His father Kim Jong Il told visiting E.U leaders in 2001, that they had no clue how to fix its internal problems.
At least his father was honest.. His son is just barking MAD

Revealed: The technological challenges that North Korea needs to overcome to hit a major American city with a nuclear weapon
  • North Korea may soon have the ability to hit a major US city with a nuclear bomb
  • This would give the North a chilling new influence over western nations
  • But there are still some key technological challenges the North must overcome
  • Officials must develop a more accurate missile that can survive re-entry
  • They also need to ensure the warhead will get past anti-missile security systems

This is uncalled for, even China condemns this action...

N Korea hydrogen bomb blast 'five times bigger than Nagasaki'

North Korea has detonated a hydrogen bomb with "perfect success", the country's state media has announced.

It claimed the device could be mounted on its newly developed intercontinental ballistic missiles, which experts have said are capable of reaching the US mainland.

Pyongyang's only major ally, China, said it strongly condemned the detonation.

Earlier, Japan confirmed its near neighbour had conducted a sixth nuclear test.

The country's meteorological agency said the resulting tremors were at least 10 times as powerful as North Korea's previous nuclear test, last September.

Experts estimated that blast to have been around 10 kilotons.

It means this latest device was about five times larger than the bomb dropped on the Japanese city of Nagasaki in World War II.

The US Geological Survey said a magnitude 6.3 tremor struck near a weapons test site in the northeast of North Korea.

A second tremor measuring 4.6 was also detected, South Korea's Yonhap news agency said.

Japan's foreign minister, Taro Kono, described the new explosion as "extremely unforgivable".

The Tokyo government has registered a protest with the North Korean embassy in Beijing, he said.

Hours earlier, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe spoke to US President Donald Trump on the phone about the "escalating" situation.

South Korea has called for the "strongest possible" response, including new sanctions from the UN Security Council to "completely isolate" its northern neighbour.

Seoul's national security adviser, Chung Eui-yong, said there had been talks with Washington about deploying US strategic military assets to the Korean peninsula.

Sky News' Asia Correspondent, Katie Stallard, said: "The significant point to take out of all of this is in terms of what response we see from the United States.

"We've seen over the last weeks and months increasing rhetoric from both sides, culminating memorably in Donald Trump's threat of 'fire and fury' against Kim Jong Un's regime if they continued to make threats.

"So the question is, given his previous rhetoric, his previous threats, how Donald Trump plans to respond to this."

Sky News' Diplomatic Editor, Dominic Waghorn, said Mr Trump had to respond "one way or another, so there's a real danger here of provocation, escalation, miscalculation, leading to something really quite devastating in that part of the world".

The blast came just hours after Pyongyang claimed to have developed a hydrogen bomb that could be loaded into a long-range missile.

The state-run Korean Central News Agency released pictures of Kim Jong Un visiting the country's Nuclear Weapons Institute where he inspected the purported device.
State media quoted Mr Kim as saying it was a "thermonuclear weapon with super explosive power" and "all components of the H-bomb were 100% domestically made".

China 'strongly condemns' N. Korean nuclear test: foreign ministry

China strongly condemned North Korea's Sunday nuclear test, slamming Pyongyang for ignoring international condemnation of its atomic weapons programme.

North Korea "has ignored the international community's widespread opposition, again carrying out a nuclear test. China's government expresses resolute opposition and strong condemnation toward this," the foreign ministry said in a statement on its website.

"We strongly urge the DPRK (North Korea) to face the strong will of denuclearisation from the international community, earnestly abide by the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council, stop taking mistaken actions which worsen the situation and are also not in line with its own interests, and effectively return to the track of solving the problem through dialogue," it added.

The test was North Korea's sixth and far more powerful than any weapon it has previously detonated.

Pyongyang declared the test of what it called a hydrogen bomb to be a "perfect success."

Beijing is North Korea's main diplomatic ally and economic supporter and is seen as playing a crucial role in efforts to get Pyongyang to curb its weapons programme.

The test came just hours before Chinese President Xi Jinping was scheduled to open a summit of BRICs nations in southern China.

North Korea's actions create a potentially embarrassing situation for Xi, who is preparing for a politically sensitive gathering of the ruling Communist Party in October, at which he aims to further consolidate his power.

The leader chose not to address the test during his more than 40-minute address to the assembled leaders of Russia, India, South Africa and Brazil.

It was the second time this year that North Korea has timed a weapons test to coincide with a major international political gathering in China.

In May Pyongyang fired a ballistic missile as leaders from 29 nations gathered in Beijing for a summit touting China's new Silk Road project.

This explains the difference between an A-bomb & a hydrogen bomb.
What's The Actual Difference Between a Hydrogen Bomb And an Atomic Bomb?
A hydrogen bomb is different than a regular atomic bomb, like the ones the US dropped on Japan near the end of World War II. Collectively, the two A-bombs that the US detonated over Hiroshima and Nagasaki killed more than 200,000 people.

But an H-bomb is an entirely different beast. It can be up to 1,000 times more powerful than an A-bomb, according to nuclear experts. Here's why.

North Korea tested atomic bombs back in 2006, 2009, and 2013. Their blasts were created using fission - the splitting of atoms into smaller ones.

Heavy, radioactive forms of elements like plutonium and uranium are especially susceptible to do this.

Every fission or split of an atom releases a huge amount of energy. It's the same thing nuclear power plants use to generate energy for your home.

However, if the atoms are quickly squashed very close together, a runaway effect can happen that rapidly splits many, many atoms almost all at once - and releases a catastrophic blast of energy.

Below is a Reuters illustration that shows two different models of atomic bombs. The goal of each is detonate traditional explosives (tan) to squeeze a fissionable material, like plutonium-239 (teal) or uranium-235 (yellow), into a 'supercritical' mass that splits atoms like crazy:

US threatens 'annihilation' as Kim detonates H-bomb: Trump opens door to an attack after Korea's most powerful nuclear test.

Threats from North Korea will be met with a ‘massive military response’, US officials said last night after the rogue state announced it had carried out its most powerful nuclear test yet.

The US had ‘many options’ which could lead to the ‘annihilation’ of North Korea, Defence Secretary Jim Mattis said.

‘Any threat to the United States or its territories, including Guam, or our allies will be met with a massive military response, a response both effective and overwhelming,’ Mr Mattis said.

‘Kim Jong-un should take heed of the UN Security Council’s unified voice. We are not looking to the total annihilation of a country, namely North Korea, but as I said, we have many options to do so.’

Earlier, when asked if he planned to attack Pyongyang, Donald Trump replied, ‘We’ll see’, and said he was holding a meeting with his military leaders.

They will start the third WW

That depends really. If the US chooses to launch an assault on north Korea yes, that would probably cause WW3 because China would then get involved and they wouldn't be on our side. China gets involved, India gets involved, South Korea gets involved, UK would get involved and more than likely Russia would too. If North Korea decided for some stupid reason to fire a nuke at South Korea or any other American interest it would not because then China would not get involved and NK would basically be digging there own grave.

It's a complicated situation and I am hoping that Mr. Trump doesn't get antsy and just go ahead and attack without first trying to get China behind us. Only reason why the US has not attacked NK is because of China.
