Kidney or lower back?

I do have a question though. I'm willing to give up soda. Is coffee really bad for kidneys?
Coffee is fine. But caffeine and sugar are diuretics, so you just have to drink plenty of water to stay healthy and hydrated.

Your urine should never be bright yellow of dark yellow - it should always look fairly clear. When your urine is highly concentrated with the darker, brighter colors, that means that your blood is also full of contaminants and toxins - and that slowly damages your arterial walls over time, which leads to arteriosclerosis, which causes heart attacks and strokes, eventually.

Keep well hydrated and you should be fine. It's also a wise idea to drink a big glass of water about an hour before bedtime, to purge your system before you go to sleep. If you keep your blood clean this way, you'll be a lot healthier, especially as you get older.

As the others have said, you should drink mostly water. I quit drinking sodas completely about a year ago. Each 12 oz soda contains about 150 empty calories that provide no nutritional value. Coffee is not so bad in moderation.

As Above So Below
I never was much of a soda drinker, the main liquids I consume are in this order:

Lemonade with stevia
Spring water
Homemade ice tea with sugar & stevia
Gatorade (when I work)

Shadow, you might want to consider these or one of these alternatives to what you consume now, coffee is fine too, I'm just not much of a coffee drinker, I will however drink a red bull on occasion in the morning...lol

I love the energy drinks also but I try not to drink them too often because they're super high in sugar.

I went to the doctor, The doctor sent me to the hospital for bloodwork. I had severe dehydration and a kidney infection, And none of this rules out that I don't have kidney stones, So I have to see a specialist next week, I can't drink anything with sugar or caffeine in it. Until next week, and if the doctor has his way. ever again. Either way, I've been given something called Levaquin, And chlorthalidone, I'm not in pain right now. So, Sleep is happening.

Thank you guys for being there. I'll be back when I wake up.

Please listen to your doctor. That advice is very good and can will save your life.

Drink Tea. Drink water, Do research online in how to eat healthy, with foods available in your area. And also visit a professional dietician to get started in the right direction.

Eating healthy is way cheaper (You don't pay the ultimate price ) than eating the typical fast foods ( we all know about )

And you will be amazed by the energy boost that comes with doing a few simple changes in your diet.
Even your mind gets much needed relief, ( Most don't realize this I think )
