A controversial video.

I'm not really familiar with the UFO sightings in the Hudson Valley... I haven't heard of it before.
@KL 123 if you are interested here's something that got me to join AE. That link is just to a thread here on AE, if you can't follow it just use the title in the search bar.

There was a very famous 'UFO wave' right where I live that was generated by, among other things, hysteria much like what we are seeing now. No ET, no UFOs except in one or two very specific instances that were virtually ignored much to my irritation. I know some will disagree with that but I live here and am not speculating, it was quite real and in person for me.

Tons of stuff in there, have a look. J Allen Hynek got involved, a book was written. It's all here in AE and you should be able to access it

I've heard of J Allen Hynek! He was a skeptic in the early days and later became a UFO researcher. I've seen some of his deeds introduced in documentaries. Okay, I'll check out the thing you mentioned later.

By the way, do you know any other alien UFO forums or websites? Could you recommend some to me? I feel that there don't seem to be many members in AE...

The holidays may have something to do with that. Another member @Todd Feinman has had some really High Strange close range encounters. He may well tune in at some point, IDK.

Good question. Frankly no, I am not aware of any such reports here in the States. Have they fallen by the wayside like late night vehicle stalls and such? I suspect so.

Regardless, IMO cases like Ariel School and Pascaglola quite real. I am not 'throwing the baby out with the bath water' just suggesting that many reports have more to do with sociology than ufology.

Things tend to slow down during the political season when we have major elections as what we are going through currently with electing a different president and congressional members...Politics in America has been volatile these days, from the politicians to the voters...I've tried in the past to keep political discussions away from this forum because it does cause friction but it's difficult to do during major elections...

Perhaps many cases have been buried as well... Anyway, on the whole, in the 21st century, especially in the past decade, the number of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and alien abduction cases has indeed dropped sharply... In China, the Meng Zhaoguo case, the Cao Gong case (which was also an alien abduction case), and some suspected alien abduction cases that I've heard about among the people all happened in the last century. There are far fewer such cases that I've heard of in this century. However, I posted something the day before yesterday, which mentioned that a young man in Lankao County, Henan Province, China, was suspected of being abducted by aliens this year and witnessed that they seemed to be conducting experiments on others...

Alas, it seems that the number of UFO and alien encounters has decreased since the end of the Cold War, and this has been even more so in the 21st century. People in those days also envisioned that with the development of future technology, we could really communicate with the occupants in the flying saucers, and that people could build large bases on the moon... However, it seems that everything has become rather uncertain nowadays...

I can mark the precise point that our expectation of abductions took place. 1987 when this book was published.

Now ET doesn't have to wait until you are on a desolate road and then deactivate your car rather they can just bypass all that and show up in your house. Much like my in-laws and about as welcome - an equal pain in the ass although they don't use probes.

Only a few years earlier in 1975 this was what set our expectation, a TV movie called The UFO Incident which depicted Betty & Barney Hill's abduction experience. Notably the creatures do not match Betty's description and she said so herself quite openly when she was alive. That move scared the crap out of me as a kid.

It makes you wonder where the artist who came up with the cover for Communion got their inspiration doesn't it ? In fact I can think of a few other TV shows of that era they might've drawn upon.

It seems that in many alien abduction incidents, the people involved can only notice something is wrong when they repeatedly have the same dream and experience abnormal physical conditions. Otherwise, they wouldn't even know what had happened to them even if they had experienced it.

I don't beleive a CE3K is the same thing as an abduction.

Two of my favorite historical cases because they are outliers, they do not fit any previous patterns and the witnesses are credible.

One if the Lonnie Zamora incident on New Mexico in 1964 in which a police officer encountered a landed egg shaped craft with two little wee men in suits wandering around, They flew away in a roar of rockets and didn't abduct anyone.

The other is from Pascagoula, Mississippi 1973 in which two fishermen were abducted by, not to put too fine a point on it, scary-ass monsters the likes of which were never reported before or since.

Neither of those two fit the mould that later cases did, nor did we see the now commonly accepted alien types.

The abduction phenomenon seems to happen to the individual now, wherever they are and don't need to be out on an isolated road. I don't doubt there is something concrete at work that causes that but whether it's actually ET or not is speculative

The appearance of the aliens encountered in the Pascagoula incident was truly unique and different from those little gray aliens. As for the case in New Mexico in 1964, I once saw in a documentary or some other video that it might have been some college students playing a prank to fool that police officer...

It seems that in the alien encounter cases during the period from the 1950s to the 1970s, there was a great diversity of alien species. Probably after the 1980s, most of them were little gray aliens... Of course, I'm not denying the possibility of the existence of little gray aliens.
