Questions about WICCA

Rikki

High Priestess
have been asked questions about my faith. I open this topic to answer any questions concerning WICCA.

1. Do you worship Satan? This is the most common question I receive.

NO. Satan is a creation of the Christian faith. There are many dark and negative spirits. They identify themselves as the summoner wishes. If you use a Ouija board. And think you are talking to grandma then the entity will use that name. Likewise with “Satan”

2. who or what do you worship?

WICCA teaches a dualstic God/Goddess. The male is the Horned God Also known as Herne the Hunter. The Goddess has three aspects the maiden the mother and the crone. Each aspect is a stage of the life of a woman. My daughter has chosen to follow the Maiden due to her youth. I upon the birth of my first children follow the Mother.

3.Do you cast spells?

Yes. BUT, we take care in that we send out. The law of three applies in every action. However the offensive stereotype of a wart covered witch hovering over a cauldron is incorrect. And we do not think we can just use a ritual to create something from nothing. A spell can help you in your daily walk. But is not a crutch. A spell can help you gain confidence to make money for example. But you just can’t preform a ritual and expect money to appear out of nowhere!

4. do you worship nude?

The term is Skyclad a way to connect with nature. You present your self to the Goddess as you were when you were born. Being skyclad is not a requirement. My daughter has yet to preform a ritual in this manner. A simple robe is proper in all worship. Being a high priestess I always conduct rituals skyclad. As the leader of the coven I must present myself to the Goddess in a manner that is pleasing to her.

5. Do your Rituals involve sex or orgies?

This is a common misconception. The answer is NO. WICCA teaches sexual freedom you have sex with how you wish as long as you have consent and obey all laws. WICCA is a nature based faith and there is a fertility aspect to it.. Rituals have little to no sexual aspect to them. There is sex magic. However such is oath sworn secrets and this site is not a place to discuss the ritual. However I will say that I have had sex with no one other than my husband. What other members of the coven do sexually is not my business and as long as laws are not broken. My daughter and Angie are in a relationship. However until age of consent is reached Physical love is not allowed. However I taught her the ways of love of the soul. It is the same with my other daughter who did not enter the faith.

I will post other answers as my time permits. Please ask me anything concerning my faith if it is not an oath bound secret I will answer.

Blessed Be

what's the difference between Wicca and witchcraft?
Very simple, Witchcraft does worship Satan, that is the source of their power. People may debate this as they see fit, But to be a legitimate witch yeah. you need to worship Satan. That's literally how that plays out, Wiccans draw their power from basically the universe regarding that there are more powerful possible deities, They reference a Goddess often, But it's not based in Judeochristianity as witchcraft is. In short, Witches get their power from Lucifer Satan, While Wiccans, The origin of Wiccanism is based on medicine, They originally were spiritual healers.

There are greater differences between Wiccans and witches. In my experience, the greatest of these differences tend to be in the magic and spells they use, Most Wiccans won't dabble in spells that could harm someone else, Though they are versed in those spells, While witches have generally more freedom with the spells they use. But they also observe the three-fold law.

People will judge Wiccans and witches as they see fit, However, I have met very kind and loving witches that only wish positivity love and good health on others, To clarify this, The Wiccan does not worship Satan, The Witch does, However, The Story of Who Satan is, And what Satan stands for and what kind of diety lucifer is, Is vastly different in the satanic bible.

Off shot personal opinion, This is just opinion, A witch can be more powerful and more of a threat than a Wiccan, You wouldn't want to piss a witch off, While it's not really advised to piss off a Wiccan either. Honestly though, It's not really wise to go around pissing anyone off lol

what's the difference between wicca and witchcraft?
WICCA : Is the name of our faith. Like "the Lutheran church" this article sums up the difference between WICCA and "witchcraft."
What is Wicca?

