Which is worse, burning coal for power or having nuclear powered plants in which you will need to bury spent fuel rods for the next 100,000 years?

Well, if you subscribe to anthropomorphic climate change then the coal's the bigger problem in the short term. Tell that to China and India. Kaf Kaf kaf.

I just was surprised at Japan. I'd have thought they'd harness an undersea volcano with giant robots, have Gamera help out somehow, just something waaaaaay cooler than burning coal. Better than what they did last time though I suppose .....

How Finnish soldier accidentally overdosed on Nazi meth pills during World War 2 battle - sparking a two-week trip that ended with him half-naked and badly wounded in a ditch eating a raw bird before he was rescued ALIVE

Aimo Koivunen (left), a Finnish soldier, was fleeing Soviets troops during a scouting mission in 1944 when he accidentally took his whole squad's supply of Nazi meth pills (inset) - sparking a two-week trip. During that time, Aimo skiied (ski soldiers pictured, right) some 250 miles around the Arctic Circle while hallucinating and suffering blackouts, at one point fighting a wolverine that turned out to be a tree branch and talking to old friends who weren't there. He ended up stumbling into an abandoned German camp that had been booby-trapped, stepping on a landmine that blew his right foot off, and then setting off another bomb that blew most of his clothes away. He was eventually found, two weeks after disappearing, badly wounded, half-naked and eating a raw bird in a ditch. He was taken to hospital where medics found his heartrate was more than double what it should be, but survived and died in 1989 at the age of 71.

Amazon apologizes after Alexa 'challenged' girl, 10, to put COIN into plug socket as part of 'dangerous' TikTok trend

Amazon has apologised after an Echo voice assistant challenged a 10-year-old girl to touch a coin to the prongs of a half-inserted plug - an act that could be fatal. Kristin Livdahl, from the US, has told how her daughter asked Alexa for a challenge on Sunday - to which the voice assistant responded: ''Plug in a phone charger about halfway into a wall outlet, then touch a penny to the exposed prongs'. 'OMFG My 10 year old just asked Alexa on our Echo for a challenge and this is what she said,' she wrote on Twitter alongside a screenshot from the Alexa app. Amazon has since updated its voice assistant to prevent it from happening again, and said they fixed the issue as soon as they were made aware of it.

I remember being a kid and a bird took a dump on me. My grandfather told me to be glad cows don’t fly. Maybe they do !

When I was in high school I was walking back to my parent’s house. I was two blocks away when I felt something wet on my shoulder. Sure enough a bird had taken a dump on me. I just remember being so angry and I practically ran back home the rest of the way.

Man dies after hopping subway turnstile in Queens

A man died after jumping a turnstile and falling onto the concrete at a Queens subway station Sunday, and police were investigating if he took a fatal fall evading the fare, police and sources said.

Police responding to a 911 call of an unconscious man at the Forest Hills-71st Ave. train station in Forest Hills found the 28-year-old man unresponsive on the mezzanine level around 6:45 a.m.

Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Police believe he died after he fell onto the concrete following the leap over the turnstile, police and sources said.

Surveillance footage from the station caught the man’s fatal fall, the sources said.

The city medical examiner will determine his exact cause of death.

The victim’s name was not immediately released.

Nirvana's famous naked baby SUES band for child pornography: Man - now aged 30 - who appeared on iconic cover of 1991 Nevermind album claims $2.5m damages for being 'exploited as a minor'

Nirvana and the estate of Kurt Cobain (inset) are being sued by Spencer Elden, 30, (right) a man who was the baby seen on the group's Nevermind album cover in 1991 (left). In court documents reviewed by CBSLA, filed in Los Angeles federal court, Elden is claiming $2.5 million in damages after alleged that band members, record companies and creative personnel had 'trafficked' his image for profit. Elden, a Los Angeles native, said that his 'identity and legal name are forever tied to the commercial sexual exploitation he experienced as a minor which has been distributed and sold worldwide from the time he was a baby to the present day.' Nevermind sold more than 30 million for Geffen Records, and launched the grunge music genre.
