SWEDISH MILITARY Recruiting people (conscription)

As many of you probably know, the swedish military is collecting people who have turned 18 and of course
so did I. About a few weeks ago I've received a letter from the military with a username & password to login on their website and answer questions.

On the letter they have mentioned that the results will be published at the end of may and IF one is called and doesn't go, he/she will face consequences such ass paying or maybe even jail so it is not by free will. However I came here to see why you think that the Swedish military is recruiting people. It has been a neutral country for many years, so what do you think they are worried about?

I had this same issue before here when I was 18. The good part is that I wasn't chosen maybe because of my broken leg. For us here in Malaysia it's only for 6 months, some of my friends who got chosen had to join it. This training stuff is a waste of time imo.

Thankfully, I don't have any broken bones :D
It's 9 to 11 months here.

I dont think it's a waste of time; as everything else, this also has something positive in it for everyone who joins; it will improve their CV for the future and some survival skills could be useful someday :D .

Lol,, I got a broken bone from my time there...

I think you should consider doing it. Choose the navy..

Our so called 'defence forces' are nothing like they were some 40 - 50 years ago.. So very little left..

Sheppard, Are you going to save this country ??

and Sweden barely supports its own military how is it not neutral?

When I was a conscript it was EXACTLY like the ^^ image above

If you only need training --> Boy scouts ...
