20 years ago, someone impaled a 60 pound pumpkin on the top of a spire at Cornell University in the middle of the night. It was over 170 feet off the ground. To this day, no one is really sure how this was accomplished without anyone noticing.

Maybe someone tampered with Wiki. Neither Wikipedia nor Wiktionary currently contains what is in the Tweet.
Possibly the Tweet itself is intended as satire.
You can also review the revision history of the article on definition here:

It shows that the article has not been changed since February. Looking through the recent history of the article, the opening paragraph in the Tweet is not present in any of the recent revisions going back to the beginning of last year.

Editorial cliques can form on Wikipedia which ring-fence certain divisive categories to push their favoured narratives. However, it is usually not correct to say "Wikipedia has changed [x]", but rather someone using the website has, as edits can be made by anyone. I have made many over the past twenty years (usually only to correct spelling or grammar), but I am not in any sense Wikipedia.

Sheppard started to tell everyone about the monster in the following week. Sheppard then made a statue of the monster. Getting his pals into the joke Sheppard took a photo of it surrounded by his friends..The_hodag.jpg
The tale grew until Sheppards hodag was the mascot of the city .today the original hodag is in a museum and the hodag is so associated with the city it's called home of the hodag!

I think the ISS started out looking more like the Chinese photograph when it too was new.

So I assume we have lazy astronauts who disassemble and repair the technology but doesn't reassemble everything back to its original state...

Over the years I've seen industrial machinery in manufacturing facilities which had protective panels removed and not reinstalled, with electrical components or other mechanical devices exposed...There were a few machines where I'm employed at now which were in a similar state with panels and even safety components removed but not reinstalled...

Same thing, I guess they don't bother with keeping the components covered once the need to open them arises...I notice personal items attached around, like small flags, those things would be more noticeable and stand out if they had all the original panels put back in place...
