Radioactive water may be leaking Fukushima reactors

They need to get a handle on this situation if indeed radioactive water is leaking...There have been more earthquakes in that area lately too...

Contaminated water might have leaked from the damaged Fukushima nuclear reactors after erroneous settings on water gauges lowered groundwater levels nearby, according to the plant operator.

Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) said the settings on six of the dozens of wells around the reactors were 70 centimetres (three feet) below the requirement.

Groundwater at one well briefly sank below the contaminated water inside in May, possibly causing radioactive water to leak into the soil.

The problem in the six wells launched in April was caught this week during preparation at another well nearby.

The company said it is investigating.

The Fukushima nuclear power plant suffered triple meltdowns following the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami.

Cooling water leaked out of the damaged reactors and mixed with groundwater that seeps into the basements of the reactor building, increasing the amount of contaminated water.

Thank you....that should answer my questions....the decommissioning report especially.

Did you find the report on the sampling of ground water?...I haven't had a chance yet to look through that information yet...

Among the links above was the decommissioning report and a few other good ones. It will take some time to get through them.
