Originally this was going to be a random Science facts thread and be in another subforum but I think a random facts thread would be even cooler, The only rule is, Whatever is said, Must be a fact.

Random Fact: In 2014 McDonald's Created Bubble Gum flavored broccoli In an attempt to get Kids to Eat healthier.

McDonald's CEO Don Thompson spoke at an event hosted by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz on Thursday night, where a guest asked what the fast-food chain was doing to get kids to eat healthier. Thompson pointed out that McDonald's had redesigned their milk jugs and reduced their fry sizes. But McDonald's wackiest attempt at making their menu more nutritious was to design broccoli that tasted like bubble gum. If that sounds like it wouldn't taste good, it didn't. Random Fact: Peanuts aren't actually nuts. They’re legumes "Beans". a nut is only a nut if it’s “a hard-shelled dry fruit or seed with a separable rind or shell and interior kernel.” That means walnuts, almonds, cashews, and pistachios aren't nut's either, They are seeds.

It sounds like pseudo-nuts outnumber authentic nuts.
Btw, I didn't think acorns were edible for humans.

oh they aren't. I can't remember the chemicals name but acorns have a chemical in them that actually irritates the stomach lining and literally eats holes in the colon. acorns are to some small extent not poisonous directly and someone could eat a small quantity to survive but they are not healthy for a person and will given time make them very sick.
