I think my best analogy is like this.
A woman operates on the Apple Mac OS, fantastic, elegant, pretty to look at, smart, intuitive, and many things good.
Blokes Operate on Unix/Linux. Somewhat obscure and hard to understand, very non intuitive, but a hell of a good OS if you get your head round it.
But try to get a Unix Box to talk to a Mac!!!!

(Shush up tech heads, It is an analogy, I know Mac runs on Linux
)But sadly I am a very old outdated version of Linux that does not have the ability to talk to a mac in any way they may want to take me home and merger operating systems.
No ones fault I suppose, just too many syntax errors
Sadly though because of my stupid brain and the incorruptibility between operating systems we always end up at the catch statement
