UIJEONGBU — Corporal Maxwell Klinger has finally been discharged from the Army after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Trump administration's ban on trans military members.

Klinger, stationed in Korea with the 4077th MASH unit, expressed relief that the day he had been looking forward to his whole life had finally arrived, and he could finally get out of the Army and get back home to Toledo, Ohio.

"Persistence really does pay off," Klinger said while wearing a frilly pink dress. "Everyone told me to give up years ago, but I knew if I stuck with it, I could get out of this place. On the bright side, I've managed to build up a really impressive wardrobe after all this time."

Other members of the 4077th said Klinger's consistency seemed to have an effect on the rest of the unit. "He's definitely not the only one here wearing dresses these days," said friend and colleague Corporal Walter "Radar" O'Reilly. "I don't know if it's other people being inspired or what, but there sure are a lot more fellahs dressing like ladies around here now. We all always thought he had a screw loose, but in hindsight, he turned out to be a real trendsetter. I'll be sad to see him go."

At publishing time, Klinger was reportedly hoping to follow in the footsteps of another prominent cross-dressing American serviceman and someday serve as the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Health.

Pluto, humanity’s favorite dwarf planet, is getting some high-profile allies.
“Star Trek” actor William Shatner wants to use Elon Musk’s political sway to get Pluto reinstated as a full-fledged planet.

“We should ask Elon to get the President to sign one of those Executive thingies to make Pluto a planet again,” Shatner posted on X, the social media platform owned by Musk, a financial backer and close ally of President Donald Trump.

Musk responded: “I’d support that.”

The power of the president’s executive orders is the subject of much debate. One thing is clear, however: Pluto’s status is not determined by the president. The International Astronomical Union, which reclassified Pluto as a dwarf planet in 2006, is the arbiter of such classifications.

I think she misspoke when she said it was owned by the US Navy. Apparently it suffered some sort of power failure and was out of control. In other videos I saw a harbor tug racing toward it but obviously didn't make it. The Brooklyn Bridge was unaffected.

There were men in the rigging and I believe the two deaths and multiple injuries were confined to the crew not onlookers.

With an eye to the World Cup, Trump signs executive order on drone risks

June 6, 20253:39 PM ET

President Trump waves as he departs the White House on June 6, 2025.

President Trump on Friday signed an executive order aimed at reducing the national security and public safety threats posed by drones in the United States.

Trump is ordering a task force to ensure enough is being done to detect and identify drones, and to crack down on unlawful uses like spying and drug smuggling. It's a priority given the upcoming FIFA World Cup in 2026 and the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.

"With large-scale public events such as the Olympics and the World Cup on the horizon, taking action on airspace security has never been timelier," Michael Kratsios, the head of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, told reporters.

The risks have been underscored by Russia's drone strikes in Ukraine, and Ukraine's surprise drone strikes that destroyed some aircraft deep within Russia, said Sebastian Gorka, the senior director of counterterrorism at the White House National Security Council.

"The timing couldn't even be better than it is today, given what we witnessed with the remarkable drone operation that occurred just a few days ago in Russia," Gorka told reporters.

Gorka said the federal response to foreign-made drones — and for protecting U.S. military sites, critical infrastructure and big public events — has fallen short. He said the order would boost the government's counter-drone capabilities, and said that the FBI would begin to train state and local law enforcement to be able to do more to protect against drone threats.

"We will increase the enforcement of current laws to deter two types of individuals: evil doers and idiots," Gorka said.

The order will also seek to boost U.S. development of drones, and commercial use of the technology for deliveries and other purposes.

Trump also signed orders aimed at clearing the way for a new generation of supersonic jets in the United States, and to encourage the development of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft or eVTOLs, sometimes described as air taxis.

"Flying cars are not just for the Jetsons," Kratsios said.

Panic as huge NITRIC ACID spill sparks mass evacuations and grounds all flights within 4,000 miles

A large chemical spill in Ohio has grounded all flights within 4,000 miles and sparked mass evacuations. Thousands of gallons of nitric acid, a hazardous chemical compound that can irritate eyes, throats and lungs, leaked from a tank at Austin Powder Red Diamond plant in McArthur on Wednesday morning.

