A bit of random surfing at midnight last night revealed a lot of .... drek TV programming.
I thought it was against FCC rules to be inebriated in air.
Anderson Cooper and Any Cohen were drinking tequila and noticeably drunk. Why is that entertaining? Drunks are only entertaining to themselves, to everyone else they are tedious.

I remember that - I think you have what's called a GTE Fortress. Good luck with getting that thing open, they are designed to hold a fair amount of $$ and be left unattended in public for long periods of time.
They made those things new and just modified the guts for years. Mine was taken out of service probably around 2000 in Portchester, NY but when I open it up the case dates back to 1960 something. It's maybe a 3/8" steel or thicker. I'd need a grinder and several minutes to crudely crack it.
I doubt this would work but might be worth a try for fun
I never touched these things when I was on the clock, not my gig, but I was impressed once I got a look at this thing. The person who collected the coin boxes could open part of the case with one key to remove the coin box. That box was padlocked also (trust no one). That person would just put in another empty, locked coin box and relock the case. There was a numbering system to keep track of what went where. They hold a couple hundred bucks.
The service person had a different key and couldn't get to the $$. Pretty clever. We forget about all that and all the overhead that went with it. S goes the public payphones and if anyone's noticed, highway toll collectors are virtually gone also.

Relocating is a hot topic with my wife and I at the moment. We live in NY and I can understand the need to flee the taxes of nothhig else.
If you don't mind, why Tennessee ? Do you have access to basic services or is it rural? Just curious.

What part of Tennessee if you don't mind asking...I ask because my wife and I talked about moving to the mountains in eastern Tennessee and that still may be in the cards for the future...For now we are staying put in North Carolina...

I've had some kind of respiratory infection the past six days or so, finally starting to get over it...Now my wife has started feeling ill, same symptoms...I don't have to work again until Friday so I'll be home tending to the puppy to give her a break to rest up...

I got me better tv stand the other day. While switching it all out i found my old PS4 from 2021. It had stopped working, so i took it apart cleaned it when it first happened and miss placed it and I`ve been looking for it ever since. I hooked it all up and it booted nice and wanted me sign in to update system software. It did all that, updated all the games. I`m like cool. Kinda surprised accually. I`m sure the grandkids will like it, given them something to do while their here.

No shocks or springs. That's why Harley has made Softail models for years - they hide the suspension but it has one. Good news is with that peanut tank you'll be getting off to stretch when you stop for gas frequently. Heard HD went Woke and I can't bring myself to find out because I don't wanna know from that.
