Sorry guys completely disagree and think the 'security services' are playing everyone like a fiddle (basically telling everyone what they want to hear).

Everything since the Mockingbird NYT article has been carefully curated BS with specifically curated platforms (like Newsnation) and positioned mainstream shill players.

Can't find anyone from old school who I respect who still thinks this phenomenon comes from 'other planets' - it's far more bizarre than that.

Please elaborate, how bizarre, seriously very curious to know...

This sounds like the classic nuts & bolts vs WTF theories that have been kicked back and forth for years. On one side - demonstrated right here at AE at times - you have those that see physics and math as a hobby and they attempt to parse what data is available to support theories amenable to that. Understandable, its a traditional approach and not a bad one. However I've seen derision heaped on those who suggest that the answer is far more convoluted than that as those theories do not fit into traditional lines of thinking. No reason both couldn't exist side by side but ego and emotion often interfere.

There are similarities seen in NDE and after death communication; the brain as the source of consciousness is the traditional model, at least from the 20th century forward. Again, those who suggest alternate theories like brain as a receiver are often subject to ridicule. Not unusual when contemporary thought encounters something new and by comparison radical.

Personally, I see both as the latter that's not something that can be easily quantified and filed away. Current thinking is that it all relates to consciousness and I don't consider that woo woo just because its not easily understood much less quantifiable. IMO the two phenomenon are related by this.

Here's my often misinterpreted caution; both of these fields are subject to perfectly human foibles like the need for attention, control of a narrative, greed, you name it. Whatever is real is inevitably mixed in with pure horseshit designed to attract a certain following or achieve a certain goal. This is where I file away military deception, maskirovka, as its always been a useful tool for the military and when I talk about reconnaissance devices undoubtedly at least some of that is what's being reported.

I really have no clue how it would be possible at this point to separate the wheat from the chaff but do think that mixed in all that there are entirely real events, incidents, what have you. The BS obscures whatever is real.

Two old school men who have said as much are Jacques Vallee and John B Alexander and at this point they are probably tired of saying it as it never seemes to gain any traction.

All I can say for sure is that ancient peoples almost certainly knew alot more about this stuff than we do. As good as modern science can be, it also serves very effectively to exclude anything that doesn't fit within its narrowly prescribed (and constantly shifting) parameters of reality. And, intentionally or not, that leads to people making science as the ultimate arbiter of what is real and what is not real. Which can have really bad consequences!

Good points and I mostly agree with them.

This phenomenon though is definitely more complex than what most of us imagine, let alone the very likely situation that what modern science actually reached today in terms of evolvement is not know by most of the population, as there's clearly an almost century old gap between civilian science and military-industrial complex science.
And, to worsen it all, modern people has been led to think the extraordinary anomalous events observed are either paranormal phenomena caused by "entities from other dimensions" or just holographic or materialised manifestations of a higher consciousness.
Of course, those are obviously occurrences that hark back to the origins of life in this universe, but they are also an obvious distraction from a much more directly influential aspect of the UFO phenomenon to our earthly reality, an aspect which involves the same physics, the same chemistry, the same biology in our entire universe. In fact, what's loosely referred to as "nuts and bolts" of the UFO phenomenon is definitely a much more present aspect that probably has long impacted our lives and might impact us even more, let alone the historical UFO abduction issue.

Now, given this long narrative focused on derailing us from the knowing the actual facts, let alone the real history of our species on this planet, it's gotten too hard to separate the wheat from the chaff.
One example is most of today's politicians, who are geniuses when it comes to take profit of the chaos in a society in the most imaginable opportunistic way to spread even more misinformation.
In my country the most recently prominent example is Aldo Rebello, here in Brasil nobody from the news has EVER mentioned that Aldo Rebello (Minister of Defense from Oct. 2015 to May 2016) admitted the Varginha UFO case was true. Curiously enough, this should be in the news everywhere, how come such indifference? I've been following the news regarding the UFO Varginha case to a reasonable extent, and I'm just being aware of that Rebello's statement during David Grush's press conference in the Capitolium.
Sure enough though, the Brasilian people have been living in a BUBBLE like never seen in the history of this country. But then night this reality extend to most of the world population?
Spielberg's CEoTK's was a worldwide fever in the seventies, now what? I think this contrast reflect big changes our societies have gone through in half a century. For good or for bad? Well, to each their own...