Now let us move on to "Satan" again. There are those who practice Satanic Witchcraft. These do not follow the Three fold law. While those who practice this are cast out for association from WICCA. The stigma is deep. Any one can call themselves a witch. I do not use the term. The moment I act in my capacity I expect to be called "High Priestess Victoria"
My daughter has taken to the title "Priestess Kaitlin "
But in day to day interactions I just use Rikki my childhood nickname I favor.
The wonder of WICCA is we do not Believe. We live, we experience , and we grow. I have interactions with nature sprits. Seen the fay with my own eyes. And have a deep intimate love for the goddess. I have seen her manifest. I seen her light her love for us all. I felt her sadness in the way we treat the world she gave us.
"Satan is not real he is a creation. Christians are quick to point out that Pan the sprit of music looks like "Satan". The reason is simple. and perhaps two fold. the first is that Christians assigned the image of Pan to "Satan'.
The second is more dark and cunning. As I pointed out there are dark powers. They trick and fool us. They could with ease appear in the form of Pan and give the name "Satan" this is to form doubt and confusion.
It is my hope I answered well. It is also my hope I spawned more questions. Because we encourage questions!

I don't speak about it a lot, My mother and grandmother were witches, My mom was even a priestess, Later on, my mother became a Wiccan. Sorry for the lack of detail in my posts, However, I was given the choice and chose not to be a Witch or Wiccan, So it's rather wrong for me to speak about it in detail.

interesting seeing different cultures here in this forum
my personal view of the world is quite..... well.... peculiar:
there are 2 entities in this dimension :
the progenitor entity or as most people call him god, he is the entity wich created this universe, he has no form, though for whatever reason i imagine him to be a giant pulsating torus of energy
and then there is the cosmic trickster (AKA the fortean creator,AKA the lord of the humanoids [yes i named my username after him, LOL]) a bizzare entity wich is the originator of all paranormal or fortean phenomena
there are probally other entities, but they aren't as commonly observed as the above

My next answer
What is the difference Between a Priestess and a High Priestess?
High Priestess Heather departed this world on April 22nd 2013. After a period of mourning in our coven The coven all placed hands upon me they asked "Lead us." I endured a 12 hour fast in a Ho Chunk sweat lodge. then I went and sought solace. The Goddess came to me. I was called. I lead the next ritual.
I lead the coven I stand before the Goddess. But I am no greater then the rest of the coven. I serve I humble my self. It is I who must by my example lead.

I must show each. do well. Help others. Understand and apply the teachings of the Goddess in every way of my life. A priestess must do these things. But I must be an example.
I say this if Pope Frances walked as I do this would truly be a better world.

Question
Does a coven have to have 13 members to be "Official" ?
Again a common misconception. There is no official sanctioning to our gatherings. The coven I lead has 20 members.
We also keep contacts with other covens. In cross plains Wisconsin High priestess Lynn has a coven of 8. Relations are good but I have heard of disagreements between covens. When this happens several High priestess gather with the covens in questions and compromise is sought.

No no no gods no.

Not all witches worship Satan. Some do, but most don't. Witches have been around long before the invention of the Abrahamic devil. I suppose you could argue the pagan faiths that came before did hold belief in negative entities and gods; however not to the extent of the devil.

And despite what many beginner books like to claim, Wicca is not an ancient religion. It was invented by Gerald Gardner in the 50s. While he was inspired by a variety of past faiths, it was never an ancient religion. Annnnd keep in mind the three-fold law, as well as the "do no harm" mantra, is a purely a Wiccan invention. Many witches don't follow it

I consider myself a dabbler in witchcraft. I call upon the Dii Consentes and friends. I guess I'm a Satanist lmao

You are correct. But please be careful. Many dark powers answer to the name "Satan." You may become one such Power's plaything.

The shadow

The shadow knows!
so what is it like being married to a witch?
I get asked that more than I like. My answer is always the same. "So what is it like being married to a Catholic? or (insert faith here.) "
Rikki and I have been married for 17 years. Her faith is her's. I have my own view on faith. I keep an open mind. And who am I to stand between her and her goddess.
Our marriage is built on love trust and respect. We taught our kids to find the truth in faith. At 16 only one has made a clear choice.
So again what is it like being married to a witch?
Rikki is my better half. My guide. My rock.
My wife said I am her world. I only can echo that.

