White House says Biden has sparked 'historic economic BOOM' as stock market plunges into bear market amid record inflation, high gas prices and recession fears: Claims Americans 'are well positioned to face these challenges' thanks to the President

The White House defended President Joe Biden's economic record on Monday as the nation experienced historic inflation, gas prices over $5 a galloon and the stock market dropping. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre argued President Biden actually made historic economic gains, which would help the American people go through these economic 'challenges.' She blamed inflation - prices in May were 8.6% higher than a year earlier - the greatest increase since 1981 - on the covid pandemic and on Russian President Vladimir Putin's war in the Ukraine. 'You know, with this price, high inflation coming, coming out every once in a generation, global pandemic, all of those things play a factor,' Jean-Pierre said. But, she argued, that America would bounce back under Biden. 'The American people are well positioned to face these challenges because of the economic historic gains that we have made under this president in the last six months,' she noted.

That is not a question we should even be asking: Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre LAUGHS as she shuts down CNN's Don Lemon for asking if the President has the physical and mental stamina to continue after 2024

Karine Jean-Pierre was asked on Monday night by CNN's Don Lemon whether the president, 79, had the 'physical and mental stamina to run for re-election in 2024. 'Don, you're asking me this question!' she said, aghast. 'Oh my gosh. He's the president of the United States!' Jean-Pierre, 47, said that she had been impressed by his energy and work ethic. 'You know, I can't even keep up with him,' she said. 'We just got back from New Mexico. We just got back from California. That is not a question that we should even be asking. Just look at the work he does. And look how he's delivering for the American public'.

So they would rather euthanize dogs and cats because of their severely biased views thereby limiting who can adopt the animals...

Californian animal shelter bans people from adopting if they back gun ownership in wake of Uvalde school shooting - and threatens to sue liars for fraud

.

They are also cutting shelters from Petfinder if the animal shelter pays to get an animal such as horses or dogs out of the slaughterhouse trade. Petfinder has always been a worldwide platform for shelters to list animals ready to adopt.

Here's a place you can sign a petition asking them to remove that rule from their guidelines.

'Since I took office, families have less debt and more savings': Biden makes series of false claims as he addresses labor unions - and gets angry as he slams 'lies about his reckless spending'

Screenshot_20220615-053113.jpg

The speech before the AFL-CIO convention in Philadelphia was the president's attempt to reset the terms of the debate on the economy as his own approval ratings have slid while consumer prices - and the cost of gasoline - have surged. 'Since I took office, with your help, families are carrying less debt nationwide. They have more savings nationwide,' Biden said. But despite the president's pronouncements, data from the Federal Reserve shows that household debt has increased by over $1.5trillion since Biden took office in January 2021.

Militant unions 'sending Britain back into LOCKDOWN': Chaos as first festival is CANCELLED due to strikes, conferences return to Zoom and office workers make plans to WFH all week - at a cost of £100m to the economy

Only half of Britain's train network will run on strike days next week - with a very limited service on those lines from around 7.30am until 6.30pm, rail bosses said today as unions were accused of putting Britain back into lockdown. Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union at Network Rail and 13 train operators are set to walk out next Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, which will also severely disrupt services on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. As millions of Britons now face the prospect of having no choice but to work from home for all of next week, the RMT and Unite will also be striking on London Underground next Tuesday in a separate row over jobs and pay. And Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen told MailOnline today: 'I would say it is a de facto lockdown, with all the damage that we know that inflicts not just on the economy, but also to health. The fact is that it is going to cause extreme damage to the economy and the country.' Network Rail said no passenger services will serve locations such as Penzance in Cornwall, Bournemouth in Dorset, Swansea in South Wales, Holyhead in North Wales, Chester in Cheshire and Blackpool in Lancashire. There will also be no passenger trains running north from Glasgow or Edinburgh, and the number of passenger services on the three strike days is expected to be limited to around 4,500 compared with 20,000 normally.

Anthony Albanese and energy minister Chris Bowen will hold an emergency meeting with industry and union leaders on Thursday to discuss the growing crisis, which has been likened to a 'third world country'. The potential for mass blackouts has increased with around 1800MW of coal-fired power not operating in Queensland and around 1200MW of capacity offline in the states of NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. It comes as Sydney hospitals were ordered to reduce their electricity use and millions of households across NSW were urged not to use their dishwashers.

One of the FIVE US Navy commanders axed in the last six days was ousted after being caught 'drunk driving' - while another was removed for 'inappropriate behavior'

Cmdr. Peter Lesaca (left), commanding officer of USS Preble, was relieved of his duty on June 14. On Wednesday it emerged that he had been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He is one of five top naval commanders to be fired in a week. The reasons for the dismissal of the other four (right) were not given. In February, the US Navy issued a similar string of firings that relieved three commanding officers of their duties, citing 'a loss of confidence' in the leaders' abilities.