Brazil's former Defense Minister and current presidential candidate Aldo Rebelo confirms the country has had contact with non-human intelligence dating back to at least the 70’s. He says that in 1977, in Colares, UFOs were injuring civilians in the Amazon with burns, puncture wounds and blood loss serious enough to trigger a classified military investigation. In 1986, six fighter jets were scrambled against 21 unidentified craft detected by radar – the objects were flying at Mach 20+ and making right angle turns, maneuvers well beyond the capabilities of the most advanced craft today. He also confirms that the 1996 Varginha UFO crash occurred, that non-human beings were encountered, and says he fully believes the neurosurgeon who came face to face with one of them in a hospital bed. He also confirms the American military would have had an immediate strategic interest in the case. Rebelo says there is more classified information about these cases and others, and that they should be released alongside America's. Rebelo’s confirmation of the events at Varginha is the equivalent of former Defense Ministers in the United States like Robert Baker or Jim Mattis saying Roswell happened; its world history that can’t be walked back. And it ends decades of condescension and gaslighting from top ranking officials on this topic.

SPOILER ALERT:
Aldo Rebello has also stated he'll open up the whole truth about the "ET de Varginha" case if he wins the presidential race. Don't expect him to that.

Trump releases new tranche of UFO files revealing shape-shifting orbs over the US and CIA reports hidden for decades

The Trump administration has released a third tranche of previously classified UAP files, adding dozens of new documents, photographs and videos to the government's rapidly expanding archive of unexplained sightings.

The materials were uploaded to the Department of War's website on Friday morning and include a series of cases that investigators were unable to explain, leaving the nature of the phenomena unresolved definitively.

Among the newly released records is a 2025 FBI report describing a video captured by a citizen in the northeastern US. According to the witness, a bright object hovered over their backyard as a 'brilliant red sphere' roughly the size of a basketball. Another never-before-seen video shows what officials described as a 'plasma-like sphere' hovering above a pond at an undisclosed location in the US, appearing to shift shape and brightness as it moved.

Friday's release also includes dozens of long-hidden CIA files about mysterious sightings, revealing that the agency assembled a panel of top scientists to investigate 'flying saucers' amid fears the reports could clog military warning systems and spark mass hysteria.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said in a statement: 'The Department of War is in lockstep with President Trump to bring unprecedented transparency regarding our government’s understanding of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).

'These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation, and it’s time the American people see it for themselves. This release of declassified documents demonstrates the Trump Administration’s earnest commitment to unprecedented transparency.'

Many of the images and videos in the release were submitted by American citizens, with officials noting that footage was captured using iPhones. The FBI report describes the July 2025 sighting from a witness who parked their car after returning from work. 'The light was hovering approximately 25 feet off the ground, below a tree line near the center of their backyard, at an estimated distance of 90 feet,' officials stated.

The witness briefly stepped out of their vehicle before grabbing their phone to record the strange sight. Their spouse soon joined them outside to see what was happening. 'The spouse also witnessed the light, describing it as a “brilliant red sphere” about one meter in diameter. The center of the red sphere appeared to be a white plasma “sun” about the size of a basketball,' the report continued.

The FBI assessment explained that the object slowly rose into the air and drifted left, prompting both witnesses to notice a second identical orb hovering directly above it.

The witness then pulled out an iPhone 14 Pro Max and began recording as the two glowing objects moved westward over a nearby tree line. According to the report, the orbs traveled silently and smoothly, appearing to move in lockstep as if flying in formation or connected to one another.

As they disappeared from view, both witnesses said the objects appeared to merge into a single orb. They estimated the phenomenon traveled roughly 75 yards from its original position before vanishing.

Pentagon UFO files describe 'mother orb' releasing smaller objects in 2023 incident that remains unexplained

Newly released government UFO files describe a baffling 2023 incident in which witnesses reported that a larger "mother orb" in the sky appeared to release smaller objects, a phenomenon Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb says remains unexplained despite an official review of the event.

Loeb said the unsealed documents included a letter from the director of the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) that described a two-day period in October 2023 when law enforcement officials observed orbs in the sky behaving in ways that investigators could not fully explain.

Loeb framed the situation as both a national security concern and, if human-made explanations are ruled out, a possible scientific breakthrough.

"Now, there are two possibilities. If you are down to earth, and you say, 'I'm a realist...' you must admit that there are objects that are potentially produced by adversarial nations that we are not aware of," Loeb said during "Fox & Friends Weekend."

"And they are near sensitive sites, strategic assets. So that's a major national security concern," he added.

The AARO has reported that a significant portion of unidentified anomalous phenomena cases remain unresolved, with roughly 40% lacking a reasonable explanation.

Loeb called for more research and funding dedicated to studying these occurrences and whether they could be tied to foreign espionage.

