Kchoo II-Lifetimes
Is currently in round 4 of edit, with plan to release Early 2018.

Kchoo III-Legacy
Writing has begun.
I will post some excerpts here as It progresses starting with this-

Lyra

THE ADVERTISEMENT GRID was placed so the waiting passengers had no choice but to notice it.

Lan tried not to look at it, but when the image changed to the Charri Dancers, his passive expression gave way. He leaned forward to watch.

Del returned to her seat next to him- "I saw them last year at the conference."

Lan nodded-"I heard they are quite nimble."

Del-"And limber. You should go you know?"

Lan-"And beautiful... I plan to buy a ticket next time."

Del-"No. I meant the conference. Better hurry though, they book months in advance."

Lan-"Those conferences are too generic. I spent more time in the lounges, chatting people up. Didn't even try to sell them... just drank coffee and ate scones all day... pretty soon they would ask me what I do... and I landed more clients in one day than when I suffered through those conference sessions and the awful afterparties. "

A flash of lightning outside got Lans attention. The clouds hung low, or maybe the rain was so thick it just appeared that way. The running lights on the shuttle were on. He could see the pilots in the cockpit checking their flight controls and speaking into their headsets.

His bracelet beeped, and displayed a message in the green crystal display- "All Flights Cancelled until further notice."

Lan-"Speaking of which, I guess that's my que! There will be lots of bored people hanging out at the coffee shops to wait out the storm... "

Del-" I am one of them... Buy me a cup?"

Lan stood, and waved his hand as if scooping her up-"Come on, then."

Chari

The Shadow Dance choreography was all hers. Zehra had all but achieved the Right Of Claws, and her dance would earn her that respect! Nobody else had trained to perform the Falling Ritual without at least spraining an ankle, and for the last 300 years, no one had been able to land the last move with enough precision to avoid crushing a spine, breaking a leg, or destroying an ankle. She came close with a perfect three point landing, but then it became obvious. Her pain was too great and she passed out. The elders disqualified her.

This time she was ready. Zehra had practiced it with the harness until she had 100 percent confidence. It would be broadcasted around the globe during the tricentennial celebration show. Billboards advertised her name with the words- "First attempt in 12 years!" - It was sure to bring a full house, and finally, sponsors.

Hanna-"You are so strong!"

Zehra-"Strength is not as important as kinesiology. "

Hanna stood with both arms down in a hunched gesture, accentuating the V of her fur & leather harness straps- "Fearless is what I would call it... you are not afraid of anything!"

Kehra disconnected the buckle on her harness, and tossed it in the fire pit, chanting-"Hanah hae! Hannah hea! Rahhhannahea!"

Hanna had been working as Zehra's understudy for the last year. That chant was earned by both of them. It signified Zerha's preparation for the challenge, and it was Hanna's big chance. Either Zehra would make the landing, and move up, creating the opening, or, heaven forbid, get hurt. Either way Hanna would take Zehra's place in the dance.

They had trained hard. Zehra seemed to welcome the notion that Hanna was ready to be a full time performer.

"You are gonna miss me Cookie!"

Cookie-"Haha! No I won't! Order up! "
- Cookie placed the plate on the chilled counter. -"Poise and Grace!"

Hanna straightened her evening gown and grabbed her tray, centering the dish-"Thanks Cookie!"

She swayed her hips as she walked. Every move was a dance... even when she was simply delivering a plate of sushi to a customer.

The lights dimmed as Hanna carefully propped the edge of her tray on the table. She gently pushed the plate in front of her customer. The Lyran were giants compared to the Charri. She had to work to keep her poise when serving, because the Lyran tables were twice as tall as the Charri tables.

Hanna didn't mind. Lyrans tended to tip well, and most of them were very polite. She slipped her feet out of her heals, climbed up to sit in Lans lap, putting one hand on his shoulder, using the other to straighten his tie, tickle his chin- "Been here before big boy? "-Curtain music started playing in the background- "The Show is about to start."

Lan put a small box on her empty tray- "My friend Del Rin asked me to give you this. "

Hannah kissed his cheek, then dropped down and pulled the tray from the table-"Thanks hon!"

The lights dimmed and the music started-

The tuna flakes seemed to dance on Lans plate in rythm to the opening music.

Lan had always enjoyed the arts, especially interpretive dance. He finally had the excuse he needed to see the show for himself...

Aryans. Before Acceptance...

Daran clinched his fist as he swallowed his last bite.
"Common Dad! I mean, I get it, by keeping the battles over the mountain range, the cities can live in peace... but "The Art Of Perpetual War?' What will they be fighting for? "

Baron picked up his plate and lightly patted his son's shoulder as he stepped to the sink,
"You speak well for only fifteen summers... But if you had seen the things I have seen... orphaned children picking through rubble just to find scraps to eat... you would feel as I do. The people... they... we... have such a deep, internal, instinct to fight, contrasted by a strong desire for the family harmony. With two sides equally strong in battle, they... we... will have a better balance... a safer existence... and a better way to control and balance these struggles..."

Daran unclenched his fist and stood, intentionally slumping his shoulders as he held his plate with both hands.
"Dad, this need to fight, I know it. I want to fight for what I believe... Do you really think the whole planet will accept the books, and the DNA modifications?"

Baron studied Daran's face, looking deep into his son's eyes,

"Not all of them..."

Arya: Sixteenth Winter

Daran sat in his viewing window from the apartment condo near the Halls of Order, watching his Dad go through his dignatarial motions...

