Disneyland Paris visitor goes missing after taking LSD; search party is called in after park closes

A Disneyland Paris tourist had quite the trip while visiting the park last week.

An unidentified Swiss tourist allegedly went missing in Disneyland Paris after taking the hallucinogenic drug LSD while at the theme park with his girlfriend on Friday night.

The man and his girlfriend, reportedly also a Swiss tourist, visited Disneyland Paris where the woman supplied the 32-year-old man with the illegal drugs.

At some point after taking the smuggled-in hallucinogen, the man went missing. The girlfriend alerted park authorities after the park had closed and the man was still not found.

Thirty firefighters, 10 divers and 80 Disneyland Paris employees were dispatched to help locate the man, French news outlet L’Expressreports. Dogs and a military Gendarmerie helicopter was also used, according to WDWNT, a blog not affiliated with the Disney Parks.

Around 12:30 a.m., the man was discovered on the bank of a body of water where he had reportedly fallen earlier.

The pair were taken to Chessy police station, where they were detained for illegal drug use.

Deer breaks into home, refuses to leave bathtub
    [IMG]

    [IMG] [IMG][IMG]
FENTON, Mich (WSMH/WEYI) - Fenton Police responded to a bizarre breaking and entering on Wednesday, September 25th.

Police believe a deer may have been hit by a car and then crashed through the window of a home.

Once inside the home, police say the deer went into the bathtub and would not leave.

Sgt. Dave Reinfelder said officers called the Michigan Department of Natural Resources who came and took the deer away.

The deer received cuts to the head and near its eye.

Surprisingly the deer didn't knock anything over in the home.

Guinea Pig Ice Cream Becoming A Cool New Treat In Ecuador

QUITO, Ecuador (AP) — It’s a real ice cream flavor: guinea pig. Anyone who thinks of guinea pigs as pets _ cute, squishy, squeaking bundles of fur _ might find that idea hard to digest.

The rodents are a traditional hot dish in some Latin American countries, including Colombia, Peru and Bolivia. In Ecuador, people typically cook guinea pigs with salt and serve them with potatoes and peanut sauce. But one vendor is taking things to another gastronomic level, serving guinea pigs as a cold dessert.

Some people like ice cream made from “cuy,” as the animal is locally known.

“I was suspicious, but it was tasty,” said Marlene Franco, a 78-year-old retiree who tried a scoop at a stall next to a highway linking the Ecuadorian capital of Quito to the city of Sangolqui.

The stall owner is María del Carmen Pilapaña, whose offbeat offering inspires disbelief and laughter among first-time customers.

Pilapaña’s operation is small. It consists of two tables in an open area lined with dentists’ clinics and other businesses. Even so, demand is growing. Every week, the entrepreneur prepares 150 servings ($1 for a cone) of guinea pig ice cream.

She also makes 40 servings of ice cream flavored with beetles, also traditionally eaten as a salty snack, and a smaller amount of mushroom ice cream.

He grew a 910-pound pumpkin and then used it as a boat

Instead of making a giant jack o'lantern or a massive pie that could feed the whole town, a farmer in Tennessee took his 910-pound pumpkin out for a spin in his pond.

It's been Justin Ownby's dream to grow a giant pumpkin. And for the past four years, he has been trying to reach his goal of growing a 1,000 pound pumpkin, his wife, Christin, told CNN.

This year the farmer from Cleveland, Tennessee, had an extra special seed to plant in May - a seed from last year's record-breaking pumpkin grown in Tennessee that weighed more than 1,700 pounds, according to Christin.

Justin Ownby standing next to his giant pumpkin. "He was out there daily watering it, covering it during the heat of the day and making sure the beetles didn't get to it," she said.

When it was done growing, the pumpkin was hauled onto a trailer. With the help of a neighbor, who had access to a large scale, it was weighed.

"It's the biggest we ever grew," she said. "The largest before was 220 pounds."

Justin hollowed out the pumpkin to harvest the seeds and then decided to have some fun with the kids, Christin said. On Monday night, he plunged the pumpkin in the pond on the family's property, climbed inside and with an oar in hand he started paddling around. Christin recorded his adventure and posted it on Facebook. At one point, Justin even tried standing up in the pumpkin before tipping over into the water.

The pumpkin loaded on the trailer. Christin said the family would've placed second at the fair but they already had a family trip planned during the time of the event. She added Justin won't stop growing giant pumpkins anytime soon.

"He is hoping to break the 1,000 pound mark next year."

Last month, pumpkin boat races were held in Morton, Illinois, where participants had to paddle their way across a lake while sitting in 500-pound pumpkins.

11,000 zombies go for bike ride in Florida

Oct. 22 (UPI) -- About 11,000 people donned costumes and got on their bicycles for the Zombie Bike Ride, organizers of the annual Fantasy Fest event in Key West, Fla., said.

The Sunday evening event along the Atlantic Ocean shoreline and streets of Key West featured some 11,000 people in zombie costumes and makeup peddling together to the annual ZombieFest Street Party on Duval Street.

The zombies were joined by a smattering of skeletons, evil clowns and other spooky Halloween-themed ghouls.

The 10-day Fantasy Fest, which runs through Sunday, also includes a pet masquerade, the exotic Headdress Ball, themed costume contests and an evening parade.