I understand. Thank you Rikki, for your concern.

You are most welcome. I will relate a recent event to help you understand.
Two of my eldest daughters friends used a Ouija board to try to talk to a dead relative. Kate warned them not to do it. After the session where shadows moved on the wall and it got cold in the room, the two in separate dwellings began to have poltergeist activity. My daughter Kate went to one house and did a ritual of sealing. This put an end to the activity. However the other gals parents became moody and sullen. They would not allow Kate or Myself to visit. The victim herself is tormented by Poltergeist activity. Add to it that the parents seem to have an indwelling by at least one entity. Kate Gave her a ward but without a removal I fear the situation may become worse.

Rikki, I really enjoy reading your posts and learning about your faith. I am a Methodist Christian (by choice), but I enjoy studying other belief systems. I have known a fair number of Wiccans over the years, it is more common than you would suspect even in a Bible Belt state such as Kentucky. I have noticed that female practitioners usually receive it from mom, grandma, aunt, or another female relative. Men usually enter it on their own, or because of a wife or girlfriend. A large percentage of people who converted to Wicca grew up with more mainstream religions with ecstatic and/or mystical characteristics such as Pentecostal or Catholic Christianity.

Thank you so much! No faith is misunderstood so greatly as WICCA. Latter day saints and Scientologist claim to be misunderstood as much as WICCA but both are not true faiths.
My oldest daughter followed me into the faith. On August 26th as a mark of trust I allowed her to lead the drawing down. During the rituals she experienced an Indwelling of the Goddess. This event is rare, I only have in my seeking's had 3 full indwelling's. Those who experience it are changed forever. I was and now so has Kate.

What other faiths have you studied? what started you out on the path of Wiccanism?

Rikki

High Priestess
The Goddess placed wisdom all faiths. I studied most of the main faiths of the world. I find peace and truth in Buddhism.
After 14 turns upon the wheel of Life The Dali Lamia has reached a state of high enlightenment. The next Dali Lamia the 15th will have a different title. Maitreya. the world teacher. He will bring the faiths of the world as one. his 16th turn shall be his last. it will be then his soul shall become as Christ. Only once has a soul reached this level of advancement within the lodge of Karma.
I know one here that is advancing on that path but I sense it will take many lifetimes to achieve such a state.
My path started when I was 15 A woman who lived nearby was shunned. Everyone disliked her. Her name was Heather. I saw her sitting on her porch just looking out. I said hello. she was surprised. I made it a point to say hello each time I saw her. In time Hello became more. I befriended her I received some scorn. "She is a witch." I was told. I asked her about it. she gave a cackle and did a "I will get you and your little dog to!" she just asked "do you love the world?" I said yes!
she told me she would teach me about the world. My fist lesson I felt the LIFE of a tree it was a moment my life changed.
I grew up a catholic. I felt no life no power in that church. If I go to one with my parents I sense its is empty. But at last I saw the truth. I saw the door open and those things that I taught were Lies for children were real! With Heather I saw them for the fist time. knew nature. The world. then and only then was I brought into the craft. Heather stood before me now as she truly was High Priestess Heather. My initiation into the coven was only a small step. Heather was my mentor ,my guide, My sister. And in time My lover. my husband knows about this. It was long ago before we met. High Priestess Heather Died of cancer. She was 47. I was called to be the next High Priestess. My daughters Kate and to some extent Debbie have seen some of the things that I see. While in Rome A ghost lead them to place flowers on a grave. I think my husband spoke of this here. Each has reacted to events around them. Kate saw and understood if she wished to learn then she needed to come to the source. Kate followed me into the faith. having a deep and powerful love for the Goddess. Debbie having seen the same things went to books. Went to my husband. She wants to understand just as much as her sister. But she is like Bob her eyes are shut to the way of nature.
For me it is a path Do you pray to a dead carved stone? Or seek truth within your self? Do you sing pointless songs? Or find peace in meditation? Will you place your faith in a church run by men who prey on children? Or find the truth that is all around us. for me the choice is clear.
Blessed Be
