I don't keep birds and that's why and gold fish I have lost a few of them also. The only thing I had that didn't die was a dog . Well he did die but not for years. My cats have all had a very bad track record most died before they got to 2 years old . I don't mind if they live for some years and have a good time but dying like mine did was just to much. Are you getting another bird later maybe ?

I don't think I will, at least not anytime soon. I have three other birds still, so my flock isn't totally empty :)

... had an appointment at what I thought was 2pm and when I arrived just before 1.30pm and looked at the bit of paper I had scribbled the time and address on I realised it was for 3pm...

So I sat from 1.30pm to 2.45pm on a low brick fence, under a tree in front of an art gallery watching the traffic go past and made patterns on the dirt patches between the grass behind the fence I was sitting on using little sticks and pebbles... and then I watched some people walk past.... and some more traffic....

... and next thing I knew, it was time for my appointment...

I like to arrive at any appointments early, but not that early...I once took a friend in to the city for traffic court one morning, I waited from 8am until after 2pm for him to come out, he was almost the last one called...

I've stayed off of Facebook for about 3 months but today I went to the newsfeed and made some comments. I grew up in military towns and I've had a lot of military people in my family. I'm all for free speech. Even if I don't agree with it, I can respect the other guy's right to say it but the whole thing with the kneeling during the national anthem at football games is too much for me. I was brought up to believe you respect the flag and the anthem regardless of your political views. I said some things that I probably shouldn't have. There's just too many people preaching BS right now.

There's too much nonsense going on, I think every one of those who are being paid millions should be suspended or fired, this isn't free speech they are showing, they are ignorant fools...I'm glad I don't watch sports...

Don't we have a music thread somewhere? That's the first thing. The other thing is when the nonsense gets going I turn it off.

I've hardly logged into Facebook for months now. Only go there to check messages and sometimes check my local Groups for local information.

Basically though, for me anyway, Facebook has become too political, a boring place with the same old crap memes, fake news and a lot of whining posted again and again creating some nasty division amongst people and friends... Truely, how many pictures of people's selfies, their kids, cats, dogs and food they eat daily do you really want to see day after day after day?

Then there's the hissy fits, comments like, 'If you agree with (bla bla bla) then I want nothing to do with you and remove yourself from my Friends list right now'... 'If I see you disagree with (bla bla bla) I will block you and remove you from my Facebook'... Strange type of powerplay - what happened to accepting your family and friends for who they are, warts and all?

Years ago people kept a Diary and if someone read it they'd get upset, but these days they use Facebook same like a Diary and if noone reads it they get upset... can't win... lol...

The way I see it, the NFL is a business, the players are the employees, and the fans are the customers. If Joe Sixpack went to his job and blew off the customers and kept making political comments he would be fired on the spot.

For some reason, only my liberal friends are posting comments these days on the newsfeed. Conservative and moderate friends seem to be staying away. Getting really tired of the flaming political posts.

My thoughts exactly.

I rarely use my Facebook, mainly because I can't tolerate the people on there. There are much better ways to spend my time than scrolling through regurgitated memes and pointless political fights.

My biggest surprise when I started using Facebook was how different some people I know in everyday life can be when using Facebook. Sometimes it's like they are almost a 'different' person than the one you thought you knew.

I have one local friend who is pretty good to be with in everyday life but on Facebook she becomes a control freak, a radical political nasty tryant insisting everyone agrees with her - there's no reasoning with her. She blocks and unfriends heaps of people as well as accumulates a constantly changing large list of Friends (I gather mostly from the local Political and local Social groups she belongs to).

She's allowed it affect her everyday life in that she has alienated quite a number of her everyday friends and family and has stopped all communication with them, something which never happened before she joined Facebook. Though, as a result it does make me a little wary of her these days, puts me off a bit.

Then there's one of my sisters. I get on well with both my sisters and we are close and loyal to each other, I love them to bits... However, one of them is big on posting way too many nice looking, you can see specially selected selfies which somewhat surprised me... I mentioned it to my mum and she said, 'That sounds normal, she always liked looking at photos of herself ever since she could first hold them and realise they were pictures of her'... oh well, that puts it into perspective... lol...

It's the Polish word for Music...:)

Oh but of course....where was my head? Polish is of course our second language here.
I just checked ....Muzyka is what Google Traslate came up with. So you're correct

Where as in Chinese....
音樂 Yīnyuè

Or, in Amharic;the Semitic language descended from Ge'ez that is the official language of Ethiopia.
Amharic is the second-most widely spoken Semitic language in the world after Arabic.

ሙዚቃ muzīk’a

Or as in Hebrew
מוּסִיקָה
