While looking at news articles and publicly released files having to do with early UFO/flying saucer reports at the old Hamilton AFB in Northern California, I came across articles describing Air Force plans to install special cameras at various air bases in 1953. Hamilton later reported some technical problems, but I wonder if anyone has researched the history of this project.
It seems like a precursor to modern attempts to set up cameras or other equipment around hotspots. Perhaps I'll end up doing more with it if time ever permits.
