Area201
cold fusion
Before delving into the mystery of the UFO phenomenon and all the government secrecy I spent a long time trying to put the dots together within religion. When I say religion I mean both the inner spiritual side (esoteric) and the outer organizational side (exoteric).
It's quite complex and important in itself - dare I say more so even than the UFO/ET enigma. I found it very helpful to have a base to work off. UFOs/ETs all have to exist in the same universe(s) as us, and therefore subject to the same laws, physical, mental or spiritual.
The question of religion really is a question of ourselves, who are we?
Aspects such as mind, intellect, senses, try to rule or lord* over the bodily domain in every day affairs. One's individualized consciousness identified with any of the three bodies he's encased in (physical, astral, and causal) forms the ego or temporary false self. In it's pure state it is the higher Self -one and the same as a universal Singularity consciousness which we are all apart of (God, Source).
The long term goal of "religion" is to achieve this permanent state is knowledge of one's real nature of - in Sanskrit terms SatChitAnanda or permanent Existence-Consciousness-Bliss. This can be most efficiently done applying various methods to go breathless and control of. These scientific (some call pseudo-scientific) assimilated methods by yogis and mystics who have already achieved the Great Goal or at least were partially successful at.
Jesus' outward display of religion was in the context of Jewish tribes, being crucified and resurrection - as the King of the Jews/Israel/Kings. The pure Self individualized is the rightful King of own's own bodily kingdom whereas the false self or ego is the 'son of man'. This son man must be 'crucified' or killed to make known the pure Self. One has to 'resurrect' one's soul from his deluded sleep state into an awakened state of self-realization. The Christian Gospel is an awesome and creative outer display of what must be done inside to achieve the Great Goal. This is original Christianity.
The Bhagavad Gita (or so called Hindu Bible) portrays this outer display of religion, as a battle of two armies. The esoteric messages are the same.**
I find it makes most sense when viewed within context of a directional, cyclical frame of thought - the Old Testament becomes the New Testament, and (in my opinion) the 1946 book Autobiography of a Yogi is the update to the New Testament and the most current exposition of Christianity. It is most applicable for the new age called dwapara yuga (or Atomic Age) we are currently in.
So that's what came up with from my study on this. I think instead of dumping religion altogether, we just need to rediscover it and see it a new light. I think it's ahead of modern science in that it studies the universe by studying oneself on deepest level.
Reference verses:
*"On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords." -Revelation
**"The senses are superior to the gross body, and superior to the senses is the mind. Beyond the mind is the intellect, and even beyond the intellect is the soul. and having strengthened oneself by oneself, O mighty-armed, slay the insurmountable enemy in the form of desire" - Bhagavad Gita 3:42
List of books I used to connect the dots:
The Science of Religion (1920): religion redefined as a universal psychological definition underlying all man's actions.
The Holy Science (1894): Oldest and most difficult to read comparison of the Hindu scriptures and Christian Bible.
Autobiography of a Yogi (1946): I think the single most important book on the subject; a modern update to the New Testament like the NT was an update of the Old Testament.
The Path and New Path (1980s): Biographical reference to the AOY author Paramahansa Yogananda.
Christ Consciousness (1980): Delves into the earliest civilization(s) on the planet, going back to the ancient lost continent of Lemuria and the creation or intercession by "ancient aliens" or ETs not of the world who tweaked/genetic engineered evolving early humans into modern homo sapiens. Reveals and practices alleged esoteric side of religion before even Hinduism or any modern religion. The author is a contactee who I personally met.
The Bhagavad Gita and The Second Coming of Christ (2000s) published by SRF.
Sacred Science (2005): The author of Christ Consciousness, Norman Paulsen, summarizes consciousness evolution spanning eight dimensions and the Rainbow Path.
