Deadly Wuhan Coronavirus

Latest COVID19 incarnation "Omicron" seem more in the vaccinated than the unvaccinated.

"Omicron" more in the vaccinated than UNvaccinated
That's not necessarily so (that the vaccinated are 'driving' Omicron infection, in the words of the video creator).

The same data also show that an Omicron positive result is more likely in those with previous Covid infection too. Applying the same reasoning as the creator of the video, we can conclude that prior infected are 'driving' Omicron infection also. If it is a point against vaccination, then it is also one against 'natural immunity'.

What is true is that if you have not been vaccinated, you are vastly more likely to end up in an ICU if you are infected with Covid, blocking a bed for someone else who might need it.

London doctor says 'nine in 10 ICU patients are unvaccinated'

That's not necessarily so. This analysis assumes that those who are tested are a random sample of the whole. It is conceivably true that those who have had more vaccine doses listen more to advice about coming forward for testing, whereas those with fewer, or no, doses of vaccines are less conscientious and can't be bothered. Anti-vaxxer views seems to correlate, in my observation, with sentiments such as "Omicron is just a cold". Is someone of that view likely to go for testing because they have cold-like symptoms?

It seems there is a doctor out there to back up every opinion.

What I know is that I am fine. I know that the other people I have spent time with who are not vaccinated are fine and I also know that we can spend time together, for example in a car without masks, and we are still fine. When I go to the grocery store, I last about 10 minutes wearing a mask before I am hyperventilating, dizzy, shaking and feeling like I am ready to collapse and so are the others that I am with. I thought it was just me but, no one is suppose to breathe on a regular basis with their nose and mouth covered. I suppose it is fine if you are standing still or sitting at a desk otherwise it's not good for anyone and it does not keep anyone more protected from a virus.

Just like I know that if I look out the window and see blue skies and sunshine, it does not mean that I can go out without a coat when it's -30C. So, I wish people would start using logic and common sense instead living in fear and panic.

And for pity sake stop pissing on us and say that it's raining.

I think it is a crime the way free will is being treated. The way people are being ostracized for choosing any alternative other than shooting chemicals into their body that don't even prevent the spread.

The vaccinated are the ones running wild out there. Exhibit A: https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/shopping/trafford-centre-shoppers-

I would never stand in line with a bunch of people, some in masks, some not vaccinated for over an hour to save a few dollars during a pandemic if I feared for my life. Yet some of these same people are the first to shame others for not following the rules and getting jabbed and wearing masks.

We, the unvaccinated are staying home unless we need to shop and even then it's in masks and using common sense, if I go near someone I know I will be "Karened" so, I practice social distancing when in public. I follow the rules, when in public. But, I never forget to say please and thank you and I never cry wolf because someone stood less than 6 feet from me for a moment when we were both shopping in the same isle.

I think in regards to Omicron, it doesn't matter if someone is vaccinated or has had a previous infection, this variant is going to spread through the population without prejudice...

There is this new book written by a writer and a scientist that is trying to trace source of COVID:

Viral: The Search for the Origin of COVID-19

Book lists four suspicious indicators that are normally preceding all natural epidemics:

1. no infected market animals or wildlife,
2. no chains of early cases in travellers to the city,
3. no smouldering epidemic in a rural area,
4. no rapid adaptation of the virus to its new host—human beings.

And book claims that none of these precedeed appearance of COVID. Possible explanation is that it was men made.

But we have seen wildlife infected with Covid-19, deer, minks, ferrets, gorillas, and big cats for instance, although the latter 4 were in captivity...

I'm going to order this book, looks like an interesting read...

This pandemic is making some people crazy, or the craziness was already present in some people and the pandemic brought it out...