"Are there drones with very special technologies that we're not aware of?" he asked, describing the lack of intelligence on the subject as a "hole in our defense system."

If investigations fail to turn up an earthly explanation, however, other possibilities may need to be considered, Loeb said.

"But, of course, the icing on the cake is, after looking into that, if we end up concluding it's not human-made — from some extraterrestrial origin — that will be the biggest discovery ever made by humanity."

Trump's bombshell UFO files expose eerie eight-point object and silent craft that breached US nuclear base

Dozens of newly declassified UFO records have been released by the Trump administration, shedding light on unexplained sightings investigated by the US military and other government agencies. The fourth tranche, published Friday on the Department of War's website, says 'it is time the American people see for themselves' as it adds a trove of documents, videos and photographs to the government's growing public archive.

Among the most striking additions are videos showing a mysterious eight-pointed object hovering over East Asia, a jellyfish-like UFO over the Atlantic Ocean and an unresolved case involving an oddly shaped craft zig-zagging across the western US. The release also includes a Department of Energy report detailing how security teams at the Pantex nuclear weapons plant in Texas scrambled after radar detected a silent, diamond-shaped object drifting over the highly secured facility in 2015.

Officers said the craft flew just 100 to 200 feet above the ground with no visible means of propulsion before disappearing, prompting surveillance footage to be analyzed by Sandia National Laboratories and all evidence to be turned over to the FBI. Also included is the influential COMETA Report, a study by retired French generals and defense experts that concludes the extraterrestrial hypothesis is the most plausible explanation for some of the world's most baffling UFO encounters.

The authors warned that the phenomenon should be treated as a national security issue and urged governments to prepare for the possibility that humanity is not alone. The newly released records span decades of unexplained encounters, from military sightings and radar detections to cases that remain unresolved despite extensive investigations.

'These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation, and it's time the American people see it for themselves. This release of declassified documents demonstrates the Trump Administration's earnest commitment to unprecedented transparency.'

According to the Pentagon, there have been 'unprecedented levels of interest' in the UFO files, and the Department of War's website has received over 1.7 billion hits worldwide since its launch on May 8. A second release took place two weeks later, followed by a third on June 12.

Footage of the eight-pointed object was submitted by the US Indo-Pacific Command, the military command responsible for operations across the Indo-Pacific region. The 18-second video was captured from an infrared sensor aboard a US military platform in 2025. It shows the mysterious object moving over the Yellow Sea, hovering in place at times. 'The sensor pans to track an area of contrast resembling a six-pointed star, keeping it generally centered within the center of the screen,' the video description states.

The clip, however, includes redactions, which the Department of War said were added to 'protect the identity of eyewitnesses, the location of government facilities, or potentially sensitive information about military sites not related to UFO.'

Another newly released file includes 32 seconds of infrared footage captured by a US military platform in 2020, showing a dark, jellyfish-like object drifting through the sky. The sighting has drawn comparisons to the so-called 'jellyfish' UAP filmed over Iraq several years ago, though officials have not suggested the two incidents are connected.

According to a debrief submitted by US Northern Command to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), witnesses described the object as a dark maroon color, measuring roughly 12 to 15 feet tall. The report said it appeared to travel with the wind without changing direction or maneuvering and resembled a 'large, somewhat deformed balloon.' The accompanying video shows the military sensor repeatedly zooming and panning to keep the object centered in frame.

The Department of War cautioned that the footage is being released for informational purposes only and does not represent an official conclusion about the object's identity or significance. A video from the US Navy Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF), created to standardize the collection and reporting of military encounters with 'UFOs' and investigate potential threats to national security, was also included in Friday's tranche.

The two-minute and 57-second clip appears to have been taken by an infrared sensor aboard a US military platform in 1996 over an undisclosed location in the western US. The craft, which appeared to be circular with a wing on each side, was soaring over a mountainous terrain as the military jet tracked it from behind.

The latest release also includes nearly two minutes of infrared footage captured by a US military platform in 2024 after the US Indo-Pacific Command reported an unidentified aerial phenomenon to the AARO

The video shows a dark, high-contrast object crossing the sensor's field of view between the 14- and 17-second marks, entering from the upper-right corner before exiting toward the lower left. The remaining footage consists of repeated playback of the same sequence at normal and slower speeds, followed by a still frame captured from the initial pass.

One of the most detailed files centers on a September 2015 incident at the Pantex Plant in Texas, the nation's primary facility for assembling and dismantling nuclear weapons. According to the report, security personnel were dispatched after ground surveillance radar detected an unidentified object moving near the highly secured site, prompting officers to track it for several miles.

