Metanoia
Scored this book today at the University they were giving them away for free, deleting their older books . Its a 1978 reprint of the 1905 original by James Breasted : Egypt A Journey Through the Land of the Pharaohs. Full of stereographs. They were just throwing them out I got quite a few of them and stuck them in my locker, they were to heavy to carry all of them home.

Our choice Al Gore
A surprise, was expecting a dry sermon but it's a fascinating look at the energy area from an engineering perspective.
Learnt a lot
'Motors use 3/4 of industrial electricity .. the larger old electric motors can often be replaced with new, more efficient motors that produce savings that exceed their purchase price in only a few weeks'

The Humanoids, Charles Bowen
Interesting survey of over 200 reports of alien landings

Sifting through the many accounts there seem to be certain patterns.
It seems after the 1940s every David Attenborough type within 100 light years came to study. There is, it appears, only one active technology permitted to be used against us, a beam that disables movement (not autonomic functions).

How might this work?
When we sleep, to allow dreams, the body disconnects motor control. Could it be that pathway that is being manipulated?
In one account, a frozen person was able to move again after catching his hand, so it does not seem foolproof and we might be able to give them a scare by learning a technique to awaken ourselves.

Also petrol cars usually cut out but most diesel do not, suggesting the propulsion used is generating powerful EM. Why can that not be tracked?

The sudden plethora of visits suggests we were not previously on the map.
A puzzle as surely the technology out there would allow comprehensive detailing.
Might it be indicative of two broad levels of technological development, FLT (recent visits from nearby) and higher level inter dimensional cultures.

Currently on the Nergal and Ereshkigal chapters. I highly recommend if you want more insight on Mesopotamian mythology that isn't Sitchin fanfiction. Do be warned, since it's translated from cuneiform, there are plenty of broken and missing sections. Still very interesting, nevertheless.

Both books by Robert Damon Schneck, The President's Vampire and Mrs. Wakeman vs. The AntiChrist, come highly recommended from me. They're about weird things that happened in U.S. history, sort of alt-history except it really happened, and Forteana (sp?).

The first book, The President's Vampire, includes the experience that the movie The Bye-Bye Man was very, very, loosely based on -- I haven't seen the movie, but I'm assuming the studio took lots of liberties.

Robert's a great guy, he's on FB as the Historian of the Strange; he's been on Coast to Coast, Project Archivist, and several other podcasts. He's an amazing historian and writer. I can't recommend his work enough.

Walking Among Us: The Alien Plan to Control Humanity by David M. Jacobs

In his 1998 book, The Threat, Jacobs uncovered disconcerting reports about aliens plans for the future of Earth. He reported that a "change" is coming; a future when very human-like hybrids would intermingle with humans in everyday life. "Soon we will all be together," the aliens said. "Soon everyone will be happy and everyone will know his place."

This book examines a disturbing phenomenon that Jacobs began noticing in 2003. The alien integration action plan has kicked into high gear. The incidents of alien abductions have accelerated as have occurrences of alien involvement in everyday human life. A silent and insidious invasion has begun. Alien hybrids have moved into your neighborhood and into your workplace. They have been trained by human abductees to "pass," to blend in to society, to appear as normal as your next door neighbor

And another thing ...

Reading books on my phone is very convenient but I have zero retention. Can't even remember what I've read half the time for some reason. I just looked through it and had to say "oh yeah" a few times. When I'm done it's like pulling your hand out of a bucket of water for all the impression it makes.

I had to give the rods & cones a break and go back to paper.

Interesting, do you get a similar effect with E ink devices that do not constantly refresh?
Perhaps refreshes weary the visual system, sometimes I 'wake up' after surfing the net.
