Super Bowl LII

Being a better player isn't just about records set, you can't see past that...

As I said EVERY Eagles player IS a better player than Brady, every single one, because they did not cheat to win and they WON...

The Patriots are losers and Tom Brady is the biggest loser, he has no dignity or honour, can't even muster a handshake to the QB who beat him...Pathetic...

He doesn't have the record for NFL titles by himself yet.....he needs that 6th super bowl title and the patriots need 2 more super bowl wins to take that record. That's assuming the Steelers don't win another one before hand.

Both your posts are on the mark......an interesting stat and commentary from Sports Illustrated.
NFL's Greatest All-Time Quarterbacks

I don't think Brady is better (raw ability as an athelete) as an actual QB from say...Montana, Manning, Unitas, Ellway, Marino .etc....the difference was the organization around him allowing him to reach that stellar potential. The Patriots assembled a winning team over the last years that allowed Brady to succeed. I think any of the great QB's in the same position would have also took advantage of that and performed in a similar winning fashion as they all did with the teams they ended up on....their teams simply weren't as well rounded in all categories when they were on those teams. They had less chances to 'break' those records when they played.

Ummm what? Tom Brady has 5 super bowl rings. That's the most by any individual player of all time.

That's not true at all. Half of those players you mentioned were before the salary cap era. Those teams that Montana and Elway played for were beast. Manning is just a splitting image of Tom, he was a smart QB. Brady has battled through key injuries everytime they won a super bowl, and saying there teams were stacked all the time is laughable. Most of the players on the pats are cast aways from other teams because they didn't perform. They turned into superstars by playing for Tom Brady and company.

None of that, salary cap, injuries, is truly relevant.....the point I'm making is that any of those QB's (and others btw) are excellent...and regarding pure athletic ability I don't think one is necessarily 'better' than another.....Brady was in the right place at the right time...with the right org around him....period. That doesn't diminish his record but it doesn't mean the others couldn't have done the same thing if they were on that same team in the same time frame. There's no magic here...but simple logic.

Tom Brady took over for a shit patriots team after Drew got hurt and won a super bowl. Literally every single time the Pats have won a super bowl they were riddled with key injuries. Tom Brady is just a smart QB and he works with what he has. That's part of what makes him great. Not taking away from the other greats of course. But Tom is the best, and it's been a pleasure watching him. It should be for everybody.

Joe Montana's legacy has been tainted ever since he admitted to Jerry Rice using stickem for all 4 super bowl wins. That's real cheating right there.

You should watch the Facebook documentary on his training regime. It's pretty incredible. The guy literally trains every single day of the year to get as good as he is.

Don't forget Bart Starr who also has 5 NFL titles....and Terry Bradshaw who had 4 in a shorter period of time. Starr has the highest post season passer rating in NFL history and a 9-1 record.

Well...

Not that I'm interested in inflategate, or Brady, or football.

Popular Science or somebody did a recreation and statistical analysis of football inflategate.

The conclusion was that it was about 60%.

So yeah they might have. But if you go into court with p > 0.05 your goose is cooked unless the standard is "preponderance of the evidence".

And as far as I can tell Brady is the best.

Bart Starr was a fantastic football player. But he won 2 super bowls. The others were before the Super Bowl existed and it ended at the championship. Which is why he isn't up there with Tom Brady, Montana and Bradshaw. Not my call, that's just how the record books work.

The Patriots are losers this year, records do not matter, regular season wins do not matter, what matters is winning the biggest game of the year and they lost, remember that, better luck next time, if they don't cheat again to win games as has been their history and Bradys legacy, he will always be known as a cheater...

Which super bowls was he known as a cheater in? Oh yeah, thats right. None. Learn the facts. The facts are he did not cheat. Science supports this. You are just plain whining now. If you dont watch more than one game you don't have anything useful to this conversation. You are just a whiny pats hater like all the other people who don't watch football but jump on the bandwagon of "toms a cheater" because he wins. Just stop. You are embarrasing yourself. Your crying is annoying.

Actually I'm just stating facts, the NFL found him guilty of cheating and suspended him...They do not do these type actions lightly...I never said they cheated in a superbowl, now you're twisting things...

I'm not whining at all, seems you are a sore loser and can't get over your beloved cheating team losing the most important game of the season, perhaps if they cheated again they might have won...So go on and defend cheaters and losers, my money was on the winners and I've been quite happy about that...

Well said......he was suspended for a reason and to say that he and the patriots were penalized because people don't like them absolutely qualifies as whining.

When you watch more than one game a year come talk to me. Everybody that pays attention to football knows it's a lie. A federal judge found him not guilty but NFL suspended him anyway with not a single piece of evidence. Apparently that means nothing to you because you are a bandwagon wine ass Patriots hater when you watch only one game a year. You know nothing.

Sore loser though? Nothing in any of my posts hints of me being a sore loser. Learn to read. I've had the pleasure of seeing the Patriots in 10 super bowls in the last 17 years. Winning 5 of them. I literally have nothing to cry about. I am a fan of the greatest dynasty ever in the NFL. Again, nothing to cry about.
