I have yet to watch Suicide Squad (2016), but I did see The Suicide Squad (2021). I liked it. Right now I'm watching Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018). It seems fairly dark. A reviewer has remarked that it gives a correct portrayal of the Squad as

It was quite good. Frankly, I liked it better than the live action version. Then again, I generally regard animation as the best medium for recreating comic book characters and stories. The plot is centered around what may happen in a possible afterlife; something you don't see often in action movies. 8/10

Several main characters get killed.

I watched Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay a couple nights ago and totally agree with your rating 8/10...I really like the DC animated movies more than their live action cinematic movies...

Btw, Suicide Squad is getting their own video game...

I saw the entire first season. I like it; it's one of the very few Netflix shows I watch regularly. The only potential problem is that it employs multiple timelines. There are guides online if you want to get into it.

As with many adaptations, I believe the biggest critics are fans of the original books (which I've never read). They're hard to satisfy.

By 1973 the apes movies had come full circle. After the parody that the 2nd movie had become. Part 3 had become a statement on tolerance. Here all of man's worst features are on full display. And instead of blowing the apes up man blows himself up. Firmly establishing the time loop that leads to the events of part 2. If the movie was the last it would have been an excellent end. But it was not..

I binged watched the first 4 episodes last night, I'm enjoying this series thus far...The 2nd episode was a bit slow, almost too much dialog but it picked up in the 3rd and 4th episodes...I noticed some of the multiple timelines open up in the 3rd and 4th episodes but it was easy enough to follow, at least so far...Going to watch more later today...

Nice, episode 5 begins in an extremely interesting way with the shapeshifter (or what seems to be a shapeshifter)...

The Witcher season 1 episode 5 is outstanding, nice intro although it's a different timeline than the rest of the story in the epsiode and then at the end jumps back to the intro timeline to add more to the revelations revealed in that intro, lol...

Yeah I saw that the first episode was available, but that's not a review or rating. lol

I saw Ghostbusters Afterlife.

It was so great! I loved it. It had that kid from Strangers Things. And all the guys, even the dead one made an appearance. The granddaughter was practically Egon's twin.

Well acted, a few jump scares, even a few tears. I highly recommend it. 8/10

Thanks. I was going to put it off, but I'll watch right now instead.

Since I recently watched the 1st season I went right into this 2nd season lol...I get a free Netflix subscription through T-mobile now because recently I changed my T-mobile cellular package and Netflix was a perk offered...I started to watch episode 2 of season 2 but I was very tired last night and couldn't stay awake...I have to rewatch that one again later...

And so it ends..this is a low budget movie. Bottom drawer. But it's important in closing the story.
The movie starts in 2670. It's important because in the 1st movie this is where Taylor is giving his final report before going into status. The lawgiver is giving different laws than the 1st.
Ape suddenly realized that they are no different or better than man. They also learn that they are responsible for the events of part 2. Man and ape decide to live in peace. And so with events radically changed the time loop is ended
Not a good movie but a decent story.
5.5/10 mostly due to the story

Spider-Man No Way Home is hands down the best Marvel (Sony) superhero movie of 2021...It was very well done and very entertaining, it has some minor flaws, but balanced out with some really good story-telling and action...I'm not going to give any spoilers buuuuuuut I will say it's definitely worth seeing in the theater...Don't miss the end credits clip either!...

8/10

Alfred Molina and Willem Dafoe are both brilliant in Spider-Man no way home...It was great to see them reprise their roles as Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin...

I tried to get IMAX tickets but they were sold out so we watched it in stadium seating with a wide screen...Our recliner seats were close to center and about half way up...
