Good Bourbon

Old habits die hard... I still drink Henry Mckenna even though it's kind of on the cheap side because it was what my friends drank in college.

I'm taking a couple sips of Johnny Walker Platinum at the moment, straight no rocks room temp, always...It's got a bit of a bite tonight so coke cola on standby if needed to chase it down...:cool8:

Have you ever tried Turkey Dew? It's Wild Turkey mixed with Mountain Dew. Personally I prefer Mountain Dew Code Red.

I've never drank Wild Turkey before lol...The original Mountain Dew is my preference, although Mellow Yellow isn't bad...

Monkey Shoulder in Egg Nog. OMG!
I finished off the Monkey shoulder today. Nearly a full year after I bought it.... seems to be a theme we’re it not for the pint of Knob Creek,I also finished yesterday, and only bought Sept 6.

So, I guess Knob Creek Small Batch is always going to be in my cabinet now. I bought another pint a few weeks ago, and have had made Irish Coffee every weekend. It is so perfect for these fallish days.

I like the pint size bottles... easy to handle, pour, and store near the Coffee Fixins, and just right for about 8 large Irish coffees (mug). Or 16 traditional Irish glasses.

So, every month or two, I will probably pick up another pint of Knob Creek Small Batch.

Opened my 3rd pint of Knob Creek yesterday. Irish coffee has been a steady thing... one or two each day on the weekends and now daily for the holidays.

I find myself putting in less Knob Creek though... it is more of an accent than a forefront of the coffee experience...

Just a touch, to give it a bit of flavor...

However, I am going to be cutting back on rich foods and beverages now until March... I have a Half Marathon then and I want to optimise my results for that.

HEALTH FIRST!

This New Years Eve, we celebrated with Champaign saucers filled with diet coke.

Breaking tradition only in what we consumed in clarity, we poured as many glasses as we could drink.

"12 Bourbons you need to have on your bar cart" is one of this couple's most popular video's.

Cute... and well done, I think...

This is maybe their second most popular video...

Tis' may be a good night for one bourbon, one scotch, and/or one beer, you see, I do have all three...:cool8:

He stretched that song out for 11 minutes... and he got away with it.

Oh yeah, I first listened to that 'extended version' many years ago, back in the late seventies...

Gave me time to have two bourbons and a beer lol...The scotch came later in the evening last night, along with a couple more beers...

too much doom related isolation will have us dropping due to our vile habits :)

I purposefully did not stock up on bourbon for the shut in.
As nice as that would be, I thought it best, not to tax my system, and eat as healthy as possible.
But, I do have pesnut M&Ms...
;)

What I'm sipping out of the mason jar in my hands ain't from Tennessee but made in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina, just a couple sips though, not too much lol...

Having a few sips of this...
