If you are using clear quartz for astral traveling and want to experiment with new avenues in exploration of astral travel, I would suggest trying your quartz with Lapis Lazuli, its an interesting combination...This is a great topic to discuss, there's so much information that can be covered here, I have experience with many varieties of gemstones, some of those in my possession I have manipulated and used as tools over the years...

I haven't purchased any new gemstones for a while now, however that changed tonight when I was browsing on ebay lol...I found a 4 inch diameter Septarian Dragon Stone sphere that I had to have and bought it...I have a dozen or so different gemstone varieties but I haven't had this one before, and I've got some plans with this one when it arrives...

Selentite has very useful properties and is easily manipulated, its a great tool for channeling energies and promotes stability and shielding in time of need...I once went to a place astral traveling and inadvertently attracted unwanted attention, long story short, about six years ago I was hundreds of miles away from home in a unfamiliar city on business and inadvertently attracted negative energies that would not leave me alone and were getting bolder and bolder with their attacks on me...It was really stressing me and tiring me, staying in a hotel but gone during the day working and spending half the night or more awake and protecting myself and fighting off these negative things...I had never used Selentite before but did some research and decided that was what I needed to help end this problem, I went to a gemstone shop and bought nine specimens, seven of a uniform shape and size, a larger piece for a foundation and one of a wand shape to directly handle and manipulate...I spent a few days meditating all I could in my free time during the days, manipulating, honing, and charging these stones, hiding them at night when those negative things returned until one night I was ready...I surrounded myself with the selentite and channeled energies through the gemstones connecting them and creating a stronger protection around me using the wand in my hands to direct energy out to the other specimens...They could not penetrate this and I quickly learned to expand this shield outward and kept them pushed out away form me enough where they were of no bother anymore...For four more nights after that first night of using the selentite they stopped and left me alone, using the selentite was a success and was a very useful tool...

A good healing stone for the physical body is Bloodstone, it's vibrational qualities are such that even sleeping with a bloodstone specimen will effect a regeneration of the body and healing of any aches and pains while you sleep if you have a decent size specimen, however conscious focus of healing energies through the bloodstone has an even greater effect and better than expected results...This is a good gemstone to keep around...

Its really really heavy its made of strontium sulphate. The chunk I have came from a gemmologist I know in town and he got his pieces from Madagascar. He had a polished smaller piece which I bought for $15 and turned it into a pendant so I can wear it around my neck. So as long as you know who your buying it from , being a legitimate seller of gemstones or a known rock hound then you ought to get some. That's the one easy test it is really heavy to hold in your hands.

Great topic and thanks for sharing. I have my own precious stones that come from my family. They come from the family farm which we have had for over 200 years. First is a white metamorphic rock whose name I can't remember, it is used in the foundation of my grandparents' house. Second is gray Limestone, it forms the creek bed that runs the length of the place. Third is coal, from where there was once a coal pile used to heat the house. Samples of each sit on the table next to my bed, I hope that they serve as a beacon for the spirits of my ancestors when I sleep. I'll try to post pics when I get home.

It can open a different twist of events when performing such tasks but I would start meditating with the Lapis Lazuli numerous times beforehand, work with the gemstone some and get the stone hot when you do, I mean really get it cooking inside and resonating at its fullest...I have some fairly large gemstones that I have used in different sorts of tasks, and sometimes I have got even those larger gemstones really hot to the touch by the time I'm done lol...Bringing the Lapis into your technique for astral travel is most efficient when its really resonating and all around you, being immersed in its vibrational atmosphere, and your quartz used as you would normally would, then introducing the lapis its like 'seeing' different subtle access points through that vibrational atmosphere created around you, subtle but interesting avenues to explore...I do not want to be too detailed in my description so as to not influence your experience too much, however in a crude way I can describe it as something similar to watching a 3D movie in a theater, the lapis representing the 3D glasses, lol...(maybe that comparison is silly, but its crudely similar in a way)

I entered the deep astral last night a place I rarely gone. Further My oldest daughter Katlin achieved her 1st astral travel. an experience the humbled and scared her. I also switched to a rainbow quartz.
Rainbow Crystals are very good manifesting crystals , as they have all colors of the rainbow inside them. This means they stimulate every chakra, thus stimulating every creative level possible. try this: place the crystal on your solar plexus. Now using visualization – concentrate on breathing in each color through the crystal, then on wards through the solar plexus and into the chakra concerned. Start with red for the root chakra, orange for sacral, gold for solar plexus, green then pink for the heart, blue for the throat, purple for the third eye, and white light for the crown. Seven breaths for each chakra should suffice. this will attune the stone. Then place the lapis on your crown chakra. I used one carved as the eye of Horus.
I achieved a deep meditative state and stepped into the astral. The transition was quick and easy. As for Kate she did not understand what had happened. She lost focus and returned to her body. I on the other hand visited the Green man in the fey realm. When I returned I instructed Kate on how to travel the realms beyond.

I next will speak of a gem revered though out the ages. Chalcedony It was considered a sacred stone for the Native American tribes especially the Ho chunk and Cree, who frequently used it in ceremony for creating portals to receive messages from the spirit world.

It is even more powerful if one wears an Lapis upon your third eye chakra.
