Its the way he tries get something, for instance he will see something moving in bushes up ahead and go wide open towards it and waits until the last seconds to put on the brakes, he's trying to get to that spot as quick as he can...I sometimes say something to him when he's running if I don't want him to go that far or in that direction and he will stop and come back to me, after this injury I'm going to keep him from running hard like that...Hopefully it isn't too damaged and he heals quickly, the ER vet said it wasn't broken and I see kobi walking and putting more weight on it than he could earlier...He's sleeping in my bed right now lol...

I know. They will follow you to the ends of the earth. Try to remember to put him in a stay command before you get up to go somewhere. You'll be surprised by 2 things. 1. How often you get up. 2. How many times you forget to put him in stay before you get up. lol

Minutes after I posted this I got a call from a friend who (long story short) was 'stranded' almost 2 hours away and couldn't find someone to go pick up him and his son and drive them home, until he called me...So almost five hours later I'm finally back home, tired as frak, driving so much in a short time, I haven't been driving at night much this year and driving to a town I never been to before either...Had to leave kobi at home, he didn't need to take a road trip like that and he would have a hard time getting in and out of the car unless I carried him, best he stayed home...Time for sleep now lol, I'm really tired, what a day...

Is he a breed dog, and if so which type? I have a Belgian Shepherd that does something similar -- goes top speed towards something or someone and then stops at the last second. think she just likes to scare them and get their attention. I also have three other dogs, all rescued, and none of them do that.

He's a pure breed Australian Shepherd, about 75lbs...The dog I had before him who passed away years ago was a Jack Russell Terrier about 28lbs and he never did that either...

I took the wrap off his leg, he was trying to get it off during the night lol...He's favouring the leg but not as bad, walking around a lot better than yesterday so it seems he's not too injured...Hard to tell for sure, his regular vet will see him tomorrow morning and go from there on his recommendation...

I had to switch vets back in July, his regular vet was a different doctor but they changed policies because of covid and would not allow anyone in their building...They had curbside service came out to get your pet and took only the animal in their facility...Well that doesn't work for me, kobi will not allow anyone to take him without me present except my mom and one particular friend he trusts...He refuses to let the vet or staff take him in their building alone so I had to change vets and find one that allowed me to enter their office with my dog...

Anxiety is worrying everyone secretly hates you and is just tolerating you. EVERYONE. Bosses, coworkers, customers, family, friends, partners. No matter how many times they prove otherwise. Anxiety is constantly worrying that you’ve said the wrong thing, been misunderstood, offended or mislead. Always. Even after being assured you have not. Even if what you said was taken well. Because you’re always worried that people are just tolerating you.

Anxiety is worrying that your posture, dress, tone of voice gives off the wrong impression. That it’s causing you to miss opportunities. That it’s obnoxious, annoying, even offensive. Even if you know that’s ridiculous. Even if people compliment you on any of these things.
Because anxiety means you’re always worried people are just humoring you.
Anxiety is walking around 80 percent of the time sure that people are just being nice.
It’s debilitating. It makes everyday life hard. And anxiety gone unchecked leads to very low-lows … and of course, who likes someone who’s sad all the time? Even if people are supportive. They’re probably just tolerating you, right? Just being nice.

And the worst part is, even though you can’t help it or control it, there will be people out there who say “all of this focus on what people think of you is selfish” even though your every thought is about others, whether you’re offending them, hurting them, annoying them, actually helping or contributing.

It's a hindering and quality-of-life-eroding issue that many suffer from, and that more people don't take seriously.

Be kind to everyone. Because you have no idea what’s going on in their heads.

I'm exhausted, my energy is really low, I havent slept well either the last few days, going to take a long nap this afternoon....

Yeah that helped a lot, slept the rest of the afternoon without interruption...I had some leftovers for dinner with a glass of wine and have been playing tug of war with Kobi and one of his rope toys lol...Get a good night's sleep tonight and things will be right as rain in the morning...I was really drained there earlier, like my phone dropping to 10%, dimming the backlight down low and shutting down apps lol...

Your wife must have heard you say that once and started using reverse psychology on you.

As a hobby I like to translate the very earliest Sumerian texts, the ones that have never been translated. I need to know a particular sign and it's been assigned to the "unknown" category by all of our scholars.
I think in stands for Gar, which means to put in place, to replace, to induct, etc., but I have no evidence.
I found an example today that had that unknown symbol, and decided to find out what it might say if I use my meaning for that one symbol and traditional translations for the remaining ones. Yes, I am getting to my point and it is good.
Using my meaning, the tablet says:
2 were inducted, or installed as replacements. (into the scribal guild or society).
1 was of renown, a "name", someone of importance
and 1 was a man.

They did have male and female scribes in that early period (3500 BC) and apparently
the females also had a sense of humor.
Now I get to write this up for Academia.org, since I have solved the meaning for that unknown sign.

And yes, the previously unknown symbol, which we now know means "put in place"
was stenciled on the side of a UFO that crashed near Russia some 40 years ago.

It's 75 here today. Another day in paradise. Don't get me wrong, though, it has been known to climb as high as 85 and in the winter it gets down to 55! We don't have A/C or Heat, other than a fan and a fireplace, because we would never use them.

There's big excitement around here though, because my daughter has a miniature pig called Lucy, and a Goat called Ignacio (Nacho for short). Both were in their pen but Lucy escaped. And then this five month old pig, Lucy, used her mouth to try to open the hinge on the door to the pen to let Nacho, her buddy out. I have video, and I'm trying to convince my daughter to put it up on Youtube, along with a go-fund me for a larger pen for the two of them. And perhaps some extra change for new uniforms or bling bling for them. Working, Working.

I've been seriously looking at buying another house recently, I began looking after Thanksgiving two months ago and found a decent 3 bedroom brick home on 7 acres that was one county to the north and closer to the mountains too...There was an inspection done and there's major problems with the septic system of the house that the owner refuses to address and also refuses to negotiate the price, so I'm looking again...The problem where I live now, well its the start of a problem that will grow as the years go on, a guy down the road sold his land a couple years ago, no problem there, but then the new owners then sold it to a veternarian who was going to build a house on it and decided to build a new vet office and kennel instead...Still no too much of a problem however he had the land re-zoned to commercial land and the small town captured it as part of theirs for the extra taxes...I've noticed the town has been doing that to businesses being built in the county outside the city limits of that town, looking on the county website maps you can see checked parts of land all around the town re-zoned and captured by the town as their jurisdiction instead of the county...So the city has a foothold in my area and directly down the street from me, its only a matter of time before the town absorbs more lands around me and re-zones more of it for commercial use...I will not wait for that to happen, so I'm moving as soon as I find the house I want to purchase...

Well, there's my laugh for the day. I got thrown off of EBay years ago. I opened a store here selling stun guns and cell phones. So I bought a bunch off of EBay, to stock the store. I was doing good and then about a week later, before I could buy everything, they told me I was buying too much too fast, and threw me off and cancelled my orders. Since when is buying too fast a crime? My money was good, and being taken, but somehow they don't like that. The sellers sure did.