Farcical moment foul-mouthed 'Karen' attacks and spits at man, 80, for not wearing a mask while eating on Delta flight - even though SHE wasn't wearing one either! FBI arrests her for attacking passengers AND crew

Delta passenger Patricia Cornwall was arrested by the FBI on Thursday after getting in a violent altercation with a male passenger for not putting his mask on after departing from Tampa. The older male passenger had been eating at the time before he was approached by Cornwall to 'mask up' - even though she wasn't wearing hers either. The pair shouted expletives at each other with Cornwall hitting, scratching and spitting at him during the altercation. She was then pulled to the back of the plane by crew members and other passengers where she was detained for the remainder of the flight. Cornwall was taken into custody when the plane reached Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Other passengers and flight crew members reported also being injured as a result of the attack.

I think it is rather that there was no natural reservoir of infected animals found, despite the observed readiness of the virus to infect animals.

Yes you're right, the infected animals I mentioned became infected because of human infections that occurred first, but we should have seen natural animal infections before the virus jumped to humans and we did not see that...So there was no viral jump to humans from animals....

Would this be a case example that you were referring to?...In general this pandemic has caused more deaths because of the surge in covid related hospitalizations...If the pandemic did not exist this man would likely have survived...

Man dies after a 15-day wait for a medical center bed. His survivors blame the COVID surge

Customers are flooding Yankee Candle's Amazon reviews with claims that the candles have no scent, but the surge in Omicron cases may be to blame

Yankee Candle reviews on Amazon may be the latest indicator of COVID's surge nationwide.

Some customers who recently purchased from the scented-candle brand using Amazon are flooding the site with negative reviews that say the candles have a barely noticeable scent or no scent at all. While many reviewers gave the candles five stars and described a strong scent reminiscent of Christmas trees, others said they couldn't smell anything or could only smell burning wax.

"I've bought this candle before, and the fragrance would fill the room. This one barely has a scent. Boo," said one December 20 review for Yankee Candle's balsam and cedar scent.

"No scent whatsoever unless you face-plant into the glass vessel. Burned it for eight hours and, ta-da, NO fragrance," another reviewer wrote on December 19.

But the candles may not be the problem. Those customers may have lost their sense of smell, a symptom of COVID-19.

....and when DT said it should be handled at a state level with federal assistance because South Dakota and New York are different he was vilified, there was hair pulling, shrieking, he was accused of witchcraft and sodomozing barn animals.

Well, I made that last part up but you get the idea.

My niece and her husband are surgical nurses and have nothing whatsoever to do with covid yet they have been considered 'the source' for expert information by various other members of my family based on that. I have listened carefully to what they have been saying and it's completely anecdotal, embellished upon retelling, and all sourced from someone else doing the same thing. Their adherence to masking, any sort of mandate depends entirely on their mood. Since it's family I'll call it 'confusion' instead of complete horseshit.

Meanwhile, I spent weeks and months visiting the biggest hospital in the area's covid ward on a daily basis plus a nursing home and guess what ? It looked very different than the pictures being portrayed. Jesus, my mother-in-law spent 18 hours on a gurney in a hallway at NY Presbyterian for a heart attack before covid, so when I hear about them being overloaded keep things like that in mind. That's the way it normally is.

I wonder when they dust off the pics of the temporary morgue outside Elmhurst Hospital so we can see those over and over and over and over again ....... Fortunately we have all those Ford ventilators and the USNS Comfort standing by ....

Ludicrously huge difference in estimates makes it difficult to believe their numbers in general.

CDC significantly reduces estimate of omicron prevalence in US

The CDC significantly reduced its estimate for how prevalent the omicron variant of COVID-19 is in the United States on Tuesday, saying that the new variant was only responsible for 22.5% of new cases in the week that ended Dec. 18, not the alarming 73.2% that it had originally estimated last week.

Yeah and they do that a week before Xmas too...Just more fear-mongering and makes me suspect its intentional to keep the Covid fear narrative going to continue feeding them the illusion of control...Fauci is a power hungry madman too, he was all over the news last weekend dictating what the airlines should and should not be doing, its sickening...