The company produces industrial explosives used for construction and mining purposes. It is unclear how the leak started. An 'immediate evacuation order' has been announced by the Vinton County Sheriff's Office, specifically for Zaleski - a small village in Ohio.

The panic occurred 185 miles east of the where the 2023 toxic chemical train derailment happened in East Palestine, which completely devastated the town.

On Wednesday, the Federal Aviation Administration has banned nearly all flights from more than 3,700 square miles of airspace near the terrifying spill. 'Only relief flights' are allowed in the no-fly zone.

Dispatchers are currently directing people to evacuate to the Vinton County High School gym.

The massive leak is coming from a storage tank that holds 5,000 gallons of nitric acid, according to Jackson County Emergency Management.

Robert Czechlewski, Jackson County Emergency Management Director, said 3,000 gallons leaked from the tank.

When nitric acid mixes with the air it caused a chemical reaction that produces nitric oxide, which creates and orange, brown gas to release.

MASSIVE volcano explodes in Russia hours after tsunami waves rocked Hawaii and US West Coast

The Klyuchevskoy volcano in Kamchatka erupted on Wednesday after the earthquake in Kamchatka, Russia.

Images shared online show the glow of the explosion and lava descending from the volcano.

In a statement posted on Telegram, the Russian Academy of Sciences' United Geophysical Service said: 'A descent of burning hot lava is observed on the western slope. Powerful glow above the volcano, explosions.'

The volcano is located on the Kamchatka peninsula in Russia's Far East. It has erupted several times in recent years.

Located around 280 miles north of the regional capital, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Klyuchevskoy is one of the highest volcanoes in the world.

The Klyuchevskaya Sopka stands at 15,584 feet in the east of Russia’s Kamchatka region. Observers heard explosions and saw streams of lava on the volcano’s western slopes, the Kamchatka branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences’ geophysical service said.

Scientists have anticipated the eruption for some time, with the volcano’s crater filling with lava for several weeks and the mountain spitting out plumes of ash. Sometimes described as the 'land of fire and ice,' Kamchatka is one of the most active volcanic regions in the world. it has about 300 volcanoes, 29 of them still active, according to NASA Earth Observatory.

Millions remain under tsunami advisories today after one of the strongest earthquakes ever recorded struck Russia, sending tsunami waves into Japan, Hawaii and the US west coast.

Authorities warned the risk from the 8.8 magnitude quake could last for hours, and millions of people potentially in the path of the waves were initially told to move away from the shore or seek high ground.

Hawaii residents desperately tried to get to higher ground as the water quickly receded amid a tsunami alert.

Tsunami waves hit the northern California and Washington coasts this morning, with a 3.6-foot wave being the highest recorded in California.

Wednesday's earthquake was the sixth most powerful on record, and the strongest in Kamchatka region since 1952, with aftershocks of up to 7.5 magnitude expected.

It is the largest earthquake globally since 2011, when a 9.1 megaquake hit northeast Japan and left 19,747 people either dead or missing.

Don’t cry for Jimmy Kimmel

There is no reason to cry for Jimmy Kimmel after the indefinite suspension of his show. He did it to himself through his unfunny, sanctimonious lecturing and poor ratings.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been indefinitely suspended by ABC following his comments about Charlie Kirk’s death, and Democrats everywhere are crying that this is a violation of free speech by the Trump administration. Not that liberals will believe it, but the decision likely had nothing to do with the Federal Communications Commission and everything to do with syndicates not wanting to lose viewers over Kimmel’s comments.

It also has to do with what Kimmel actually said. He chose to dip his toes in the water of the conspiracy theory that Kirk was killed by a right-wing supporter of President Donald Trump. Specifically, Kimmel said, “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the [Make America Great Again] gang trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them.” It is a weird thing to say precisely because the 22-year-old “kid” was anything other than part of the MAGA gang. He was a left-wing lunatic who shot Kirk because he thought Kirk was hateful, wrote “Hey fascist! Catch!” on one of the bullet casings, and had a transgender “girlfriend.”

