Just draw some lines and dots on hand with metallic marker.. metallic marker seems to make good temporary tattoos..

Guys! I’ve got a pretty strange question but still: do you take off your shoes at home? And if you do, do you wear slippers or what! I am just curious.

Yes, I don't wear shoes in the house, I take them off at the door 90% of the time...If I'm carrying groceries or something I'll finish that then take shoes off...I have house shoes I wear, not really slippers, a slip on shoe though that's only worn in the house or i wear socks in the house...I have hardwood floors except the bedroom which is carpet...

Awesome! Thanks for your answer! I was told it was a normal thing for your culture to keep wearing shoes in the house. We are all different but I thought how strange it was, as people live in the clean apartments and houses, they have kids and etc. why would they wear their dirty shoes?

And if you invite guests, then what?

My family always took shoes off when I was a child, I have lived that way all my life no matter where I've lived in North or South America...Any guests, friends, family, or strangers are requested to take their shoes off too...I have known many Americans in my travels around the country that take shoes off in the house or wear house slippers...Its more common here than is rumoured...

I see! It’s nice to hear it actually! Then my guests were just not that polite. LOL

And if you’re invited to a party, I don’t know,Xmas Eve, anything.., are you supposed to bring any food or drinks with you!

What happened with your guests?...

Personally I always bring something to a party or dinner or many types of gatherings, I think it's polite, if it's a dinner or party I'll bring a bottle of red wine that fits with the food being served...If the host explicitly says not to bring anything I'll bring something but leave it in my car just in case something changes lol...

Nice! So you do not come empty-handed.
I also usually bring a cake and a bottle of wine. Or sometimes we can order anything and pay together.

Well, my guests told me that wearing shoes in the house is a pretty normal thing. So I had to clean all the apartment later. I got tired and mad lol

I would feel like I'm rude and imposing upon their hospitality if I came empty handed...If it's an outdoor event loke at a park and a group was cooking out I'll bring a dish of something to eat and some drinks like lemonade or tea...

If I was invited out to dinner and someone else paid I'll leave a tip even if the host also left a tip, I'll put a tip on the table as we're leaving...

My mother had a white carpet in a previous house she lived in and let my brother walk in with his shoes on and she had to get the carpet cleaned, he had a little bit of red clay on one shoe and made a big mess when he walked across that beautiful white carpet lol...

It's a balancing act this week, work demands are heightened more than normal, I think because of a short week next week for holidays, I have a couple projects going on at home I need to finish and wanting to spend more time here...lol

My ex wife's best friends Mum loll
When we visited her she had a really flash house. Out of courtesy I would go to take my shoes off out of what I believed to be good manners. She always was utterly insistent on visitors NOT taking their shoes off.
Eventually it got the better of me and I asked why, with such a flash house did she insist visitors keep their shoes on.
She laughed and said thats a simple thing to answer.
What would you rather pick up, a handful of healthy garden dirt, or, someones smelly sweaty socks.
She said dirt vacuums and cleans off easy enough and is healthy.
However she said the last thing I want is peoples sweaty feet moisture on her carpet.
Made perfect sense when she explained it that way.
And
Her carpet was pristine.

Got a muscle fever as big as a house from yesterday's work. They opened up an old dusty store house and I carried these damned heavy wooden plates which have blades on them to another place. Then I hit my head on a metal rod while standing up. Then they taught me how to use a big saw machine and got a steel glove for it, hope I won't lose a finger :mad8:

I had this really weird thing happen last night while asleep , there was a lightning storm in my head. It really freaked me instead of a dream there are all these ultra bright flashes going off in it and this huge buzzing noise after some praying that I wasn't going to die I woke up. Phew never had that happen before. I did think I was being abducted as I have seen a light in my room at night always in the same spot in the corner near the window. No cars here ,no traffic , so not sure what's going on. Freaky. Going to sleep with the light on tonight.