Witnesses described the object as silent, diamond-shaped and lacking any visible means of propulsion before it disappeared beyond the facility's perimeter. The report includes radar tracks, surveillance images and enhanced stills produced by Sandia National Laboratories as investigators sought to determine what had crossed the skies above the nuclear complex.

As the sensor magnifies the scene further, the object seems to split into a line of multiple bright points moving diagonally across the frame, with the military sensor continuing to follow the formation for about a minute as it gradually fades into the distance. The release also includes 10 seconds of infrared footage recorded by a US military platform in 2023 after US Central Command reported an unidentified aerial phenomenon to the Pentagon's AARO.

Although brief, the video captures two mysterious objects streaking across the sensor's field of view in opposite directions.

A larger object enters from the lower right before disappearing off the top of the frame, while a second, smaller object drops into view from above and exits at the bottom just moments later. Between November 19 and December 7, 1996, astronauts aboard Space Shuttle Columbia captured a series of three images of an unidentified object in low-Earth orbit

The sightings, many reported near sensitive nuclear facilities, were unlike ordinary meteors, participants said, appearing to travel in nearly horizontal paths, maintaining a constant speed and producing an intense emerald glow while remaining eerily silent. During the meeting, renowned astronomer Lincoln LaPaz argued the so-called 'green fireballs' did not fit the characteristics of conventional meteorites, prompting scientists to debate whether they represented an entirely new phenomenon or even a secret technology.

At one point, LaPaz revealed he had initially speculated the objects might be part of classified US military defensive operations around atomic bomb installations, only to be told the Air Force knew nothing about them, leaving the mystery unresolved. The file dump featured documents from the 1948 Project sign report, one of the Air Force's earliest classified investigations into the wave of 'flying saucer' sightings sweeping the country.

After reviewing roughly 100 reports, investigators noted striking similarities between many of the encounters, including objects described as disc- or oval-shaped that appeared capable of hovering motionless, climbing at astonishing speeds and, in some cases, traveling faster than the speed of sound. Witnesses estimated the mysterious craft ranged in size from a 25-cent coin held at arm's length to objects as large as six B-29 bombers, while some reported seeing them fly silently without any visible exhaust.

Although the Air Force stopped short of identifying the objects, the report concluded the available evidence was too compelling to dismiss outright and recommended continued investigation.

Declassified UFO files reveal hunt for 'dead spaceman' after mysterious sphere crashed in city

Declassified UFO files have exposed an extraordinary US investigation into claims that a ‘dead spaceman’ was discovered inside a mysterious metal sphere.

The object was said to have plummeted into the center of Conde, a municipality in the Brazilian state of Bahia, on November 8, 1963, blasting a hole approximately 13 feet deep.

Reports claimed the sphere had glass-covered windows and contained a human body dressed in heavy clothing marked with inscriptions nobody could decipher.

The astonishing account sparked inquiries by American officials, who asked diplomats in Brazil to determine whether something inexplicable had fallen from the sky.

Details of the alleged crash and its mysterious occupant were circulated among the State Department, Department of Defense and NASA.

For six days, officials pursued conflicting reports involving a possible spacecraft, a dead crewman and a suspected weather balloon.

But when US diplomats attempted to verify the account, the extraordinary mystery began to collapse.

The records were included in the Trump administration’s fifth tranche of UFO files released on Friday, alongside dozens of reports, images and videos previously unavailable to the public.

The story first surfaced in a Portuguese-language broadcast by Radio Tupi in Rio de Janeiro late on November 8, 1963.

A US government transcript recorded the station reporting that a ‘large metal sphere’ had fallen in the middle of Conde.

‘Inside is a human body dressed in heavy clothing bearing inscriptions which cannot be deciphered,’ the transcript stated.

It added that residents had been left intrigued and local authorities were informed, but it did not include photographs, identify witnesses or offer any physical evidence.

On November 14, the US Embassy in Rio sent a telegram to the State Department and the American Consulate in Salvador asking for clarification.

The embassy wanted to confirm whether officials in Salvador had issued an ‘unqualified negative’ response to local newspaper coverage of the incident.

Its message described the object as a ‘large metal manned balloon’ and the alleged occupant as a ‘dead crewman’ wearing a ‘uniform or spacesuit with strange markings.’

Interesting, anyway almost everything coming from my country I take with a grain of salt, even more so in this case that it's included in the fifth trunch of US DoW' "UFO files", which to me has most of the times implied hidden intentions of distraction/misinformation/disinformation, alas.
