fair enough

Edit to add:

though i'd be interested seeing you try to answer the question in post #35

Well on this report the best start would be to try to find the man who reported it...or CETI, Lisa Randall.
They may be of help since he supposedly contacted them.

The story posted by SD reminds me of an account given by a gent from Australia on AH not long before it shut down. I'm going on memory here, but the basics were that he was out driving on the highway in a very rural area that he had been through before. At one point, the scenery began to change somewhat from what he remembered although he was on the same road. He stopped his car to look around and saw a man standing in a field. The man stared right at him but didn't say a word. The man was holding something in his hand, and was slowly raising it up. By the time the object was at shoulder level, the witness said he realized it was a pistol. The man still said nothing but had a very sad look on his face as if he had been crying. The man continued to raise the pistol and then turned it so that it was pointing at his own head. The witness, now terrified of what was about to happen, closed his eyes and waited for a gunshot.

After a few seconds of silence, the witness opened his eyes and the man had disappeared. Somewhat in the distance, the witness saw a house, I don't remember if he said the house had always been there or if it was a new addition. He walked closer to the house and saw the same man looking out the window at him. The man appeared completely unharmed, but was now standing upside down as if gravity had reversed itself. The witness decided he had enough of this sort of fun and headed back to his car. The rest of his trip was uneventful, and when he returned to the area a few weeks later everything appeared to be the way he remembered it prior to the incident and there was no sign of the strange man.

It seems that there are places where the usual norms of Planet Earth just don't apply, even to the point where we can't categorize just what sort of paranormal we are dealing with. Skinwalker Ranch had stuff like this happen constantly. Perhaps areas like this are areas where the substances that make up the cosmos, i.e. space/time/matter/energy/laws of physics and so on, have become just a little frayed or unglued.

I also read something similar a couple years ago, I think it was two people, a woman and man driving through the desert in Nevada heading to Las Vegas, they we're on a main highway and needed fuel so went down inside road and happened upon a small town, the buildings architecture was quite different and especially the cars looked very different, please forgive, I cannot remember much of the details presented in the article, but the people quite taken by what they saw and did not stop but instead turned around and drove back and hit the main road and left the area...

They should have stopped gas was probably cheaper.

There was one about some college girls that suddenly found their surroundings (while traveling on a Nevada highway) seemed different and changed. They stopped at a small town to ask for directions and they noticed strange writings on the neon sign. Out of this building came a creature not very human.
Maybe that is the one you were thinking Nivek?

Cases like these are so bizarre it is hard to imagine someone could make them up. The book on Skinwalker Ranch describes an RV camper with green lights in the windows that would silently glide through the fields at night.

Hope no one has posted this yet, a 124 year old book which appears to be story involving Baron Trump, which also involves a doorway in Russia which enables time travel.

'baron trump's marvelous underground journey' a real book from the 1890s?

124 year old books with VERY weird parallels to 2016-17
Links to the books and other sources at the video

yep

By believing something like this door thingy is a possibility- such a possibility that you'd spend money trying to find it is by default a fantasy!!

Are you trying to be funny?

Where would we be if everyone was such a stick in the mud notdej? Following your heart is where life lives.

I once read a story about an expert level remote viewer who was going for a walk, as he frequently did, along a wooded path. Suddenly the forest looked different. He looked down an embankment and saw what appeared to be an active indian village. Indians disappeared from the region centuries ago. He saw a figure off in the distance and waved to it. Remarkably, the man waved back. He walked a little further and everything was back to normal.

Where would we be if everyone was like Notej? We would be debating people on every forum in the English-speaking world, apparently.

I don't see any debates here anyway.....but then that's a good reason to ignore things.

Where you're getting debate out of a statement Castle-Yankee is beyond me. I'm merely making a statement. Humans have written about the overbearing mental conflicts where logical reasoning, or fear of what society thinks leads to ruin, and these stories are the recorded record of human folly which comes in as many forms as the desires of the soul.

You can ignore this warning and self combust, or you can realize you're a human being. It is an absolute that any soul who denies their desires will eventually go suffer a mental crack-up. That's an absolute. It's not a debatable issue. It's a part of the human condition.

Let me clarify what has apparently become a misunderstanding. I was actually trying to be supportive of the comment you made, Gambier, regarding Notdej. I thought I would make a subtle reference to the way in which I've found Notdej (aka Dejarma) present at every forum I visited prior to this one. He seems to be everywhere. Like an annoying, highly contagious, lingering rash, he flares up unexpectedly from time to time during random threads. Itchy and festering and resistant to antibiotics, he has followed us to Alien Expanse. :(

I was not in any way trying to criticize the thread or Gambier or Yankee.

I didn't think you were....I was just commenting on it.

At AU there was someone who ended up getting booted....(he sounded neonazi)....but he was always whining about debating this or debating that. But even in almost 11 years there I seldom saw anything even resembling a debate. My comment was just to say I still haven't seen any debates here either.

I joined AH near the end of the Joe the Waiter era. I remember that his comments were often quite incendiary. He made a post about a month after he left that he had moved somewhere way out west where the WiFi (?) was inadequate and that he missed the forum.