Dad is going through with it... He really belives it will work... many people do... but Darans gut was turning sour... he just had such a bad feeling... from the thought of turning people into... he could not even define it in his mind... it just FELT wrong to him...

. . .

Baron watched the from his chair on the lectern.

The 'Monument of Gruell' was carefully removed from it's place in central square, to be ceremoniously and carefully placed into it's temporary cargo container.

Fireworks choreographed to music began as soon as the cargo lid closed.

Gruell's history would be preserved in the 'Museum of Historical Archives' and the monument would be displayed in the 'Pyramid of Historical Concepts' as a reminder of the reason for moving to the 'Art of Perpetual Peace' and the 'Art of Perpetual War'...

This was the largest symbolic act of his lifetime. Removing this monument would mark the day, starting the clock, becoming the the final motion before the acceptance.

The People were ready. The computers had given everyone a chance to include the things they deemed most important for their idea of a safe and secure world. The books were compiled and vetted by majority... Forged by the hands of the people of Arya.

"By the people. For the People. "

Printing would be paused along with all work for this day. The new monument would be quietly, and unceremoniously placed on the day of acceptance.

The monument of new standards-
In the foreground the family of both parents, and both children... a family living in perfect harmony, with a backdrop of the Mountain range, with battles far removed from the family unit, ready to defend Arya from outside worlds, and to serve to keep peace in the cities... A world, continuing a perpetual practice and a perpetual service of two equally matched teams, all for supporting the majority ideal of equality and tolerance of all practices of truth.

The DNA modifications would balance perfect health and strength, making all adults equal. They would retain their ideals, and be allowed to practice them quietly, and without any oppression, other than to follow the rules of familial procreation... un judged beyond that...

The war vehicles would be equipped equally, and the service bots would keep them in prime condition...

Very soon the wearhouses would be full in anticipation of the Call to Acceptance....

It was perfectly designed by a perfect set standards, defined for perpetuation continuation of free society, with service unquestioned in its perfection of protective measures...

Arya: Sixteenth summer

Daran loved staying at the cabin. Exploring the hills and woods... he even enjoyed the hard work of caring for the orchards, working the soil, and harvesting, all by all by hand.
He and Mom arrived first, and and did much of the work themselves, pulling the first moon of preparation, cultivating, and planting together.
For three moons after that, both parents were with him. It was Darans favorite time of year.

Here, Baron was just his dad, and Lerah was just his mom... This is where mom taught him to swim, and dad showed him how to trap rabbits, and to use a bow and arrow to hunt for turkeys, and catch fish with his bare hands.

Everything Darran deemed important, he learned here....
Mom taught him the stories of the old days...

Robotic farming was okay for a while until the crops failed one year. The
people blamed greed and poor management, and the protested, and even
rioted. But they won...

Robotic farming was all but banned 200 years ago, and the corporate farms were bought, and divided equally. Everyone who wanted one had a homestead of their own.

The people were allowed to decide, and majority took up their cause to bond with nature, and it worked out well.

Daran loved working the land with his parents and when the uncles and aunts shared harvest, it was a gloriously fun feast and festival.

He grew up here, climbing trees, running through the forrest... He learned astronomy, agriculture, weather patterns, every type of cloud, every constellation, every thing he trusted most, all right here.

He learned to swim, racing his mother across silver pond, until he could swim faster than her. At least, he could until last summer... before she accepted the DNA modifications.

When she first returned from that, Daran cried at first...

But it wasn't all that bad. The love was still in her eyes, and she matched his strength and ability... and she didn't get tired anymore... He could not out swim her anymore, but she made it fun to try...
The hardest part was her new appearance... oddly youthful. Not the same on the outside, but she had the same heart, and somehow less demanding, and more thoughtful about everything it seemed...

FYI

All royalties from Kchoo Experience have been donated to Hurricane relief.
Funds related to Harvey, and Irma.

I didnt even bother to recover my personal expenses of producing the book.

A big Thank You to my readers!

Fratty and out of touch.
Just received my copy of Kchoo Experience yesterday from Amazon. I've read the first 30 pages. I like how the stories have a dream-like, almost psychedelic feel to them like when you describe how the men in black drove away and their car morphed into a rectangular space craft.

Thank you for buying my book. The most interesting part to me is that they are real accounts.

This is all stuff I really experienced in my life...

Dreams, or real events, the lines between them intersect, and my intention was to convey that in my writing.

I wrote the book, but it would not exist if it were not for their encouragement. Real, or imaginary, I cherish all of my friends...

Still Editing Kchoo II... It takes a lot of hours to write a book...

It seems you can never win against typos. this page isnt marked yet, but it has a big one, and a few small ones.

Okay, finished my marking of the typos. for Kchoo II...

Will correct those, but the story flows well I think.

Not as long winded as the first book...

More fun I think...

Will see what some beta readers say before releasing it... but it should be available before the end of 2017. :)

I am reading my second book, as a reader... not as the writer... the story is good, but it needs some polish and rythm.

It may not be released until 2018...

I find the longer I wait between readings, the more I can see it from the readers perspective...

Last weekend I added my manual edits to the digital... 4 hours on first 3 chapters of Kchoo II.

One hour on the first pages of Kchoo III.

I notice that I tend to read and re-read during changes, making each paragraph is a little story in itself.

This is what makes it a joy to read.

It also takes time.

I know the book is ready when I find myself wanting to go on the next page until the end.

Then I have a friend read it, who will likely find things that still need polish... Haha.
