Police have launched a probe after a person jumped into the 9/11 North Tower Memorial.The person survived the leap, diving into the 45ft reflecting pool, which was briefly cordoned off, according to the New York Times.
Officials told the Times that the jumper was a relative of a 9/11 victim who was 'briefly granted access to the restricted area at the plaza-level.'
They had been looking at their loved one's name on the memorial, with the area reopening a short time later.
Security officials reportedly told the Times the relative survived the leap into the 18-inch deep water, and complained of back pain.

Those were real planes that hit those towers - we have friends and acquaintances that were inside them when they hit. A teacher I know was in the Verizon building just next door who was very descriptive. A coworker of mine was on the Tappan Zee Bridge at the time and actually saw one of the planes at dangerously low altitude and extreme speed follow the Hudson down, just like they said. My wife and I knew people who died in those towers. This is one of those times where we remember exactly where we were and what we were doing at the time.
It wasn't CGI, it wasn't missile it was exactly what it appeared to be; our fully fueled airliners piloted by Saudis and that's the thing nobody wants to talk about.
The other conspiracy theory that still floats around is that damned Hudson Valley Wave of UFOs. Jabberwocky, pure horseshit.

Me being a structural engineer by education, I've seen several interviews with more prominent structural engineers than myself, who did calculations and simulations etc., and they all said that passenger airliner can not bring down a skyscraper. Reason is very simple, skyscrapers are built to stand horizontal forces from winds that are, when summed up over whole face of skyscraper, an order of magnitude bigger then force produced by a single airliner. Twice so, because I would expect that are around estuary of Hudson river must be having extremely strong winds, since its facing an open ocean. So, these winds have a whole ocean behind themselves to pick up speed.
One can count that as science, not opinion.

But horizontal force from the crashes was not the mechanism of collapse. Visibly, because the impacts did not induce significant horizontal movement of the towers. Further, no official account of the collapse of the towers claims that this was the mechanism of collapse, so what you wrote is irrelevant. The towers collapsed due to the force of gravity, and the reason was the weakening of structural steel members due to heating from fire. This mechanism of collapse has been observed in many steel structures that have collapsed in fire, and not just the Twin Towers.

I wasn't there but my best friend was and actually witnessed the crash and subsequent events, had to flee the dust and debris and choked on it. My wife's lifelong friend from childhood was inside one of the towers and felt the impact and was lucky enough to escape because he instantly left afterward and didn't wait to be told.
Armchair conspiracy theory vs live witnesses. If you believe people who say they saw UFOs and base theories on that alone why in one of God's nine billion names name would you not listen to the thousands of eyewitnesses at WTC?