Kimmel lied to his audience, and syndicates knew they would have to pay the price of a boycott of their networks, so ABC stemmed the bleeding by suspending Kimmel’s show. Kimmel wasn’t censored. He wasn’t taken off the air by Trump’s FCC. He lied to the public and was going to cost his bosses money, so he was (temporarily) given the axe.

Kimmel’s regular political soliloquies and lack of any comedy that appeals to anyone outside an obnoxious liberal bubble also set the stage for his suspension. Kimmel’s show is some 650,000 viewers behind Stephen Colbert’s, which CBS announced it would permanently take off the air next year. Colbert’s show was especially bombing among the 18-to-49-year-old demographic that advertisers are chasing, and Kimmel’s “strongest performance in a year” put him just 1,000 viewers ahead of Colbert among those viewers.

If the finances for Kimmel’s show are anything like Colbert’s, then he is already losing his boss's money. Between the worse ratings, his overpoliticized “comedy,” and lying to the public about the facts of a major political assassination, this suspension was the result of Kimmel’s ego and toxic politics, not any sort of First Amendment violation.

Undocumented chip commands found in billion-device bluetooth chips

Recent discoveries by cybersecurity researchers have unveiled undocumented commands hidden within Bluetooth chips, potentially impacting over a billion devices globally. These functionalities, previously unknown to both manufacturers and users, introduce significant security risks. As these findings come to light, industries are urgently working to address vulnerabilities and mitigate the potential for exploitation.

Cybersecurity experts recently made a startling discovery involving hidden commands embedded in Bluetooth chips, as reported by Bleeping Computer. This revelation emerged through meticulous reverse engineering and testing of the chips, which revealed previously concealed functionalities. These commands, which were not documented in any official manufacturer guides or documentation, could potentially be used for a range of purposes.

The types of commands discovered include those that could potentially allow unauthorized access to a device’s data, modify firmware remotely, or even eavesdrop on communications. The initial reaction from the tech community was a mix of disbelief and urgency. Industry stakeholders, including chip manufacturers and large tech companies, are now assessing the scope of the issue and working on immediate solutions to safeguard affected devices.

The presence of these undocumented commands presents a new frontier of security vulnerabilities. Devices ranging from smartphones to home security systems and even connected cars could be at risk. The potential for exploitation is vast, as malicious actors could leverage these commands to perform unauthorized data access, identity theft, or even more severe cyber-attacks. According to a Forbes article, identity theft is a significant concern, as hackers could potentially intercept and manipulate personal data transmitted via Bluetooth.

Consider a scenario where a hacker could access a smart home system via these undocumented commands, gaining control over locks, cameras, and alarms. Similarly, in a corporate setting, these vulnerabilities could lead to unauthorized access to sensitive corporate data, potentially resulting in financial loss and reputational damage. The stakes are even higher when considering national security, where critical infrastructure could be compromised.

In the wake of these discoveries, chip manufacturers are racing against time to rectify the situation. Solutions such as firmware updates and security patches are being developed and deployed to affected devices. Leading manufacturers are in close collaboration with cybersecurity experts to ensure that these patches are both effective and expediently distributed. However, the challenge is considerable, given the sheer number of devices potentially impacted.

IMO the only one actually qualified to be mayor is Curtis Sliwa but for whatever reason he gets no press attention. Rumor has it he's had an ongoing feud with Trump but I don't know (or care about) the details. I sincerely doubt Andrew Cuomo will overcome the bad taste he left in everyone's mouth.

Residents are just dumb enough to vote for Mamdani and that's exactly what they are going to get - an ineffective mayor who will be bad enough to make Bill DeBlasio's tenure look like genius. Elizabeth Warren had endorsed him which pretty much says it all - when is the last time she came up with any sort of useful idea? AOC a.k.a Sandy from Yorktown Heights has warmly endorsed him too, another red flag. She's gained a lot of weight lately and since part of her appeal is her looks I say have a few more plates of disco fries.

How a city filled with Jews can vote for that antisemitic pro-Palestinian actual commie is mind boggling. My only concern is that my wife periodically travels there and uses the subways - which are about to get even worse.

This is why I don't trust the church
Different professions always attract weirdos. With churches it's child touchers, with police it's bullies and once in a while you find an arsonist working for the fire department.
