Deadly Wuhan Coronavirus

North Korea did not vaccinate its population, rejecting doses offered through the WHO's Covax programme. So if its population is completely unvaccinated, and they have not had a significant outbreak of Covid to date, it is little wonder that omicron is spreading like wildfire there.

North Korea doesn't stand a chance against Covid, the NK leadership dwindled their window of opportunity to be prepared and now unfortunately the NK people will suffer for it...Covid is likely to be deadlier given the circumstances and overall health status of their population but the NK government will likely fudge the true numbers as has most countries in the world on some level...

Prepared how, Nivek? I don't think the vaccine would have made any difference.

I'm grateful that it is the Omicron virus that has overwhelmed them. That means the outcome will be as good as it can possibly be. Because if it had been the variant that I suffered or the next one which was Delta that attacked at this stage and overwhelmed them, the outcome may have wiped out the population. Although I must say that I can't see it being any different from any other population because the vaccine did not make a difference anywhere. I defy anyone to prove me wrong. They may say that the vaccine prevented most from becoming severely ill but they have no proof of that. I believe it played itself out just like mother nature intended.

North Korea does not have the medical infrastructure in place to handle a pandemic and their supplies are in short supply, it's likely their hospitals and clinics are already overwhelmed in the hotspots and many other people may not even go to the hospital...They could have accepted all and any help and supplies from WHO and other countries who offered assistance but refused...

Kim Jong-un orders Covid sufferers 'to gargle saltwater' after roasting 'irresponsible' healthcare officials and sending in the army as cases in North Korea pass a million and deaths spiral

Kim Jong-un has told North Korea's Covid sufferers to 'gargle' saltwater to treat the virus, according to state media, just hours after he chastised members of his Cabinet and health officials for their poor handling of the pandemic.

Last week brought the pariah state's first acknowledgment of an 'explosive' Covid outbreak, with experts warning it could devastate a country with limited medical supplies and no vaccine programme.

More than a million people have been sickened by what Pyongyang is referring to as 'fever', state media said, despite leader Kim ordering nationwide lockdowns in a bid to slow the spread of disease.

Drugs procured by the state were not reaching people quickly or accurately, Kim told an emergency politburo meeting on Sunday, before visiting pharmacies near the capital's Taedong River, state news agency KCNA said.

The failure to distribute medicine properly was 'because officials of the Cabinet and public health sector in charge of the supply have not rolled up their sleeves, not properly recognising the present crisis,' Kim said according to KCNA.

Kim ordered immediate deployment of the 'powerful forces' of the army's medical corps to 'stabilise the supply of medicines in Pyongyang City,' it added.

Kim has put himself front and centre of North Korea's disease response, overseeing near-daily emergency Politburo meetings on the outbreak, which he has said is causing 'great upheaval' in the country.

Although authorities had ordered distribution of national reserves of medicine, pharmacies were not well-equipped to perform their functions smoothly, Kim was reported as saying.

Among their shortcomings were a lack of adequate drug storage, salespeople unequipped with the proper sanitary clothing and hygiene in their surroundings falling short of standards, according to the pariah state's supreme leader.

North Korea has one of the world's worst healthcare systems, with poorly-equipped hospitals, few intensive care units, and no Covid treatment drugs or mass testing ability, experts say.

Virulent anti-vaxxer Eric Clapton, 76, who branded COVID vaccine rollout as 'mass formation hypnosis' falls sick with the virus and is forced to cancel shows

Eric Clapton, who claimed he had severe side effects from the vaccine, has cancelled shows in Zurich and Milan after contracting Covid while performing at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this month (pictured). A statement on his website said that 'intensive internal discussion' lead to the decision to cancel his next two shows in Zurich and Milan in the hope he would be fit for his show in Bologna on May 20. In January this year, the 76-year-old rocker slammed the vaccine rollout in an interview for The Real Music Observer Youtube channel and claimed subliminal messaging hidden in advertising led people to get jabbed.

Imagine the compliance with ingestible pills… Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla explains Pfizer's new tech to Davos crowd: "ingestible pills" - a pill with a tiny chip that send a wireless signal to relevant authorities when the pharmaceutical has been digested. "Imagine the compliance," he says.

Listen to what this woman says, especially at the end… They knew about the possibility of devastating side effects from the mRNA shots, and just removed those people from the trial to hide it.

Of course, one thing North Korea doesn't have is a host of idiots on various media outlets blatting pure tripe in a deliberate effort to amp everyone up as much as possible due to political motives. If it's a milder variant then it'll be an interesting comparison to see how NK fares compared to western nations filled with fat whiney entitled people. Generally speaking they are likely lacking in nutrition and medicine and will endure this old school, the way humans always have in the past. All except Great Leader that is.

Also, why isn't anyone concerned about what China's been up to in this regard? Seems they've enacted some draconian measures - probably got a number of our politicians jealous. With NK or China we'll never know for sure.

And, the real story is that Prince Andrew has it and can't attend the Jubilee. How convenient.

COVID-19 hospitalizations declining in Alberta

Forty-two more Albertans have passed away from COVID-19 since the province updated the numbers last week, but the amount of Albertans in hospital is declining.

Lab leak latest report

2nd comment:
Yes the joke is sadly true. The WHO knew they were looking in the wrong place, but it was easier for them to “believe” they were at least looking, even though they knew they would never find the answer where they were looking. They knew where they were supposed to look but didn’t/couldn’t.

My personal favourite.

11th comment:
Having worked in high security circumstances I observed this. Extremely high security up front but many “back door” situations ignored. As this applies to lab leaks in 3D world labs I wonder how they dispose of monkey bodies after use. Are they loaded up and expected to be incinerated by third parties but are actually just dumped in bush or worse, sold in wet markets?
