GOP on the list he showed on air.... those were just the ones that were known for certain,,, some were rumors and never accused/charged in public. One wonders how long that list would have been. :unsure8:

Andrew Cuomo Loses His Emmy on Same Day He’s Replaced as Governor
The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences rescinded the award Mr. Cuomo received for his pandemic briefings, citing the sexual harassment allegations against him.

Aug. 24, 2021
In the latest blow to his legacy, former Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of New York has been stripped of the Emmy Award he received last year for his popular briefings on the coronavirus.

The announcement from the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences on Tuesday came the day after Mr. Cuomo resigned and hours after Gov. Kathy Hochul was sworn in to replace him. It marks another loss for Mr. Cuomo as his legacy is reconsidered following a scathing report by the state attorney general’s office that found he had sexually harassed 11 women, including several of his aides.

Mr. Cuomo received the International Emmy Founders Award last year for his daily briefings on the Covid-19 pandemic, which drew millions of viewers, boosted his national profile and turned him into a symbol of comfort and strong leadership for many Americans.

In a statement Tuesday, the academy said it had pulled the award because of the sexual harassment allegations and Mr. Cuomo’s resignation.

“The International Academy announced today that in light of the New York attorney general’s report, and Andrew Cuomo’s subsequent resignation as governor, it is rescinding his special 2020 International Emmy Award,” the organization said. “His name and any reference to his receiving the award will be eliminated from International Academy materials going forward.”

The Founders Award is presented to an individual or organization who “crosses cultural boundaries to touch our common humanity,” the academy said. Prior recipients of the award include former Vice President Al Gore and Oprah Winfrey.

During the presentation of Mr. Cuomo’s award at a virtual ceremony last November, the academy played clips from his briefings as well as video messages of praise from New York icons like Spike Lee, Robert De Niro, Rosie Perez and Billy Crystal.

“The governor’s 111 daily briefings worked so well because he effectively created television shows, with characters, plot lines, and stories of success and failure,” Bruce L. Paisner, the president and chief executive of the International Academy, said in a statement announcing the award. “People around the world tuned in to find out what was going on, and New York tough became a symbol of the determination to fight back.”

But Mr. Cuomo’s star sank dramatically in the wake of the attorney general’s report, criticism over allegations of undercounted nursing home deaths during the pandemic and a push for impeachment, culminating in his resignation Monday night.

he's a judge not necessarily a politician. a creep too though from the sounds of it.
Yes but supreme court justice is an appointment by politicians. I remember they did not take the allegations against him seriously, and I think that is a mistake. It sent a very ugly message to women who have been raped or sexually assaulted or harassed.

Cuomo's true COVID death toll: NY state officially adds the 12K deaths that disgraced ex-governor left out of his tally to increase the number of pandemic dead to 55K

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has acknowledged nearly 12,000 more deaths in the state from COVID-19 than had been publicized by her predecessor, Andrew Cuomo.

On Wednesday, New York quietly updated its Covid death toll to nearly 55,400 based on death certificate data submitted to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

This is a 27 percent increase from the 43,400 that Cuomo had reported to the public as of Monday, his last day in office.

Hochul made it clear she was distancing herself from Cuomo, who resigned after being labeled a serial sex harasser earlier this month in a report conducted by state Attorney General Letitia James. It upholds the allegations of 11 women who say Cuomo sexually harassed them.

The updated death toll comes as Cuomo's administration is under investigation for its handling of nursing home coronavirus deaths, which were also underreported.

I recently had MUCH too good of a look at a New York nursing home during this pandemic that is probably fairly typical. I have to put in the disclaimer that there are people working there who genuinely care and try to help and then there are a lot who just don't. I can easily see how many facilities would be totally unprepared to deal with covid - many can barely deal with their daily obligations much less that kind of stress. To require them to house covid positive people is criminal.

Some people have just never been to one and have no idea - we have family members like that. Cuomo lives in a bubble so he's probably one of them. But he was also governor. Sad thing is, if he hadn't been grabbing at tits all this would have been swept away - probably by the same people who are now going to roast him.

If he can leave his dog he has no moral qualms about your grandmother's well being.

Where in the world is Andrew Cuomo? Homeless New York 'luv gov' has not been seen since leaving the executive mansion in disgrace in August after admitting he didn't know where he was going to live

It's one of the great disappearing acts of all time. Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has not been seen since the day he quit office in disgrace nearly two months ago. He owns no known property and has been living at no fixed abode since leaving the executive mansion in Albany on August 23. When he quit, Cuomo, 63, told New York magazine he wasn't 'disappearing,' but admitted he didn't know where he was going to live. There has been plenty of speculation as to where the former governor may be hanging his hat. Top of the list is Five Chimneys, the $2.9million home in Purchase, New York, owned by his sister Maria and her fashion designer husband Kenneth Cole. Others have speculated that he might be staying at the home of his close ally Jeffrey Sachs in Southampton on Long Island or with his younger brother Chris Cuomo in East Hampton.

Cuomo misrepresented COVID-19 nursing home toll, report says

The New York Assembly's investigation into former Gov. Andrew Cuomo's conduct in office concluded the Democrat's administration misrepresented how many nursing home residents died of COVID-19, according to a lawmaker who reviewed the committee's still-secret report.
------------
The Associated Press and other news organizations reported on gaps in the state's statistical accounting of fatalities, including the administration's decision to exclude from its nursing home death totals thousands of patients who died after being transferred to hospitals.

The Davis Polk investigators confirmed press reports that the state Department of Health wanted to include those hospital deaths in the state's nursing home fatality count.

"The investigation showed that as they were considering these matters, the book deal was going on, there's a chapter in the book about nursing homes," said Steck, a Democrat who represents part of the Albany area. "They were trying to make it as what they thought was least damaging to the governor instead of just telling the truth."

Cuomo’s resignation in August stymied the law firm’s efforts to interview witnesses about the misrepresentation of nursing home data, according to Assembly Member Mary Beth Walsh, a Republican.

"I believe that the timing of the governor’s resignation really kind of truncated the investigation and the ability to investigate on that," said Walsh, whose district includes parts of Saratoga and Schenectady counties. "Several individuals who were scheduled to be subpoenaed did not cooperate after the governor’s resignation."

CNN says Chris Cuomo's fate will be decided in 'next several days' after text messages revealed HE wrote Andrew's sex pest rebuttals and used 'sources' to dig dirt on accuser, despite denying 'closely advising' him: AG exposes host's lies

CNN says star host Chris Cuomo's fate will be decided in the 'next several days' after damning texts showed how he helped pen his brother Andrew's sex pest rebuttals and used sources to dig up dirt on accusers. Bombshell documents released Monday by the New York Attorney General Letitia James's office show that he exchanged dozens of text messages with Andrew Cuomo's top aide, Melissa DeRosa, despite him telling investigators they had 'irregular contact'. DailyMail.com asked CNN for comment, but the network has refused to comment. Texts also revealed Cuomo used his connections to find out about accusers, telling DeRosa he 'a lead on the wedding girl,' in reference to Anne Ruch (right), who told The New York Times the governor became 'aggressive toward her during a September 2019 wedding. She said he cupped her face in his hands and asked: 'Can I kiss you?' In a statement to DailyMail.com this evening, CNN said: 'The thousands of pages of additional transcripts and exhibits that were released today by the NY Attorney General deserve a thorough review and consideration. We will be having conversations and seeking additional clarity about their significance as they relate to CNN over the next several days.'

The amount of latitude CNN has given that nitwit boggles the mind. Fill in the blank as you like but in this case I'm referring to that pompous ass Chris Cuomo.
